This retrieval was different for me in that
it happened directly after i asked for it early this morning,
the first part was set by Guidance or whatever directs these things, and in the second part I had to stay alert and figure my next moves.

Last night I woke up about 2 a m and thought that since I was awake anyway, I would ask for a retrieval.  Then I must have almost clicked out because the next thing I was conscious of was being taken down a long dark downward-sloping tunnel. Guidance or someone was talking to me and the part I was conscious of was that I was good for this one because i could stay calm. I considered getting uncalm about whatever it was that needed calmness  ;) ,   then thought I'd rely on their judgement. Very little light was down there but occasionally a few sparkles showed an arched ceiling. The tunnel was the longest I've been in and we seemed to have to walk, no hovering-floating. I decided to callout Hello! in a friendly tone but the guides told me to be quiet.  :-X
My sense of the guides dissappeared and I had to proceed. A sense of other energy in front of me stopped me but still I could see nothing. "Are you there?" I asked. Yes, the timid answer.
For some reason I immediately reached forward and took something, broke it by hand , then stepped on the pieces. "You won't need these anymore," I announced, while wonderring why did I do that? The pieces looked like glasses with extrawide square rims. "Here, let me lead you out to where they will heal you,' I said without knowing why.

Then unexpectedly my husband called me and I had to leave for about 45 minutes. I asked that I be taken back to the same place and set my intent to apologize for leaving, be more gentle and find out more.

When I got back I took the small hand that was offerred and asked his name, etc. He had been burned in a farming accident in 1937, had only a mother, had no concept of heaven, only of hard work.  I asked him what he wanted more than anything, thinking it would be his sight back. He said a dog. We walked and walked until finally I thought to offer him a sandwich, then we walked some more but a light glow was developing. When we got to the top a figure with a dog like he had described was coming toward us.

I thought, oh good, the Helpers are here, and started to turn so I could go to sleep. but they said 'You're not done yet." so I stayed with the boy Jimmie while he played with his dog, they bandaged him loosely and put him and his new dog in a station wagon. I never looked at his scars directly.

The places where my will was in accord with what they wanted and then sometimes wasn't --that perplexees me and makes it different from lucid. At the same time I was completely trusting that their will was in charge.   :-?

u said u were trusting..I think that's the key in doing retrievals, so congrats. you are where you're supposed to be. don't worry about small mistakes, like saying "hello" when you're supposed to be quiet. it happens, good to accept it the way you did and move on showing you're flexible.  I love the part about stepping on his glasses then mentioning he won't be needing them anymore; it's almost as good as telling him he's died to the physical.

I used to struggle and struggle with wanting to tell these others straight up they was wasted!  :P  I used to have guides sit on me to keep me quiet! :( (I exaggerate but I was kicked out of a retrieval once)

u just can't be gentle enough in these realms and you did good to take his hand and walk a ways and what genious to ask him what he wanted most of all!
of course! a dog!  I'd never have thought of that. must remember it just in case. it should work well on all children.

Good one! When I go into tunnels during a retrieval, there are obviously two types, the one is the "real" environment when the retrievee died, like a mine or so, the other is a symbol for the separation from others, the deep dark isolated state of mind some are in. Tunnels can be very long, so I often cut it short stating: "I want to go to the target now".

The dog is one of those unexpected things occuring in this business that assures us there actually is something happening beyond only our imagination isn't it?

Interesting is this order that you had to linger a little while before leaving. I wonder why- was it for you to learn something, or was it because the contact wasn't established then to full degree/safety for the helpers to move him to his future place?

Good question, spooky; I hadn't thought about it and still don't sense the answer. They were fully formed and visible, busy in the background arranging stuff in the car (carrier?). What they were doing didn't look that hard or important IMO, but who am I to say. (Aha, as I wrote 'didn't look that hard', my left arm got some numbness, like some circulation got cut off, so I added IMO and it eased. Some message must be in that, that preparations were necessary and I shouldn't demean it.  Thanks, spooky, for bringing that out.

IDCat, funny, I don't think of it that way but what you say relates to my husband's repeated comment when he sees me heading for the computer: "Going to check on your brood?" he asks, because he knows I worry about some of what happens here.  :-? Funny, I used to be a moody artist, and now I'm a broody web-ster? It's a journey in self-discovery too, isn't it?  ;)
