Title: Is it a dream or an obe? Post by Kroan on Mar 10th, 2007 at 1:37am
Wow last night I had a first, I had slept from around 8pm to 2am and was up from 2-6am I went back to sleep at 6am and my alarm was set for 7am.... at some point after I fell asleep I dreamt that I was in a bed (not my bed) and had all the feelings of an obe, the high pitched sound, the flashing etc and wham I was out and i maintained control sorta... I felt like hmmm ok like I was moving prety fast and was controlling what i was doing but i didnt have full control, everything was so vivid like an obe would be and while I was doing this I was convinced I was having an obe, I felt that I was flying over a street full of cars and that i was flying next to a red truck, i controled myself and toldmyself i wanted to be inside the truck and I started to enter it by passing through the front windshield then all of a sudden the driver noticed me and started freaking out I think he slammed on his breaks which made me go somewhere else.... then I went into some kind of building now this part seemed more like a dream... in the building i saw a beautiful woman, I started kissing her and then another girl who I did know came up to me also, I gave her a kiss then I woke up.... wham After waking the experience felt like a lucid dream but I never had a lucid dream that I thought was an obe at first.... and the whole thing with the guy and the truck seemed more real then a dream.... I described this as best I could... has anyone ever had anything like this before

To my that sounds like a spontaneous oobe. There seems to be some overlap where they go lucid and to regular dreaming and back to lucid.
The "trick" is to know what is going on, then you can get more control. When I "wake up" and there is strange furniture in the room and strange people in the house, I know I am lucid dreaming. When I wake up with a sort of stange dull vibrating feeling & my head is without active thoughts I know I am ready for and oobe. If I don't want this I force myself back to sleep by concentrating on the feeling of sleep which seems to be down, down deeper inside my head. Lately I have not found oobe useful. Lucid is always entertaining, and it is here that I have met my dogs. My mother always came to me in what seemed to be regular, but very vivid dreams. |

im the opposite, I feel although lucid dreams can be fun and insightful I want to learn how to have full control over my obe's. I'd rather explore the astral, i mean the possiablities are endless.
