Title: Viewing belief system from higher self perspective Post by recoverer on Oct 25th, 2006 at 1:41pm
This morning I asked my higher self a question. I waited for a symbolic visual image. I didn't get an answer. I became frustrated. I decided to try to figure out the answer myself. As soon as I did so my awareness expanded and I tuned into a state that included love. I saw that a belief system that was troubling me was completely separate from who I really am. I allow it to become a part of me only when I believe that the belief system is necessary in order to figure things out. When I do so I create a completely new chain of thought that grabs hold of the unwanted belief system.
From the perspective of my higher self the belief system is 100%/completely unnecessary. From the perspective of my higher self I can figure things out quite fine without this belief system's help. The belief system only gets in the way. I also saw that it is a mistake to believe that the memories this belief system makes use of belong to the belief system. The memories this belief system makes use of are completely available to my higher self without the unwanted belief system being brought into the picture. |

Hi Recoverer
Interesting to think about belief systems, doing the thinking from the outside, so to speak. I imagine we all have alot of sub-systems that are totally unnecesary from the standpoint of the soul. I guess we just learn what we can from being in those systems. I'm reading the Abraham-Hicks book now and I am struck by some of what they say about, for instance, if you feel angry, don't worry what others think about it because others don't know what is right for you inside. In their system, anger can be a step closer to Source than some other feelings, so being angry might be a step up for someone. Interesting, huh. So at the time you adopted the unneccesary system, maybe it was a step closer to Source for you. Obviously you don't need it any more! |

I agree that in a way, we have no choice but to get stuck in belief systems for a while.
Sometimes it is hard to know if something fits, if we don't try it on first. Eventually we learn it is best to run around naked and go streaking throught the stars. :D Lucy wrote on Oct 25th, 2006 at 2:10pm:
