Assuming that some of those who crossed over have returned multiple times, its hard to say how many are there at any given time.

George--- The Jehovah witnesses have a particular count of how many souls there are in the spirit world.  Bob Monroe also mentioned a count in one of his three books ( I gave the books to someone to read, and she has kept them.  I can't remember which book it was in.) Supposidly, there are only a handful of "gardeners of the planets" who created each their own reality with beings of their choice.  When we pass over, we go back to our creator and they in turn go back the their creator.  At least, that is my understanding from all the 200 plus books that I have read on the subject over the years.  When we pass over/ make our transition, we will then know ALL.  ---cat

Hi All...According to HP Blavatsky, this present root race round(I this it is the 5th) 60 billion
souls/spirits are doing the Earth/Spirit world(all levels, Astral, mental worlds main and sub-planes, all F-levels) reincarnation cycle. Earth humans of all races, color, etc. I mean.

In my Astral travels I've been to places where I've seen row after row high-rise apartment
buildings that seem to go on for miles. They were very modern in appearence. Also huge cities. Tightly packed houses of all different designs, small and large blocks of apartments
grouped closely together on green hill slopes that went down to an inland harbour and bay.
There were also homes/mansions that were built almost on the water's edge. Seen roads,
parks, some type of shops? very few of these. Have been to places that have beaches
bordering on an ocean or sea. Never see a lot of people, only a few scattered here and
there in groups or singles. Considering the huge amount of dwelling's this is strange?!
Atmosphere is usually bright with blue skies, comfortably warm,  and a personal feeling
of excitement, personal wonderment like a tourist, and no fear or negative thoughts.
When awake and back into my physical body, it is usually huge smiles and a deep wish to
return back for further exploration...Regards. Gman.

Hi Gman

It is great to see you write of Helen Blavatsky and her Root Race philosophy linked with the Ceremonial Order of the Planet Rays.  A complex cosmology developed together with Rudolf Steiner and Alice Bailey under the name of esoteric astrology and intuitional astrology.  (work i am very interested in)

You are correct to call this present time the 5th root race.  The Fifth root race out of Seven.
They termed this root race the Aryan Race advancing the development of the evolution of mankind towards the evolved state of the planet Jupiter.  The Sixth root race being mankinds future evolution towards Venus and the Seventh root race towards Vulcan.

There is scarce information available of this cosmology, for example what the sixth and seventh root race are actually termed although together with Steiner it falls under the development of the Atman (5th) Buddhi (6th) and Manas (7th) - all linked with Uranus.  The period of the root races is not clearly documented but i would say each aeon lasts either 25,250 or 40,000 years.

The Root Race is different from the Seven Rays, also intuitionatively perceived by the three guru's and linked within the root races.

Side tracking but i would like to write here about the Planet Lucifer (to just add further comment to your posting under the Rapture)  Blavatsky (the mystic) and Steiner (the scientist) intuitionatively perceived (Steiner more so confirming this in the akashic records) this planet called Lucifer.

Planet Lucifer was a planet in our solar system, perceived to be between Mars and Mercury, this planet blew up and the pieces fall to the Earth.  Planet Lucifer is linked to Venus - the Morning Star - and is also called the lost planet.  Reflecting on this event (that hard to find out extactly when it happened but with further reflection i think it may be worked out) is quite profound.  Therefore, in my opinion, it is wrong to liken Lucifer with satan.

Gman, im rambling on now but the name Blavatsky set me off!

Thank you for sharing your astral travels - exactly what i have heard off and you are very fortunate to do this - like the other people here.  I would say this is not the astral realm it is beyond.

Regards
Caryn

Sorry, realised i made a mistake here in the root race - it should be;

Manas (5th) Buddhi (6th) and Atman (7th) .. silly of me to write the Manas has being the 7th!

Manas - the development of the physical body (could very well be oobe)
Buddhi - the development of the higher state of the etheric body to higher love
Atman - the development of the higher state of the astral body to higher comprehension.

This being a very brief overview of development.

Hey Spooky, since i wrote about Planet Lucifer or Luci-Bel i have had this song in my mind ..

Was it sung by the Eagles?

And the sky exploded with a mighty crash
as we fall into the sun.
And the first one said to the second one there I hope you having fun ..
band on the run ..

lol just a melody.

Hi augeideian,
the www says it's from The Wings:

Well, The Rain Exploded With A Mighty Crash As We Fell Into The Sun,
And The First One Said To The Second One There I Hope You're Having Fun.
Band On The Run, Band On The Run.

I remember the chorus "Band on the run".

Of course .. The Wings .. that was Paul McCartney's band - just copied some info about the song:

Band on the Run should have been a disaster. Two of Wings' original members quit in a huff just before its production. The whimsical decision to record in Lagos, Nigeria, became a nightmare when McCartney and company found themselves in a decaying studio, then had many of the project's demos stolen by armed bandits. Despite these hardships--perhaps because of them--Band on the Run remains the most focused and consistently satisfying record of McCartney's wildly uneven post-Beatles career. This mini box set contains the original album, a well-written booklet by Mark Lewisohn, and a bonus disc featuring outtake snippets and interviews with all the album's participants (including its cover crew, which includes actors James Coburn and Christopher Lee) and Dustin Hoffman, who recounts how he spurred McCartney to spontaneously write "Picasso's Last Words" on a dare. This second disc would make a fine radio show; it comes up short where it matters most--in music. Time spent detailing the album-cover photo session could have been more gratifyingly devoted to more contemporary outtakes (much of the bonus Band material is culled from live performances from as recently as the mid '90s; perhaps McCartney wants us to know how important the record has been to him over the years) or to a pair of single B-sides, which are curiously absent here. --Jerry McCulley

Lol interesting.

And yes Hotel California is by The Eagles.

Sorry rattling on here about this  :)

Infinite Creator equals infinite possibilities.   This earth and those on it are such a tiny, tiny part of the universe.  When you sit down, and REALLY comprehend eternity and infinite space, it is mind-blowing.

As such, and Quantum Physics is rapidly moving toward a convergence with mystics on this point, there could be innumberable universes parralleling and overlapping each other.

With our limited human minds, the true scope of this is likely impossible to comprehend, though we can have a very sketchy vision of it.

however, the numbers of spirits out there could be very, very vast, and with creation always expanding, new ones are coming into existence all the time  (kind of like how new pictures and information are arriving in Wolf Blitzer's CNN situation room all the time, right?  haha)

I am reminded of the story of Natcheketas, from one of the ancient Hindu books. In brief it goes (with liberal interpretation and bad recollection) kinda like this ...

Natcheketas' father was giving an offering of a bull, but instead of the best of the herd, he gave a sickly old animal that was almost dead already. His son, Natcheketas, was horrified at the implied sacriledge. Over time, his father made a number of similar sacrifices, and each time the youngster complained. By the time he was a young adult, ready to be given in apprenticeship to a local artisan, Natcheketas had pretty much had his fill of this. So had his father. "Father," he asked,"To whom shall you give me?" His father angrily replied, "I shall give you to Death."

Natcheketas was obedient, and went to the land of Death, and knocked at the door of Death. Death was out, so he had to wait, and when he returned, was upset to see that he had kept this honest man waiting. So he ofered to answer a question. Natcheketas asked, "Tell me, Death. How many gods are there?"

Death stammered and fionaly replied, "As you have been told, where there is water, there you shall find a god." Natcheketas was not satisfied, "Yes, but in truth, how many gods are there?" Death replied, "Nine thousand nine hundred ninety and nine." Natcheketas persisted, "Yes, but in truth, how many gods are there?" Death responded, "Nine hundred ninety and nine." Natcheketas continued, "Yes, but in truth, how many gods are there?" Death said, "Ninety and nine." Again Natcheketas asked, "Yes, but in truth, how many gods are there?" Death answered, "Nine. There are only nine gods." But Natcheketas was not satisfied and continued, "Yes, but in truth, how many gods are there?" Death paused a moment and responded, "In truth there are but three gods, masters of the three basic aspects of reality." Natcheketas still pressed for more, "Yes, but in truth, how many gods are there?" Death finally answered him, "In truth, dear one, there are but one god. One alone and supreme." So Natcheketas asked, "And what about the other Nine thousand nine hundred ninety and eight?" Death smiled, "They are but God's other expressions of the Divine Nature, as they are each extended into the world."

And, indeed, in all the spirit world and the world of the living as well, only One can truly be found.
