Any experiences through meditation, OBE or other means that expound on Bruce Moen's string of beads imagery found in "Return to Curiosity's Father," relating to linear events in time?  Any further information regarding this from Mr. Moen?
Any comments regarding the manipulation of such events through requests or other means?

There definitely will be people here who can give more examples, but I seem to recall (?) that Bruce's writing was more to give us an awareness, rather than a how-to, that our wishes to change our situation each made a 'string' of changes necesary in the spiritual AL workings. To me the string of beads related to going along with the flow (Tao) because events have been set in place for our best outcome.

Elsewhere Bruce has written about setting your intent to do something:
Setting your intent to make a change is the same as setting your intent to go OB or to go on a retrieval: in a relaxed
state of mind, mentally clearly state to your Highest Self that you will ....   or that ....will happen. Put no negative emotion to it like demanding, whining, etc., just as direct and complete as possible. To keep alot of beads from clattering about, you  add the phrase "... to the extent that no one is hurt by my changes."  Voila!  

(My examples tend to be negative, and I apologize, but only recently has my life turned around.) I think I've seen it work short term when I intently wished for something/ some situation, then got it, and then the better opportunity floated by, unused. Or I find that my insistence on getting what I wanted hurt someone else whose string of beads/events in time was broken by my insistence.  For a small example, I once talked a lady into selling me a collie puppy, even tho she said the puppy had bonded with a little girl in the neighborhood whose family was trying to get the money together to buy the pup. All that dog's life it looked for that little girl, whining and pulling on the leash to go to any little girl it met.
Not that all changes have to come out badly! :)

thanks Bets, I'm getting a feel for the string analogy. as relates in my dreaming true incidents, the string of events, intentions, desires, specifically how to become in charge of my reality creating, through these dreaming true incidents was like a necklace of events connecting past, present and future together, even confusing to understand that first the dream reality, next came the physical manifestation of the dream images/drama.  still working on acceptance that I do become creator of my reality actually "ahead of time." tends to relax one a bit insofar as the light body goes, but the C1 person, her head needs to relax as well, the intellect and belief systems which will tend to produce limitations on our creativeness. so agreed, when utilizing creative stuff, setting intentions, will work harmoniously to qualify "this deed be done in the highest interest of all". then desire has to be released, which means I must cease being impatient, which is the hard part. ::)

even the past lives given become influential in the present life, as linear time is a fallacy. those life/lives are available to visit its time dimension/personality. we accept then we are all One experiencing separation, the great allusion which the healing of the separation is to recognize the connectiveness of all life animated life beings, the animal kingdom, the inanimated objects are also us, as we placed objects here as One entity in a plan to become separated to build our experiences of this.

was just thinking how much I enjoyed the horse whisperer movie; Redford retrieved the soul of the horse through whispering to it that it could trust him despite the memory of abuse it had suffered. life is like that for humans also. we must learn to trust ourselves through the string of beads and connectiveness, for we will not go home without each other.

well, hmm. next??  I think this way as ACIM tells me we are love at our basis. and love is a healing thing. so now I like to view other pathways of the intellect however, I still view all as love is our basis because I was trained through an affirmation; "when you want to see only love, love is all that you will see."  and we create our reality by what we want to see as that become like an intention. intention, affirmation is working with creating reality. each one though, creates their own reality. someday we will tip the scales for world peace one by one.
we will see this, I know.
