Title: Insane dream Post by OutOfBodyDude on Dec 17th, 2006 at 4:16pm
This was a very very very crazy dream.
The first thing I remember is this kid that I know had a knife. I was with my grandmother on her porch, and he tries to cut her and me. So I manage to take the knife away from him and threaten to hurt him if he ever does that again. I thought he learned his lesson, so I gave the knife back, but he came at me again with it. So I took it away and threw it. Then I threatened to beat him up, and he took out an even bigger knife. I managed to keep it down and put him up against a wall. Just then, about 30 black people surround us, with the intention of kicking this kids ass with me. I did not do anything though. The next thing I remember, I am taking some kind of hullusionogen...like mushrooms or acid. Things got very very strange. So strange I have trouble remembering exactly what happened. It was exactly like taking these drugs in real life... what I felt and saw were exactly the same as in real life. I think this somehow relates to my trip to the museum that I discussed in my gateway journal. The next thing I remember, Im with someone I dont know, but he is my friend. We are surfing, but I get very scared that there are sharks in the water. I see some things in the ocean below me, and decide to get out. In all of my dreams, there is a theme or something that I do not fully understand upon wakening, but it is somthing that I understand perfectly in my dreams. |

Dude, your dream is simple to understand. Your 'grandmother' in the dream is Alysia and the threat by someone you know is, in fact, myself whom you feel is menacing your feelings of security on this forum and you are intent on protecting your 'grandmother' and you are feeling strong hiding behind the support of 'grandmother's' other supporters. You are beginning to recognise that there are nasty emotional and social undercurrents while participating on this forum and you would like to escape from those pressures. It is an nice insecure infantile dream.

Title: Re: Insane dream Post by OutOfBodyDude on Dec 19th, 2006 at 2:12pm
That would possibly make sense... except for the fact that this dream occured the day before Alysia even started that topic. If you don't believe me, just check the dates for the posts.
I do not feel you are menacing my feelings of security on this forum. In fact, I do not have any hard feelings towards you at all. I may have felt that your previous post was innaproriate, but that does not mean I dislike you because I do not. We are all hear to learn and grow and share our experiences with those we feel comfortable sharing them with. People may not feel comfortable sharing certain things if they are going to be criticized or attacked, even in the most subtle ways. Now I just want to point out to you the way you word things may offend people. Lets take a look at your last statement, for example... an insecure infantile dream. Now if I was in fact insecure, I probably would have taken much offense to this statement. Im sure everyone with half a brain can understand that. And by saying infantile, someone who was insecure may have taken that as you calling them immature, which I am far from. Now whether or not you consiously are aware, you just called me insecure and immature in a very subtle way, yet it is still prevailant. I just want to show you how people can come across the things you are saying as possible personal attacks, so hopefully you can reevaluate your posts in the future and be more sensative. So in your future evaluations, lets keep everyones feelings in mind, and lets not jump to conclusions like you obviously did on this one. |

Interesting that you say the dream occurred the day prior to the events related. For some unknown reason dreams seem able to predict the future although mostly they are connected to current events or circumstance that are more pressing in one's life. It is easy to verbally deny sensitive feelings but you cannot hide them. Before criticising others look again at what you were saying about them. I described the content of the dream for what it was but I could always hide the truth and be patronising. You seem to be saying, tell me what I want to hear except the truth! Others, who understand dream content, may have some interesting interpretation to add which might provide you with what you would like to hear. Meantime, could you give me the lottery numbers for the next draw?

The fact is that you tried to make a connection to my dream based on the posts from yesterday. The fact is also that while your connection would make sense in a way, it is not valid because you were under the assumption that the dream occurred after the postings. You can try to warp your theory into being reality by saying it predicted the future if you like, that is fine you are entitled to your opinions. You are not the guru on dreams, and your frankness is quite egotistical. The fact is also that I have been spending a lot of time with my grandmother lately, which without a doubt is the reason for her appearing in my dream, in some way or another. I do not consider Alysia as a grandmother figure. She is on a spiritual quest, just as I am and most others on this board. The fact that you believe you have an undeniable knowledge about peoples feelings and thoughts is a little absurd, and quite egotistical. Maybe it is you who has some feelings to work out, but would rather focus on other people instead. I kno you like to spit out theories of other peoples emotions and issues, so theres one for you. ;D

Jennings, when I read your first post I thought you were attempting some form of curmudgeonly humor. It didn’t have any bearing on the dream itself. Now in your second post you’re maintaining that you described the content of the dream. It wasn't humor at all. Get real.

Dude, you know what is said about the best form of defence, so why are you squirming? You make a number of presumptions all of which are inaccurate. I doubt if I had made mention of being a Guru so what gives you the feeling that I am? Vanity, of course, could be due to the transference of one's own feelings or just simply envy. I had previously seen your posting and had suspected that it might have pre-dated the event mentioned but this would not alter its content.
Unforgetable American saying: "When you are up to you ass fighting crocodiles, you forget that your primary task was to drain the swamp"! Can we now return to 'draining the swamp' by leaving your feelings outside of the forum? Rob, rather than gratuitously providing the benefit of your professional opinion, why not try to remain on the thread by giving your account of Dude's dream? I seem to recall reading somewhere that that was part of the rules but, possibly, I may again be mistaken. |

Ok, lets take a look at my presumptions: Quote:
Are you going to deny the fact that you did not base your interpretation of my dream off the post? Of course you did. If it wasn't for me stating that I thought you were being rude in yesterdays posts, you would have given me a totally different interpretation, if one at all. And its alright if you forgot to look at the dates and drew the wrong conclusion. It happens, were all human. Quote:
I feel that you think you are a Guru because when I let you know that while your interpretation was sensable, nevermind the motives behind it, it just did not fall into place due to the fact that it occured days before the event of which you drew your conclusions from even took place. But you do not admit this, you instead make claims that my dream predicted the future. Basicaly you are afraid to admit you were wrong, so you instead try to throw in even more theories to make yourself sound correct. Your attitude and tone is that you are correct about everything you write, no ifs ands or buts. You therefore make it seem like you are the master of this and every topic you write of. Which is simply not true. Quote:
Like I said before, I do not have any hard feelings towards you. I realise that some people simply just do not understand how, or even why you should express things such as courtesy, kindness, sensativity, and humbleness. That is fine, not everyone is the same and some lessons have yet to be learned. You are now acting as if Im attacking you, when I am simply letting you know your evaluation was incorrect for a number of obvious reasons. It seems as if you do not want to admit this for one reason or another. Thats fine, everyones entitled to their own opinions. If you had some the same criticle values that most of us on this forum have(criticle to self-discovery, expressing love, and enlightenment) then you would allow yourself to let others have their own opinions too, but instead you force your theories on people, and when they dissagree you make a personal attack on them. For example... Quote:
I did not agree with your theory, so you tell me what I am being vain, I have poor inner feelings, and that i am envious of you. It seems as if you can not let someone have their own opinions, or at least do not allow anyone to question yours, because you know all the answers, right???It is obvious that you are on this forum for the wrong reasons. Everyone here is seeing this as you continue your subtle flaming. I know for a fact that i am not the only person here who believes you are giving off negative energy on this forum. So I suggest changing your attitude, or you may find yourself no longer allowed here. |

Hi OoBDude,
to me the first part is a very good description of what is all possible to happen. In the sense of a training, "remember this, that you be prepared about the possibilities". Also, to defend a family member is a very deep archaic and powerful human pattern. Maybe this dream is just telling you about this, making it conscious to you, so that you can deal with it on a conscious level. Further, it has something of a feedback spiral, you know this "that is a knife? Now, THAT is a knife" thing, as well as it is showing that from this can have unpredictable effects, a chain reaction (other people suddenly showing up and running their business then). The hallucinogen dream may be reflecting that it is possible at will, and/or with special means to reach different states of awareness, that are as real as the physical (if not "more real", if this makes sense). I'd like to point out here, that your practice with the HemiSync can induce very much stuff entering your mind, not all makes sense, but my experience is you are in a similar state like I was after TMI Gateway, that is, you are starting to get a new perspective on yourself and the world. That is powerful stuff, really. You thought there could be sharks and then left the water? So you were reasonable and took care of yourself. Spooky |

lol, I came to this thread and saw my name! :-X I don't have much to add here however. I enjoy doing dream interpretation, but soley of a positive direction. we have enough negativity in the world without adding to the problem.
perhaps you are worried about your grandmother these days Dude? She may need you on some level. as for me being your grandmother, well, I don't know, it is possible I suppose I am that OLD you know! in my heart I would love to become a grandmother but it hasn't happened yet. and thats an amazing dream. I definetely felt under attack on the thread I started about the obe where Bruce showed up and flamed by Jennings who may have only been trying to fit in by interpreting some of my post in a direction which I felt innappropriate. however, as long as I have been on this forum I notice many threads wander off into something which to me is quite innappropriate, which to the poster they think it is all functional to their purposes. if this happened too much, I would simply find another forum where my intentions for posting would be more in alignment with them and more readily understood without the flaming or whatever. its true, sometimes you just have to heave and leave. I realize my life has been that way as I do not believe in suffering unduly for the sake of others. life is too short to sacrifice oneself to petty concerns. I'm speaking personally, not to or about anyone. but yes, I do believe after reading ACIM, everything is perfectly clear. there are only two emotions. love or fear. when one comes from a fear position it can express as flaming or attack mode; theres an easy way to recognize if a person comes from fear or love. now I cannot lecture to you Dude, not in the least. I barely know you and am constantly impressed by something new you show about yourself. you articulate yourself so well with mere words as if you had read ACIM (A Course In Miracles) you speak with no judgment, you do not attack, you remain with balanced viewpoint and simply state what your truth is. I feel no negativity in your posts. I'm empathic, is why I can speak like this..I get body vibrations when something is true and a thud feeling in the solar area when something is false. of course some will say I'm full of crock, but thats my story and I'm sticking to it. insofar as your dream. I would say you over extend your trust. you threw the knife away and there was success. and you returned to trust which is your natural spiritual state. (in our home, the spiritual realms, people are more trusting of one another, maybe thats why they call it heaven.) you assumed that was that. I'd say the dream is saying to be more vigilant so that an even bigger knife does not appear and more skirmish than necessary. yet, its ok, people rush to your aide and the offender is subdued. getting out of the water is to remove yourself from a shark's feeding area. I would say water is emotional control perhaps. you don't need to put yourself into stormy waters unnecessarily. yet you did. <if> we were discussing how you jumped into the thread where I was trying to give away something precious to me, and instead got nibbled on, then you see, you came for the sake of love. and u did a fine job. suprised me actually. a lot of people I realized liked me! bless you all, people are important. Even those who are not in alignment with me are important. but I need to get stronger and take care of myself efficiently. I'm not getting older! I'm getting better! lol. so it was for my development. I wouldn't be surprised if I went out of body and told Mr Jennings here, ex member, hey, come on board and give me a hard time will ya? I need the practice speaking up for my self and my intentions on the board! go ahead! give me your best shot!! I feel really good about what happened in a way. I am not injured and its all behind me. far far worse things have occurred in my life. thank god for angels and messengers of light. I'd have been quite dead if not for the mysterious workings of the universe. I suspect Mr. Jennings, probably either is a psychologist, or wishes he had been one, may return to us, unable to find another board such as this one where the participants can speak their mind freely, in most cases without censor, but not always, I too have some sound good advice. when you feel it is necessary to point out the faults of others, it is equally wise to examine if that same fault you observe is so easily recognizable because you yourself are so intimate with that fault within your own self. while you may wish to expose this darkness which humanity to your perception is hiding, you might consider replacing the negative comment of "truth" with one of a positive nature so that the person will then tread down that road to which you point and be saved from their own failings. we can help each other, I swear this is true. we have the seeds of greatness within, one and all. ahh...I'm afraid I've gotten on a ramble here...I'm sorry. carry on mates, hoist the sails! we're in for some wind I hear! |
