Great photo Cathy. I don't know if I'd be brave enough to hold a croc even with it's mouth taped shut. LOL

Love ya, Mairlyn

hi everyone
so nice to hear from you all!
actually the little croc was not slippery, just like a big lizard. I was surprised that I even wanted to hold him but he was rather cute!
my biggest surprise was to pat a snake! he was warm and soft much to my surprise!
also got kissed by a dingo lol!
We had a balcony room overlooking the beach and saw whales swimming past our bedroom window.
dosn't get much better!
have missed you all though
love cathy xxx

Hi Cathy!
You're up pretty late/ early! (Depending on which coast you're on.) See you here now 1:15 am board time.
We used to have a chat room but even when we were on the board at the same time, just like now, we couldn't just sit and wait for others in the chat room---too many fascinating topics to read!
Have a great week.  Hope it's not too hard to adjust to after such a wonderful vacation!
Love, Betsi

Hi Cathy and all,
I never held a crocodile, but, when I was young, I touched the first time a toad, and as Alysia, I expected it's slippery/slimy, but it wasn't at all, it was quite the opposite, hard, rough, a dry feeling (it was a toad living most of it's time on land, it just stays near water). (But slugs ARE slimy haha aren't they). Hope you don't mind sharing my animal kingdom experiences...

Cathy, I think the little fella is pretty cute, but I'm glad his mouth is taped shut.  I can't imagine how many teeth he's got, how sharp they are, and how fast he could munch your hand!

Spooky, I love all animals and bugs, (not spiders though), and slugs are one of my favorites!  At our last house I had a pretty garden and the kids and I would lift rocks to find slugs.  I taught the kids how to treat them carefully and respect them.

Hi Vicky,

you mean like this fellow here:

There's brown and black variants, 30 years ago the garden of my parents was full of them, now they are not as many as then, but more snails (that's the name for those with houses right?) now.

Spooky

YES!  Isn't he cute???  I like his color, usually I only see black ones.

I really do love bugs, I know that might sound weird but I LOVE bugs.  They are wonderful.

Thanks for the picture.

:P ::) :o
In North Carolina they're grey with black spots.
Well, at least in your latitude, spooky, they got some little shells/houses to cover themselves. Darwin says snails and slugs are two species but I prefer to think that Mother Nature kindly steps in and gives the 'nekkid ones' shelter.
I think I prefer Cathy's whales, crocks, and lamb roast!
Luv,
Betson/Betsi
