he died nine months ago and it happened on that same night ( he died in the morning ) and a few days ago. the first time it felt as if he was standing on top of me whilst I was lying in bed and pinning me down like as if he had his paws on my shoulders. the other night he appeared in the blackness and I'm not sure whether my eyes were closed or open. I could see the outline of his form and the space he occupied had a different consistency to the surrounding space....a different fluid type of blackness unlike anything I've encountered before. I've never had any psychic experiences before this happened, I'm now 44. the trouble is that I feel upset after this happens, like as if he's trying to make his presence felt and that I'm ignoring him simply because I'm too stunned to know what to do when this happens. anyone else had this experience with animals, any advice would be useful on what I can do if this happens again which I hope it does.

I am sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved pet! It is very touching that your dog has made contact with you. I guess you were probably caught off gaurd but he/she will probably visit you again. I feel that it's not so important what you say or do, just enjoy your loved ones presence and send them positive loving vibes. You should try asking your spirit dog for a sign and see if he comes again. Once again I am sorry about your temporary loss.

When I was a kid (eleven or so?) our old dog showed up one night, a few months after he died.  He wasn't there long, I think he just came by because it was a familiar place and familiar people, he didn't seem to have any "agenda".  He was there for a few heartbeats, then gone.  Lost me a game of "Bloody Murder"... ;D

Evolver, tell your dog that you're happy he's visiting you and that you will always love him no matter where he is and that you are waiting for his next contact. It's wonderful when our beloved pets visit us from spirit side.
