Down country road i go
Walking through the lanes
Lonely and afraid
Thinking oh no not again
More to despair about ,more to fear
I got down on my knees
And began to pray
Suddenly i saw a white dove
I thought is this god sending me his love
A calming feeling came over me
I knew then that god was with me
I didnt feel alone anymore
With god by my side
It was then i started to cry
Iwanted to go with god
I wanted to die
I didnt want to live another day
On this earth plain
I couldnt take no more pain
"I want to come with you god " i said
No my child you have much to do
You have not finished your earthly tasks
I,ll be with you all the way
So dont be afraid
Trust me and you will never be alone
And when your tasks are finished
Then you can come home

Sometimes when we feel alone and we are so tired it is so good to know that even if we curl up under a blanket beside the fire so exhausted we feel we can hardly carry on for one more day we are never without a friend waiting to give us comfort. Our friend can be the stars in the sky, or the books that we read, or the eyes of another. It doesn't matter...all of life is our friend and our Great Teacher. It is all a part of the great mystery which we will come to understand one day, and, when Love is our Focus, we can go anywhere...we can do anything. There is always a place to rest.
