Title: Law of attraction Post by DaBears on Mar 10th, 2007 at 6:37pm
I was just wondering since, the afterlife uses the law of attraction like attracts like.. Do people who are very self centered and violent go to dark gloomy places ??? Or do they just get stuck with cruel people like them.. From reading about Max's hell his place seemed pretty nice, but the people were cruel..
What is your guy's opinions?? |

Or is the Tibetan book of the dead right?? You go to horrendous hells for your misdeeds..
Also, you are met by wrathful demons that are only projections of your mind.. If, you don't realize that you go into the second bardo and so on.. Is that true?? |

Hi DB-
Matthew is the resident expert in Swedenborg, and could tell this better, but according to S, we tend to get shoved into the spirt afterlife reception region indiscriminately, after which we more or less look for people who are like us, so that we sort ourselves out. This is exactly the same thing that we see in the everyday world - people run in groups with generally similar characteristics. Those who actually get the message tend to be very hard on themselves, and they do conjur up terrors for themselves, but these are, as the Bardo Thodol tradition assures us, merely figments of our own minds. Ancient Egyp has a ritual that was called "justification". I don't know what it was (Budge didn't say much about it) but the idea can be used directly. When you sense yourself to be set upon by hordes of screaming demons, the simple solution is to affirm, "I have done no wrong." Perhaps this was the reason for the emphasis on passing through the Hall of Maati, and making a negative confession, "I have not done - - - ". Interestingly, psychonauts who investigate Diviner's Mint in an effort to see into the spirit world or other parallel worldlines to this universe frequently experience a similar sensation. They often feel as if they are being torn apart by pins and needles, rather as if parts of their existence are beiong shredded off. This is painful! The simple affirmation, "I have done no wrong. I do not deserve pain." if sincerely made, is generally all that it takes to bypass the pain. It seems that all we need to do is to learn our daily lessons and remain innocent in our minds, and all the problems vanish. dave |

In all fairness, Don is the resident expert in Swedenborg, Dave, although thanks to him, I have poured over ES' writings.
I think, it all depends how open your mind/thoughts are to the possibilities. Help, we hear is always there, if you are not too closed minded in your beliefs to see it, or ask for it. Howard Storm, in his NDE was beseiged in a hellish level until he asked for and received divine intervention. I just wonder sometimes what percent of our rational minds we bring with us when we cross over. If we bring everything with us, then things you learn here and now should help you in the next plane ES says that man, right after death is identical in mind to his life in the physical world. If we are dumb and confused, as we appear in dreams, it would make it a more difficult affair. Brendan (Chumley) voices worry about this, however there is no NDE consensus or accounting to support these fears. Most discarnate minds report a crystal clarity of thought and perception not usually found in the physical. M |

Wow, great information to take in for sure! I better start to learn how to control my thoughts and emotions... Also, I have kind of learned how to create my own dreams and control them.. Realise God is always forgiving, even to the worst sinner and we get placed in the hereafter in realms of like attract like.. So, I shouldn't deserve and pain or suffering.. Maybe just emotional suffering for a brief period, because I tend to be hard on myself..

Like you said, Like attracts like, therefore if an evil soul passes his energy vibration will match that of other evil souls. He will be naturally pulled to a hell like enviroment. I don't know if these souls can leave these areas or not. I personally feel that if you're a good person vibrating at a high frequency you won't even be able to go near a hellish enviroment and why would good soul even want to anyway
