Title: PUL's effect on curiosity
Post by betson on Sep 1st, 2006 at 11:00am
Greetings,  :)

A side effect of PUL that showed up in Book 3 of Bruce's is that after receiving some highly concentrated bolts of PUL, Bruce's approach to his afterlife spiritual contacts changed dramatically. Before the PUL he listened to them tell him what they would but often seemed to argue or resist the information.  After the bolts of PUL tho, he was full of questions for the same spiritual helpers and he fully accepted their information.

Some side effects of receiving pure unconditional love could be expected to be more compassion, kindness---variations on love.
But now I'm wonderring if you've also noticed more curiosity as a result of your PUL experiences?
And if curiosity is indeed a 'by-product' of PUL, what can we do to have more curiosity?

We all want to have love in our life, be happy and have a true understanding of who we are. We become really curious about something because we believe in some way it will help us find the love, happiness and sense of self we're looking for. We certainly don't become curious about something because we expect it won't make us happy. Even when we become curious about an unpleasant aspect of ourselves it is so we can get rid of it and make more contact with our true self, which enables us to experience love and happiness.

I believe it was quite natural for Bruce to become more curious after he experienced PUL, because at such time he was really starting to smell the bacon, if you know what I mean.

I believe it is a mistake to think of PUL as an energy you gather similar to how you get gas at a gas station. If God is everywhere, then love is everywhere. When we allow ourselves to experience love it isn't like somebody suddenly runs up to us with a gas nozzle. Rather, we tune into what is always there. When we send somebody love, we send them what is already there.

Have you ever held on to a state of mind that doesn't allow you to feel love, and as soon as you let it go love is there? Or perhaps something inspires you to feel the love that is always there.

You are right on again, recoverer,
but standing in a different place than I am, apparently.

You're right about my error in thinking PUL is an on or off force.
I feel it quite intensely when I wish it for others or it builds from reading something on the boards here. It feels like my arms are glowing, then on fire almost. Bruce had written to feel PUL, recall how it felt to be held when a baby  (  :) or  to hold a baby? Can't remember which.) Then it dies down to a glow again, but it must leave an afterglow because attitudes of mine and people I meet have changed.
But regarding the curiosity--I always thought curiosity was directed toward the outer world, like daVinci's. That's why I was surprised that it related to PUL, but your way shows how it is very related. I never thought of it coming inside and knowing what i want. That would be nice. I envy where you're standing, immersed within it, it seems.
Thank you for that viewpoint.

Oh gosh Betson, stop tooting my horn and stop deflating your own.  :) I have my problems you know.

If there's one thing I've learned it isn't good to measure ourselves against each other spiritually.

I used to belong to a spiritual group. People used to get into measuring who is spiritually high and who isn't.  Estimates were often not too accurate. Especially when you consider the Guru, who was judged to be the highest of all of us, but ended up being a fake.

Hi,
in my experience, feeling PUL and curiosity go along with each other, also with a highly risen wakefulness. I don't know what triggers which. But it is, in my version of PUL, that it is a sort of opening, and a diminishing of judgement. This is of course raising the awareness of things not seen before, so- good for curiosity.

And about PUL as an energy: I find it helpful to imagine this at times. But it's true, not like gas at the gas station, but everytime when I'm in the mood, and I really want it, want it running through me and radiating outwards me, then the PUL station is there, and it'll never run empty, so I've been told.

Spooky

Great topic Benson,

In my limited, but profound experience, and my reading on the subject as well,  PUL IS an energy. But EVERYTHING is energy, so it's also everywhere. I think it's a matter of focus and intent. As for curiosity, PUL removes blocks and opens us up to exploring new possibilities.

Love,
Rob

Hi PUL is the greatest feeling to have and the greatest gift you can give,it lights the world up,if there was more of it we would all be a lot happier, but thats in an ideal world and this is not an ideal world, this world is a place of misery, hell on earth, utter caious and torment.

Thank god there is one place, the spirit world, where PUL really exists.

We can all do our bit ,by sending love and giving love, but it will never change on this planet, not in a million years, thats the reality, but we must live our lives,to learn on this earth, and my beleif in God keeps me going,God is love, real love.

St Francis of Assisi kissed a leper on both cheeks and then layed on the ground and cryed because this leper was suffering, that is true love for your fellow man.

When they found the words of Jesus written in Aramic,it said that JESUS SAID THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS INSIDE YOU,AND AROUND YOU,NOT SET IN STONE OR WOOD.
He meant that you dont have to go to church to find God.
Gods love is in our hearts.
The Vatican church in Rome will not recognise these writings of jesus as the Vatican say it is just hearsay.
These writings were found ,where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found
Love and god bless you all Juditha

Now this is very negative thinking Juditha. I am a Lightworker and I do meditations to send love and light to the world. I keep a positive attitude as that's the only way that we will see peace and love. Many are working on this now and have been for a long time.  Negativity breeds negativity.

Hi Judith,

I hope you know I wasn't putting you down, but I did feel it important to point that out.  You're doing so good and I know that sometimes it's hard to remain positive when we see so much suffering in the world. God bless you dear soul. ;-)

With Love, Marilyn

OK George, let's discuss skunks.  I had a dog once who chased a skunk under the trailer I was living in. She came running back coughing and choking as she'd gotten it full in the mouth and on her chest. The cats went running when she came running. Actually, it was very funny.

I'd heard tomato juice was good for getting the smell out but I didn't have any. So I took some baking soda and made a loose paste of it and put it on her and do you know that the smell was gone in a few hours.  It really works.

But being that close to the smell was almost overpowering.!  Anyone else have a skunk story for George's physical nose?  ;D

Love, Mairlyn
