Hello  :) ,

This website has a beautiful design, very efficient for grouping topics/ threads. Forums, indexes, and the search capability all add to the ease in helping to research individual interests. Exploring all these areas like a tourist, if you haven't yet, may show you some 'hidden' gems.

However the long on-going or revived threads especially
break down this well-thought out organization.
With the exception of OobeDude's journal, for which he can somehow :o  share his own personal index, these long threads get tangled up in all sorts of inaccessible topics.
For any of us whose time is limited, your additions to
these long threads become inaccessible.

If you are sharing your questions, inspirations, answers, etc by writing into this community record,  don't you want people to hear what you have to say ?

I hope this thread will be used to explain the advantages of these long threads, as I seem to be more dissing them.

Some slight variations would make for much increased accessibility. Here are two; I hope you'll add some pros and cons to this---
----When one is on a long thread that has changed topics from its title, could they copy the last post from it on a new thread and leave a note that it's change has continued on the___new thread?  
---When one wants to bring up an old thread that seems unfinished, could they just quote its last post as a beginning of a new discussion? They could also post the name of the old thread so those with time to review the whole thing can do so.
I so value this community's insights, but I'm currently frustrated by the inaccessibility of some discussions that I know I've seen out there ---somewhere.

hey! I hope your ideas catch on Bets. you appear much more organized than the rest of us concerning an overview of the whole place.
well, it's hard for me to keep up with the new stuff, let alone the older stuff, which is there if we want. was typing in the search thing looking for a post of mine the other day about that Indian life...I couldn't find it. I found it on a blog though, I started saving my articles on desk top now.  I see you are still here, didn't u say you were going on vacation?
