Title: My friend is stuck.. Post by Shirley on Sep 16th, 2006 at 8:11pm
I felt the need to reach out to my friend Vicki, who passed over a year ago. She was a devout pentecostal..
I found her. In a sort of church setting. She couldn't seem to see or hear me. She was clapping, singing and sorta swaying, like in church. There were several others with her. Any help would be appreciated.. :( |

Shirley,
I remember from Bruce's book that people stuck in hollow heavens are some of the hardest to retrieve. It's ironic because it sounds like your friend is enjoying herself? I wonder why you weren't able to talk to her? Did you find your voice muted? Or did she just not respond to your talking? Singing is also a possible trick. Also, don't be afraid of using physical contact as a way of getting her attention. -mike |

Thanks, Mike..it was like I was invisible to her. I'm going to keep trying. Yes, she was enjoying herself, but being deluded..man..

Shirley, I would go back there and join in beside here with the singing, clapping and swaying. Then possibly she'll notice you and then you can go from there. Good luck with this. It may take several journeys before she'll be persuaded. You can tell her that you know of a place where the singing, clapping, etc. are so outstanding. Maybe you'll get all who are with her to follow you. ;-) I feel you can do it Shirley.

I agree with Mair here on what she said.. But ..IMO..maybe she need to be there now; for a while, until she start questioning that believe. Maybe it a place she feels comfortable at the moment even if you think/know she is being deluded !! When close friends move on it's especially hard on the surviving people to understands where we think they should be.I've been through that dilema myself, and found that with time we seems to understand more of the why they are there a this moment. Good luck, romain |

What the last two posts said...
That sort of upbringing (Pentecostal) sticks like glue...the reactions to things are positively visceral (okay, they've got no viscera over there, but you know what I mean). I'm guessing prying her loose needs to be a slow delicate process, like peeling old varnish off a painting rather than slinging a gallon of turpentine at it. I suspect anything more than little "picking at the edges" sort of things are just going to be rejected out of hand. She's got lots of time...visit and nudge her gently, maybe, but I doubt a frontal assault will work, plus might be quite the shock to a Pentecostal system... |

Hi Shirley, would be fine if you could go again there and then post if something has changed, well I had a journey that MAYBE could be related to your friend and her place. I can post it, but would like if you first had a look again after her so we could compare what we've found.

Cricket; I like the analogies, especially the slinging a gallon of turpentine at it, and we know it does not work..lol I think Bruce mentioned this in one of his book, can't remember which one at the moment, but he said that a believe system is like a big rock, and you have to keep chipping at it bit by bit, it vibrate through the rock until it pulverize itself..! Thanks for the laught, Romain |

I did make a brief contact..I slipped in beside her, to the inside of the pew. She seemed surprised to see me..then it all faded away into a dream. I'm going to search again, she's just been on my mind so much the last few days.. |

Allright Shirley, I'll see if you can break through to her again, and I keep my mind-eyes open too, then I'll post what I've seen.

when she didnt see you and you thought you were invisible, thats becasue you were on a hihgher frequencey. you have to modulate to match her frequency. then you guys can talk. but you probably already know that.
like on the radio, as you approach and pass a frequency, there is strong reception and weak reception, and at the fringes you still know what you are hearing, but are not in tune. i'm probably preaching to the choir. |

hi Shirley, I'm late but wanted to put in two cents...I agree with everyone's advice.
try remembering a time when she and you were together and feeling good there with the friendly vibes..this will help to get back to her, to set up the intention. this I feel is like the modulation factor greenwater mentioned. that was a good way to put it. then I had one more suggestion more on practical side? as you do the imagination thing, see yourself asking her out for some tea, or coffee, or to enjoy a sunset, or whatever you think you two might have done together before that you enjoyed, like even sitting in your kitchen together. something that she would relate to as enjoyable support of herself. but at least she picked you up, so I can see success coming. love, alysia can't wait to see what Spooky picked up. :) |
