Title: u never hear good media news
Post by laffingrain on Nov 27th, 2006 at 11:47pm
thats the collective, its all hype. why don't we hear about the good things that happen more? :-?

well, I have no idea frankly. :(  so I just want to drop in a please celebrate with me this day that my best friends husband stopped taking drugs and now their marriage is growing in love!!!
u have no idea how happy this makes me, although why should I ask anyone to care? it is always we hear the bad. how an addict overdosed. I wonder truly how many ever got clean? why wasn't it written up?
I hope things change so we know theres just as much good things happening out there as the so-called bad.
out of all the people in the world, I wanted my friend to have a drug free husband because she tried so hard to stick by him and not complain too much.
this is a happy day for me. right now, they are stringing their house with lights!

thanks for listening, I'm off topic again. love, alysia

Alysia, as you already know, thats just how it is down here. Where here to work through the lower energy's and your friend seems to be doing well as she's held on through a difficult time, sacrifice is part of the deal I'm afraid.

But on the post subject, there was a TV station many years ago now, called , Sunny TV. It was only for good news, all the story's where of a positive vibe. The people who started it where into spiritual things they wanted to produce something different and from talking to other like minded souls they believed, that this concept would work . That there would be an audience ready for such a station after listening to everyone complain how the world is so full of negativity and why cant we here something positive . They went to air , but only lasted one month, the feed back, was its to boring to here good news all the time.

Makes you wonder how deep our fear programing go's?

That's wonderful, Alysia!  I stopped watching the news..except for about 5 minutes in the morning while getting ready for work.  It helps to know which roads are blocked.

They talk of car accidents..but never the millions who reach their destinations unscathed.  The wreckless driver, but not the friendly one that lets you in.  The restaurant that got the lousy health dept score..but not the many who got a perfect score.

But..you spread a little happy news right here and for that, I thank you!

How about some more happy news?

We're having a hard time at work, being shorthanded.  We were feeling terrible, because we were ignored, while working extra..and this other group, who hardly ever steps the extra step was rewarded with brand new Red Wing Boots..

Then yesterday, we got an anonymous note from a 7 year old..thanking us for what we do..THAT beat boots any day!! :) :)

A Left Wing Political Theorist would say that bad news is reported all the time to keep the public in a state of fear and they are being conditioned to obey what the big corporations or government say. While I'm no expert on politics, I kind of understand this point of view. If we weren't being told bad news and the stuff that is wrong with us, like we don't have a good enough car or we need to lose weight or we need to wear fashionable clothes otherwise we are a 'loser' or a 'nerd' then we might be able to concentrate as a society on matters of greater spiritual importance, like working for peace and loving and appreciating life and other people, animals, nature etc not just worrying about whether we have the hottest sports car or the best clothes.

I think the reporting of bad news and the subliminal messages in advertising suit a purpose of keeping us in this cycle of spending money to make big companies rich. These are left wing views and not really what I come to this site to discuss, but I agree with this view and think it has spiritual relevance. Let's just all tell them 'we don't want just bad news all the time!' and also 'I may not be the most materially rich but I'm perfectly spiritually rich, I am special and I don't need your validation'. I wish I could just live by these mottos.

Thanks for the good news, alysia!
Here's some more good wishes
to send their way, and yours---  :) :-* ;)

Also a note:
a group in this area recently started 'The Pronaria News," their journalistic effort to combat the paranoia-inducing media. Only 2 issues so far, too early to tell if it's in for the long term. They write up examples of 'paying it forward,' biographies of people who do good for no reward, etc.
Also just ran into a group  on the web called the Pelorians who have decided to live as though life were all good. Well, on Mt Shasta, where they are located, that may be easier than in Peoria, for example, but they are making beautiful music up there and are working with a herd of deer on inter-species communication, etc.

The internet helps me overcome alot of negative daily news.
People share information and good will so freely, even beyond this wonderful site. You do. Many thanks for being part of the answer!

PUL, Bets

I don't watch ANY news at all. Why bring all that negativity into my life. I get enough news on ther internet and not by trying to get it, it just seems to come to me. The media is Cabal controlled and the name of the game is Rule By Fear. That is why it's so important to keep balanced at all times and to always remember that Love and fear cannot exist at the same time.

I hardly ever watch the news. What's puzzling is that some people watch it immediately after they get up in the morning, and right before they go to bed each night. Sometimes they'll ruin their dinner with it too.

I believe it's good to know what's going on in the World, but when the misery of others becomes a form of entertainment...

thanks for your responses..I didn't expect it :)  Albert, I think u hit the nail on the head for me.  you said when the misery of others becomes entertainment...theres a rote there for us.
this reminds me of the tabloids. folks, mainly the younger set I suppose follow famous peoples crashed marriages and relationships with gusto. as well they may be saying to themselves, "look, a beautiful famous person who also is rich, has succumbed like me, to failure of being happy and so they are successful in their lives, but not really, and so if they are doing boo boo's they are just like me. then they say, hmm, what are the juicy details? its all gossip. we'll never know for sure if the juicy details were made up but most likely they were made up to get someone to buy the paper.
would this kind of behavior be like sucking on this other's aura? haha! what a thought.
I have this theory we are all the same hungry people underneath our suits of flesh and all our successes and failures are just journeys to greater awareness. so when I hear the fire engine go by (which is soo frequent on my street!) I say to myself, hmm, there goes another rescuer to rescue the one in his dramatic movie of life.
I still have to cover my ears though. it hurts. love, alysia

Hi aylsia I dont watch the news or buy any newspaers either ,because you never able really to read anything good about someone,i found it depressing and  made my mind up not to watch it or buy it.

I cant understand human nature sometimes,i watched this programme yesterday, what we have in England called Points of Veiw. Its were people write in and complain about television programmes and certain people had written in complaining about this bear, who had walked up the hillside to die,and the reason they complained is because our BBC who televised it,put a trailer of another programme over this bear going up the hillside to die and they said it was not fair of our BBC to have done this,as they wanted to see the bear die.

I for one would no way have wanted to see this bear actually die,it would have reduced me to tears and i thought the way some people think, complaining because they cant actually see this bear die, what a world we live in.

Love and God bless you aylsia          Love Juditha

thank you Juditha, the story of the bear and the folks didn't get to see how it died just seems really funny to me, but shows our obsession with death I guess!
if more people start talking about death and dying it wouldn't be such a big mystery, so at least we talk about it here, right? and the work you are getting into to bring forth messages from the other side is really important in that light. thanks again for doing your part. love, alysia

Despite my interest in afterlife and spirituality I also have other sides of me and one of those includes newsreading. I am a 25 year old male who would like to break into the field of radio and I have been applying for radio positions down here in my home country of Australia. I realise when I read the news for radio that some of the impact of the negativity is lost slightly because there are no pictures, but still one thing frustrates me. Audio clips from people in politics. They often appear to sound angry and confrontational and after I've finished my shift I wonder to myself why everyone seems so angry in the news all the time.

I'm not which life path I am choosing or have chosen for myself. Because I've been getting very interested in my spiritual side and the afterlife over the past few years but professionally speaking, I am not like many of the people on this board. I have not yet really engaged in a spiritual community, this forum is my only real link to chatting about these topics with interesting and open minded people. My mother is always quite interested but aside from her people on this board are the only others i can communicate openly. I wish I was like others on this board who had wide contact in real life with a spiritual community. But you one thing, I am glad I did not choose to join my local Anglican Church instead of explore spirituality through a non religious guise. There's such a greater wealth of information of interest to me on this board then going to church. No offence if you a church goer but it doesn't work for me, even a spiritualist church which practices communication with the afterlife, I'm still not sure if that is for me.

IMPO, Alysia about what you said here....You just nail it on the head.

I would say Yes, but instead of other'..let say Global earth aura.
There're also fear base included in it.

Yes, your right they're not any or rarely good news lately...the one that really disturb me is the one they do in the name of GOD.

Here the lyric that you were asking for enjoy.: I love this album.

Artist/Band: Kristofferson Kris
Lyrics for Song: In The News
Lyrics for Album: This Old Road

Read about the sorry way he done somebody's daughter
Chained her to a heavy thing and threw her in the water
And she sank into the darkness with their baby son inside her
A little piece of truth and beauty died

Burning up the atmosphere and cutting down the trees
The billion dollar bombing of a nation on it's knees
Anyone not marching to their tune they call it treason
Everyone says God is on his side

See the lightning, hear the cries
Of the wounded in a world in Holy war
Mortal thunder from the skies
Killing everything they say they're fighting for

Broken babies, broken homes
Broken-hearted people dying everyday
How'd this happen, what went wrong
Don't blame God, I swear to God I heard him say

"Not in my name, not on my ground
I want nothing but the ending of the war
No more killing, or it's over
And the mystery won't matter anymore"

Broken dreamers, broken rules
Broken-hearted people just like me and you
We are children of the stars
Don't blame God, I swear to God he's crying too

With love, Romain

hello NSD, I've always found your posts interesting and I wish you well in your radio career. I appreciate how honest you are and its true you don't need to join a church if you don't feel its for you. just ask me, I never fit into a church as they didn't like my thoughts that we were all one big happy? family. I had me blinders on, its nobody's fault, but you must feel ok with your own choices..you don't want to just follow the crowd just to belong somewhere. its not worth it. I'm glad you feel free to express yourself here as it was always my vision that people could come to Bruce's board and hear what he had to say about getting your own experience and exploring the ideas that got started from TMI. its a movement no doubt and I'm eternally grateful I could relate to those ideas. everything they said, and Bruce came from there, it just fit in a logical sequence for me. its not too hard to see we are all trying to get ourselves in balance on this planet, say, the left to the right, the brain balance, the heart balance, its all about justice to me, justice is the symbol of the scales.

we're not all in balance, humanity appears to me to be at a point where we can balance the scales more easily with the shift energies coming in. we can find a way to cheer each other on if we just start looking for that.  so hang in, its never as bad as it looks on the outside.  thats why I love to go to sleep, the sun rises on a new day and we get another chance to do it up right.

theres a speed up in time happening, we have actually had time measured by some scientist who says we've lost some linear time, a few minutes or a few hours or even a whole day, according to the rotation of the Earth, whatever, I don't understand it but I feel the speedup...and it feels ok, I can flow with it I know because I'm not afraid of dying anymore, I look forward to it...its all just a movie to me anyway, if it were real, I'd want to die more swiftly and be done with it, but its not my home here, I'm just passing thru and so are all of you. thats why you have to keep centered, keep your balance, don't despair, we are at the forefront of the shift, if  you keep steady so others can lean on you too and gain that steadiness.
and those that are or will die enmass, its not like thats not part of their higher selves plans, so don't freak, death is not what you think it is. it is a part of life. it is a natural occurence for the soul to pass through.
and god is just watching. he gave man free will in the movie. god doesnt cry, we are the ones who do the crying, the judging, and the killing, because that where we are at. but we are the ones who can change things just by opening our hearts and letting the world as it is fade away like old film clips on the floor.

I'm excited to be in the shift in consciousness, I'm excited for people who are expressing themselves on the internet, just being yourself, not afraid to speak your mind, and most especially I'm happy I can say right out loud how much I love you people for expressing your hopes and dreams here and your love. alysia

Title: Re: Romain and I swapping songs
Post by laffingrain on Dec 1st, 2006 at 12:26am
Everybody, Romain and I swapped some music once. he sang me a song about "the news is out, all over town, you've been seen out running around.." :D  I always wondered if he meant me.. :-? but was glad to hear his voice and he plays guitar good.

so heres Dylans verses "with God on Our Side" and you can see the similarities that these two artists, Kristofferson and Dylan share.

Oh the first world war boys, it came and it went, the reason for fighting I never did get, but I learned to accept it, accept it with pride for u don't count the dead with god on your side.   when the 2nd WW came to an end, we forgave the germans and we were friends, though they murdered 6 million, in the ovens they fried, the germans now too have god on their side.   and now we have weapons of the chemical dust, if fire them we're forced to, then fire them we must, one push of the button, and a shot the world wide and u never ask questions, with god on your side.

its many a dark hour I've been thinking about this, that Jesus Christ was betrayed by a kiss, but I can't think for you, you'll have to decide whether Judas Iscariot had god on his side.  so now I'm leaving I'm weary as hell, the confusion I'm feelin aint no tongue can tell, the words fill my head, and fall to the floor, if gods on our side, he'll stop the next war.

Thanks alysia  :)

You know the funny thing is I feel comfortable expressing myself on these boards but if I talk about the same kind of things around the circles in society that I mix with or on other forums, I tend to be met with scepticism, sometimes hostile. Or other times I'm just given blank looks or people have stereotypical viewpoints. For example, if I talk about a psychic some people still get the image of an old gypsy lady with a crystal ball. Its nice to be able to talk to such interesting good natured people who are all about sharing knowledge and experiences. Its pretty rare elsewhere in my life I have to admit. :o

Never say die, Welcome. even if i'm late in saying it.
You'll find that we are quite open on this board, most of us are IMPO anyway. ::)
Don't be shy and share what you think, and if you do get out of line..lol..there're will be someone that will put you back on track, gess that what peer moderators do  8-)
I understand quite well what your saying about being unable to share with others but no one in the immdiate area, i'm the same way where i live, beside 1 person.. that all, and she a blessing to me.
So being able to come here and vent sometimes, so to speak is a great release and there're a lot of good ears here. Just be yourself and speak from your heart, and everything will be fine.

With love,
Romain

hi NSD, I understand what you're saying. I'd like to start a new thread based on what you're saying so probably will do that. and just wanted to welcome you here again as I think each of us have something to say if we only get the chance before being shut down by misperception and stereotype belief systems expressing, like u said the gypsy with the crystal ball getting a bad rap. seems like anybody with a little psychic ability will get slam dunked anyway by society as it can be threatening to society when they wonder how you knew something about them that was in their unconscious mind, so they think that these are powers they don't have, when thats the wrong way to think about it; not every phychic is out to do you in...lol...but see, we don't practice trust in our society because somehow we don't have anything to trust as we used to trust god but even thats gone, except for those who practice a religion will think on these things more than the average bloke.
but telepathy, intuition is inside all of us, just laying there, sometimes untapped, sometimes tapped too much. this board was started by Rosalie, an author, and Bruce Moen, an author and I hope you can read their books, great books, enjoyed them ever so much, a true gift and glimpse at the new human coming into being in the future on a greater scale..I call it the shift in consciousness. don't be fooled by words and interpretations though, its the intention behind the books and the teachings that you can pick up on that is important.
so what you are seeing here where you can be accepted is Bruce's vision coming true and the rest of us just work here. Pretty darn neat huh? :)  well, out there where you can't really express yourself just means you "think" you can't. spirit will guide you to the right people who will open up your gifts.
don't give up, sometimes we entertain angels and they look like bag ladies...I see this all the time! love, alysia

I remember Rosalie when she used to post here, wonder where she is now?
Or are we talking about Rosie McKnight? Same or two different person?

Anyhow what were the books Rosalie wrote? Anyone know or remember?
Thanks

Mair, is Rosie McKnight and Rosalie the same person? and her book is Cosmic something, I read it and liked it a lot. the person I'm thinking of participated in partnered explorations with Bruce and built this website. I posted to her only once years ago to mention my name was supposed to be Rosalee when I was born. I was off topic of course! ::)

Meeting her in person at Guideline, which she normally is a regular speaker is something, she such a wonderful person.
So the other Rosalie??? Don't know, maybe someone can point us in the right directions.. ;)

Oh ....now i remember some gossip from way back...hope we are not going to go there..humm..sorry.
Anyhow if she did wrote books, i would like to know what are the titles..that 's all. Mair i know you know.. :-*

Greetings,

Alysia really knows how to put an idea into the ether and have it materialize! ---

A new magazine called GOOD is out. It's more about society than about consciousness, but its values are much like those of this community's, I think. It's so new it's not on google today, and I've lent out my copy so don't know its website name, sorry.  Handsome layout and graphics, very values-based content.

This is a heads up so you can watch for it.  :D
