Hi i believe in god our heavenley father ,without him in my life i would be lost and alone ,i know god is with me in my hour of need ,i know god is there for me ,i need him ,i know god exists ,i know we came from god i do not believe in evolution i believe god created all life on this earth plane and all of nature ,nothing will change my mind about this ,i have had some really unhappy and hard times in my life and i know its my faith what has got me through ,i never blame god when things go wrong because god is all merciful and loving and would not cause human suffering it is the devil who does that ,i firmly believe in the devil i know he is the one causing all the pain and destruction in the world ,i believe in the second coming of christ and thats when all the suffering in the world will end and their will be a new earth the former things will have passed away ,i know some will disagree with me but everyone has a right to their own beliefs ,god gave us all free will ,i love god and i always will love deanna

Hi Deanna.
  When I was young, my family went to a Baptist church. Up until the age of around ten, they switched to a Lutheran church. I was deeply involved with going there; being an acolyte and on the choir. I wanted to obey God and do good for everyone my whole life. When I graduated high school, I went in the Air Force and off to Japan. Over there, I studied all religions and philosophies. My thirst for knowledge grew and I started to realize that there was more than what the Christian teachings offered about God. I even joined a Buddhist group and have my own gohonzon (sacred scroll).

  Since returning to America, I discovered the teachings of Eckankar, which led me to learn of a religion that sprung out of India and Pakistan many years ago called Sant Mat.   Jews, Christians and Muslims aren't the only ones that hold to a belief in one main God overseeing it's creation. When the serpent tempted Adam and Eve to gain the knowledge of good and evil, to which they did accept the offer, God punished them to a life of toil and death. That's the Bible's main theme. Yet, if they had not succumbed to their desire for knowledge of good and evil, would they really be content to sit around and play with God's creatures while singing happy songs in praise of Him?

  Through God's grace of free will, we were given the opportunity to explore God's creation and learn how we could also exist as co-creators in this vast universe. God was lonely, and needed a way to expand into new avenues of adventure. What better way, than to let us help.

So my question is this:  Do you also accept gems like these four?

I believe in myself more then anything, I just cant believe in something which i cannot experience myself. If god does exist, then he/it is way to mysterious for me, i like to know were i stand.

I don't believe in god in the sense you do, Deanna, and I haven't been traumatized by life...a belief in a god that makes you feel happy and secure is nice, but not necessary.

I would never think that you should give up your god, but I hate to think you worry about those of us who don't really have one...it isn't at all a bad thing, nor indicative of trauma or anything negative.   I'm perfectly content with my beliefs and content to let others have theirs (as long as they lay off legislating mine as part of them).  Concern for others is nice, but no point in being concerned where there's no problem.

Hi Deanna I know that God knows of my continuous suffering and he knows of my silent pain as well,my marriage is down the swanee river,but God will help me to get through this and he will always love me and walk beside me,so i will never really be alone,i love God with all my heart,he is my best friend,he really cares about me and he will always love me for who i am.

I believe in God, too, and I've had my own spiritual experiences.

I also believe God created Nature. I especially like when it rains outside, and how the clouds move to different areas of the earth, while the rain comes down and washes and cleans the earth. The sky is always blue and the grass is always green afterwards, like God intended.

To me a God like that is sadistic.. I believe in God too... Just not that God in the Bible..

God doesn't control anything, hasn't planned anything - you are at the mercy of a chaotic system.
