Title: Only The Shadow knows--- Ha hah haww! Post by betson on Oct 22nd, 2006 at 5:23pm
Greetings, :) ;) :)
Researchers in England and the US have reportedly collaborated to create an invisibility shield that deflects light, even microwaves, so fully that only a shadow remains, and I think the shadow is somewhat distorted and placed aside from the original. Tests show they prooved it with a copper canister but claim they can do much more. Since copper is so sensitive to electricity and so are our bodies, I wonder what you think of having these invisibility shields around? Do you think that without physical mass to hold us together, like when we are OOB, we might be affected by an invisibility shield? :-? I don't want to get paranoid on this but I live not far from where they've been working on it. In the past I've had some unpleasant experiences just by meditating or praying too near our computer screen and I want to avoid any such strange feelings/burning sensations again. :-/ Bets |

Hi Bets,
I don't know how this stealth works, but it's a conventional technical thing (I suppose) and therefore not more harmful than any other technical thing. I don't think this shield produces very high intense electromagnetic radiation, so as long as it's not in your house, you have nothing to be afraid of, regarding radiation. Spooky |

Hi Bets-
I Googled up "invisibility, copper" and got a long list of sites with pretty good descriptions about thisd kind of thing. (The BBC site was good and had photos.) The basic idea is to build structures to guide electical waves (or light) around an object so that it isn't reflected, nor does it leave a blocked out shadow region. (Darkness is defeated by light!) The actual technology involves comparatively large resonant structures. A number of places are working on materials with a "negative refractive index" and this seems to be the immediate applications. Regardless of the actual methods being used, the situation is actually not much different from putting a bunch of lenses and mirrors around something so that the path of light is bounced around it. The technique is passive - uses no power of its own. It can't affect anything except light that arrives at the proper angle, and that simply gets bounced around a bit. There is nothing here that even cares about your body mass, whether great or small, nor even is able to respond to it providing that you don't give the apparatus a swift kick in the electrons. The CRT of your computer is different. It uses a beam of electrons moving at close to the speed of light. These are sent forward to pound on little phosphors tht glow when stimulated. Then there's a thick layer of heavily leaded glass to absorb the soft x-rays that this produces. So long as the voltages are kept in the proper range and you aren't right on top of the screen it shouldn't bother you. Of course that involves assumptions, such as that the authorities are doing their part to monitor the producers, but there should be no problem in general anyhow. It's all different when we go OOB. I keep getting tangled in power lines. That seems to be a common experience, and it may explain why psychic phenomena are often associated with electrical disturbances. Maybe your experiences have something to do with others who wish to contact you - and who are doing it not very nicely. dave |

Thank you, Gentlemen!
I knew I didn't have it figured out, but it still bothered me. Your explanations are very helpful. :) bets |
