I must have slipped into somebody's nightmare for a change.  I do hope I performed an effective demonstration of intention.   :)

A man is bunkered up inside a snowy, winter cabin, fearing for his life.  He is totally defensive, doing all he can to prevent wild animals from breaking into his cabin.  One look at this place and I feel like I have been here before in some past event or dream.  Looking at one of the widows in the living area, I notice a foam matress partially blocking the open window to provide fresh air.  Taking a peek out the window (this feels familiar), I see a bear searching for a way to enter the cabin.  My logic about dreams takes effect and I realize that fears are not beaten until they are faced with curiousity;  Monsters can not actually hurt a person.  I do not know where the man went but I step out through the open window to see the man's monsters.

Two dogs come up to me and start begging for attention at me because of my fearlessness.  Both dogs seem to a black lab and are responsive to my past, possitive memory of dogs (We have a Border Collie Mcnab right now).  The two dogs are now one and it starts jumping up acting like it wants to play.  My fears are minimal and this is expressed by the dog pawing at my face. ;D  The troubled person is not in my perception leading me to wonder if he as actually me or I distracted him so that a retriever could "bring him back." Even though the man is gone, it still feels like a happy ending for me.  I will inquire as to who he was.

This has the feeling of retrieval because I have a strong sense of deja vu entering the cabin, and the man was in a life and death struggle loop; this was accoring to some rote I picked up.

Steve, this story spoke to me because my mother was a trapper's daughter in the Yukon and often told us stories about people trapped in remote cabins all winter and how wolves and wolverines would try (and sometimes succeed) to come down the chimney to get in to the people inside. Even sometimes with a fire in the stove, sometimes they would still try to get in. I guess they get really hungry in the winter up north, these animals. Anyway, as soon as I read it, I thought YES! something really familiar! There was an old guy they called Silver Fox who had snow white hair who lived in a remote cabin somewhere along their trapline and he died, but one winter, mom got lost with the dogsled in a storm and had to take refuge in that cabin...and Silver Fox was there to greet her and take care of her and the dogs overnight. She didn't know he had died, so when she told her folks Silver Fox had given herself and the dogs hospitality through the storm, she said their faces went white with shock. Maybe you were Silver Fox...!! Anyway, just had to share that with you. Thanks for that story, so full of imagery. Vanayssa

yes Steve it looks like a retrieval and also that you effectively cleared the cabin of lingering energy patterns..this like housecleaning on astral level.
housecleaning is a wonderful profession. I usually see retrievers as this, but could also be because I had my own business doing that. :)

I see the transmutation symbols in 1) you climb out fearlessly the window
2) the two dogs, perhaps former guardian dogs, are made friendly, and into one
3) you experience a happy feeling or a satisfied feeling.
since the cabin is cleared now, I'm projecting it's re-useable for another, either that or will be replaced or torn down in the astral. just a thought. been thinking about how we construct housing on the other side.
then since this is so familiar, this could be a genetic family member's former state of mind. at any rate, congrats, he can now go see whats around the corner!

I forgot to include details on the man.  Apperance is that of a hiker of woodsman with a beard and a husky form.  Face seemed to be caucasian in appearance and the hair was black and somewhat disorganized as if the man had better things to do than groom.

He even acknowledged my appearance in the cabin and I telepathically informed him that I would check the outside to see if things are safe.  Much of our communication was not in direct English rather it was a thought exchange.
