Title: Focus 27, and drinking, fornicating ect. Post by Chumley on Mar 6th, 2007 at 3:06am
Dude mentioned in a posting on my last thread, that you can have
ANYTHING you want in Focus 27. Well, here's a thought. I'm about to quit smoking for health reasons. I will always miss it though... and I'd have been way happier if the laws of nature were such, that smoking was as GOOD for you as mother's milk, rather than the perverse reality of such a fine pleasure being so destructive to your body. If I end up in Focus 27 (e.g., for some reason I can't currently fathom I choose immortality over oblivion) I FULLY intend to take up smoking again "over there", where presumably it won't be harmful to me. OR - is it only the "pure" and "holy" things which you can have "all of that you ever dreamed?" (You can have - or create - any reality you wish, as long as it is "Rotary Club-approved?" If so, FUHGEDDDABOUTIT!!!) B-man |

There would be realms where you are free to engage in whatever pleasures you like and as like attracts like be in the company of like minded souls. But you're not static and neither is the afterlife as some mistakenly believe, changing is always an option.
My suggestion Chumley to you as I've stated in the thread about 'We're all going to hell' is drop the whole obsession you have with 'literal christianity' (the need to constantly mention in every second post) and focus on self empowerment. You can't control the choices of others and as much as it irks us you can't stop George W. Bush from muttering his religious babble ::) If smoking makes you happy then its your choice you shouldn't change because someone else tells you to but if you see that a better choice would be to quit then do it for yourself. Its up to you in the end and it seems like you're doing a good thing by giving up smoking to improve your health and quite probably increase your life span. |

Seems to me that this would be kinda like having the unpteen dozen beautiful women that will descend upon you shortly after you push a stick of dynamite up your ascot, and blow your brains as you martyr yourself in a public place, killing and maiming all manner of whomever is on the hot seat for the day. But as we start to get involved with the beauties, they bring up ways in which we'd like to be able to really do things with them, and that leads to ways to get back where we would be doing it, and that leads to putting on a body and jumping down to earth - - - at which time you lose your memory of the whole thing, only realizing that your world has a lot of people in it who blow themselves up.
I suppose that it goes for cigarettes too- d |

Hi Chumley i wish you well in giving up,my mum has throat cancer which the doctors say that she should never smoke again because if she does the cancer would definetly come back after it is cured, which the doctors are very comfident that mums cancer will be cured,so my mum has definetly given up now.
But there is this man that goes through to the hospital with her in a hospital car and he has the same cancer as my mum but he has never smoked in his life,it is good to give it up but i think whether you smoke or not if you are going to get cancer you will get it even if your the healthiest person in the world.
