Does anyone know if TMI gives a tour or anything like that? I mean, even if you are not signed up for a program but would like to visit and see what's what. Just curious.

I've been there in my imagination many times! I wouldn't be surprised if they called me the ghost of TMI, ha ha.
One day...one day... :) |

I don't think there are any tours as no one can visit when a program is going on. It would be too disruptive. No one can leave during a program so it does no good to have a car there except for when the program is over. You could write to them and see if they have like an Open House for visitors.

Thanks Mair, that's what I meant... if they ever had down time in their schedule for that sort of thing.
One day I'll get there and be able to do a program, can't wait for that. :-* |
Title: Re: The Monroe Institute Post by Marilyn Maitreya on Nov 24th, 2006 at 1:55pm
You will make it to TMI and you'll never regret it. My whole life changed because of Bruce and TMI. Guidance led me to Bruce's books and reading them led me to TMI.
Love, Mairlyn ;-) |

I have decided to definitely go to TMI and have booked for May 2007. I'll be doing Gateway and Lifeline back to back (cos I come from so far away!). I am sooo excited about this - its a dream come true. Love Irene |

Hi Vicky..I don't think they give tours as such. What it is ...is 2 Beautiful houses, the regular house or main house where the program are given and the Nancy/Robert house where most of the Guidance programs are given..and a few others also, the building next to the main one is the office and Skip lab i think if my memory serve me right..:) I could send you pictures if you like of both places, let me know. With love, Romain |

You will enjoy the Monroe Institute. They will bring in "guest" to speak. That was a treat. Laurie Monore is suffering with lung cancer and has started chemo-therapy. I have attended a weekend retreat with Laurie Monroe and Darleen Miller. It was high energy and very fast all weekend. The weekend was in Connecticut at a rehab center for wheel chair and handicapped persons that was a "summer camp." We went in January (if I recall) and had a terrible blizzard the day we all arrived. I think we were about 26 people and had to lay on the floor and listen to the tapes via a "snake like" web of wires and headsets. I was the only one to bring a lounge chair so I could be in an inclined position.
I finally made it to a week in Virginia last March. The main house where everyone stays has two floors. If you are handicapped, you can request the basement floor and use the handicapped doors. No stairs that way. I have a very short CD with the center on it and lots of pictures, also. Go online and ask the center to send you the CD entitled: Welcome to the Monroe Institute. The bed you sleep in is also your CHEC unit where you plug in your head set and listen to the CD's. Then you will be called to go back to the "White Room" where everyone usually sits on the floor (a couch is provided) and discuss your progress. Meals on on the same floor, through the kitchen to a dining room. Lots and Lots of woods all around, and a second building where the office staff is and a huge conference room. Someone from the Institute will be at the airport if you fly in and will bring you back when the week is finished. Have a wonder experience!! Love and Light ---Carol Ann |

Thanks to everyone who responded, here and through email, I did get my tour! Romain sent me like a cajillion pictures, and the place is just lovely. I can feel the energy of it all just through the photos. Thanks for the stories of what to expect from the schedule and such.
Carol Ann, is there a different guest speaker every time? |
Title: Re: The Monroe Institute Post by Romain on Nov 30th, 2006 at 10:52pm
LOL....yes my dear Vicky..you did ask for pictures, like they say..ask and you shall recieve..lol
There was only 36 pictures i think, not so much, but it did gave you a good visual of the place. One of my favorite is the entrance, with the OBE stain glass hanging from the ceiling. would love to have one of those in my place. PS. when i was there for Gateway the speaker was Joe Monegal (spelling) and skip came a few times. For Guideline at RAM & Nancy home it was our dear friend Rosie McKnight one of the early traveler, what a beautiful person!! And Joe came too a second time. With love, Romain |

Thanks Romain and Cat
Hearing your experiences is just wonderful and makes me very happy that I've decided to go. Romain - I intend arriving a couple of days earlier too - its about a 25 hour flight over so will need to catch up on sleep. I think the time difference right now - with daylight saving for us here in Australia - is 16 hours. I will then spend a few more days at a B&B after Lifeline to "come down to earth"! With love Irene |
Title: Re: The Monroe Institute Post by Romain on Dec 1st, 2006 at 12:35pm
Irene, nice to hear that you'll be there a few day before and after.
I did the same thing when i went there, 1 day early for getting used to time change and jet lag and it was a blessing. I remember after Gateway when we left the ground one of the participant ask a few of us if we wanted to go into a mall and see/feel what's around ...just for an experience..and wow as soon as we arrived at that mall, i was so eadgy/thingling with energy, i felt like and electric rod, feelling all energies around me and seeing energy around people, was a bit too much, felt like i was out of this world, had to stop at a stuff pet store and bought myself a little white dog..lol...had to hang on to him for the hour that we were in that mall, for comfort i guess, i was shaking. We had to leave after that cause num of us could take it anymore, energy was to intense, so just went to our hotel room and crash.. ;D You will enjoy the program Irene. And let us know how it went. With love, Romain |
Title: Re: The Monroe Institute Post by Vicky on Dec 1st, 2006 at 12:41pm
Romain, you are the dear one, with such a kind and gentle soul. I did love getting all those pictures, all 127 to be exact. ;)
PS--you sent me one night shot of the crystal and it appears to have a very nice big orb in it. I don't know if it is a true orb or just a trick of the digital camera. |
Title: Re: The Monroe Institute Post by Vicky on Dec 1st, 2006 at 12:46pm
Romain, regarding your post about the mall, that is why I can't stand going to malls on any normal day! I don't experience it as intensely as you just described, but I avoid the mall just for that reason...I pick up too much energy from people and it's too much of a mix that I can't stand it. I can imagine after doing Gateway you must have been really really open to "receiving".
|
Title: Re: The Monroe Institute Post by laffingrain on Dec 1st, 2006 at 3:49pm
its true about the mall experiences. glad to hear this happens to others! we absorb energy fields but most of us unaware of this. as your perceptions open up and u begin to absorb more positive energies, such as we might call it the light, you will find people standing next to you and you look at them and wonder why they are standing so close when they could just as well stand "over there". :) so you tune into them and ask why. this is all a little unconscious for both people until you learn how. usually they will say something from their spirit like "I don't know why. it just feels good to stand next to you." :) well, thanks for the compliment I'd say or just silently bless them in their journey and go on about my business.
not that this happens to me all the time. but I admit more and more. sorry talking too much about me. let me get back on topic. Irene, when you are traveling, you may begin to get some very intense dreams because your awareness has expanded so much from everything being "new". thats what happened to me and I read when others travel some extraordinary dream adventures happen, and these tend to be very instructional! so excited for you sister, and please share with us when u get back! love, alysia |
Title: Re: The Monroe Institute Post by Romain on Dec 1st, 2006 at 5:22pm
Nice to know that i'm not the only one picking up energies from others in mall, true Vicky sometimes if just too much. Receiving was the word i was looking for when i was typing the post, but did not quite came up the way i wanted to say..lol...Thank you, you've read in between the line...way to go Vicky.
Alysia, now that you mention it, it also happened to myself a few, quite a few times about people just standing beside me for no other reasons that just standing and sometimes i feel awkward about it too, go stand somewhere else..lol PS: Before i forget, yes Vicky it's an ORB, a real one..lol..witness by 10 peoples at least while we were there, and no; not just from my camera, we all had the orb in different angles that we took the pictures...:) 127 OH my god..must be trigger happy. With love to you both and all here. Romain |
Title: Re: The Monroe Institute Post by Vicky on Dec 1st, 2006 at 7:14pm
Glad I hit the nail on the head with the word "receiving". You made it very clear what you meant by the way.
Yes, 127, I counted! But mind you, many of them were duplicates. After all, you sent me 13 emails that day so how could you have known how many pictures you were sending. ;) I like your thoroughness. Bless you...I did enjoy seeing them very much. On my computer I made a The Monroe Institute photo folder. I knew it was an orb! It stood out, you couldn't miss it. So are you saying that you and the others saw it with the naked eye?? Or just through photos? Anyway, that's impressive. I know a little about crystals, how they are the only substance that can absorb, reflect, and refract light, so I imagine that means energy too. Must be lots of energy around that place! By the way, I went through all the old pages of the Afterlife Knowledge Forum and found an old thread you had made from when you got back from TMI initially. So I read through to hear your experiences. It's on page 73 of this main forum if anyone is interested. Love, Vicky |
Title: Re: The Monroe Institute Post by laffingrain on Dec 1st, 2006 at 7:33pm
Vicki could you send me the photo of the crystal with the orb? and maybe just a few of TMI? I'd like to make a link to it and put it up in the partnered exploration thread for interest. I want to go read Romain again, so thanks for that! love, alysia

Afterlife/ The Monroe Institute Thanks for explaining why malls make me feel so uncomfortable. Never thought about why I just knew I didn’t like them. I was at a dinner last night and asked the five other people how they felt about malls: 2 said they were uncomfortable and agreed about picking up too much energy from the others; 1 didn’t know; and the other 2 loved shopping and didn’t understand what I was talking about. Next time I go to the mall (unfortunately it will probably be this month) I’m going to pay more attention to what I’m sensing (versus just trying to block the experience out). Alysia – were you going to post a link to the picture with the orb? I’d love to see it. Thanks. Best of everything - Rob |
Title: Re: The Monroe Institute Post by laffingrain on Dec 3rd, 2006 at 4:45pm
sure rob, I'll get right on it, we do have a crystal pic in the partnered exploration thread, but this one has the orb. I'll also post up for your viewing pleasure an orb sitting on my posterior...just before we snapped the photo I was talking to spirit helpers in the room that I wished them to pose for me above my head. and so then I was hurrying to get myself in position and just at that moment my daughter snapped the orb on my butt, and I laffed because I knew this was my spirit guides being funny. I do have funny guides, always joking around you know. :) apparently, we retain our sense of humor on the other side!
one other word: my nanny was my mothers nonphysical helper. she posed as an orb above my mothers head whenever I asked her to. thats why I thought I could manipulate my pals, but didn't happen. oh well! |
Title: Re: The Monroe Institute Post by Romain on Dec 3rd, 2006 at 11:50pm
Nice butt Alysia.. ;D
And as you can see on the picture of the ORB, right corner top, It' in front of the tree, not behind, so not the moon..LOL Enjoy and do post it on PE, that's will be a good visual point for everyone. This crystal is in Robert/Nancy back garden not at the Institute main building, that one is (Nene) She the second forgot the name now..oh well. Take care, Romain |

Title: Re: The Monroe Institute Post by Rob Calkins on Dec 6th, 2006 at 12:07pm
Thanks Alysia for the pictures (and you Romain as well). Your posterior (Alysia’s not Romain’s) picture made me laugh. It’s wonderful that your helpers have humor. I guess humor touches on love (at least much of the time) so that would make sense. The crystal picture that Romain sent is great. I’ll go look at the partnered exploration picture as well. - Rob

Vicky--- when you attend the different programs, then you meet different speakers. As for Gateway, just the one;s I mentioned and a wonderful tape with Rosie McKnight.
This past weekend I attended a seminar with writer and innovative speaker Caroline Myss in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. It was well worth the 3 hour drive. I stayed Friday (Caroline spoke Friday night, tiwce Saturday and once Sunday) to Sunday at noon. I am looking forward to her new book "Entering the Castle". Caroline also attended The Monroe Institute. |

just because a person is spiritually inclined doesn't mean they wouldn't want to stay here and overcome the challenges the body presents to us in that respect, for our spriritual soveriegnity. its both marvelous to possess one's health or to live without a physical body. makes no difference which side of the veil you are existent in, the becoming, the overcoming would be the same task. to own your illness, to own your health is a choice and we do not embrace that knowledge as yet. love, alysia

Very well put, Alysia. When my dad's cancer spread from his bowel to his liver, The doctors only gave him two weeks to live. He opted to go home to die. Four years later, and after taking only Tylenol with codine for pain, in May of 1992 he decided to go the way of hospice. He disliked the morphine drip which made him "see things", but there were times he wished he could have more to control his pain. We had a wonderful last week together, as I stayed that last week at night to help my Mom. He told me about angels who came to get him and a train that would take him "home". He passed away 2 weeks after my grandson was born, the July. We all make choices---- here and THERE. I keep in touch with my dad, but never question his choice. Love Carol Ann
