Title: NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE Post by Bob McKelvy on Jul 16th, 2006 at 10:42pm
I posted this several years ago shortly after it happened.
We were returning from a yacht race. I turned the helm over to one of my crewmen so that I could get close to another yacht to get one of my crew members back that I loaned to it because it was short handed. A strong gust of wind caught the mainsail, causing the boom to suddenly swing around and hit the back of my head cutting it wide open and almost shattering my skull. Never knew what happened till later. One moment. I was watching the other yacht. Felt a blackness and brief pain. The next moment, I was hovering in the air in old Holland, admiring the beautiful well kept lawns and flower beds arranged in beautiful geometric shapes. The water was light blue. I was also impressed by the large pink wind-mills. Felt a tremendous sense of peace. For some strange reason, my name was Hans. Could not remember the last name. It had a Germanic sound to it. This went on for a few minutes. A little later, I heard my name being called. "Bob, come back" !! Who is Bob ? My name is Hans. Felt a pull, and got a little irritated because I did not want to leave this beautiful place. As soon as I regained consciousness, I was in severe pain and bleeding badly because my scalp was cut wide open. Lucky for me, the captain of the yacht I loaned one of my crew members to was also an Emergency Room doctor. He also had a well stocked first kit that he carried on his yacht. They finally brought me back. I kept bouncing back and forth between this reality, and the world that Hans was living in. Talked to many of my friends about this experience. Most of them felt that Han's was another aspect of my higher self parked in another part of the time track. Parked there temporarily, a "Blast to the past" so to speak :) Love Bob :) |

I read this story on Linn's board and thought the same thing when I read it here Bob. I feel this nostalgia for Holland and I want to go meet Hans, where the well kept geometric landscape is. sounds so beautiful. Remember Monroe, where he told a story of meeting one of his selves also? that was a trip I must say.
I also have read stories of folks being literally knocked out of their body by a strong velocity force such as that wind mast, say car accident crashes, the astral body would fail to conk out with the physical and it was like oh wow, where am I? hugs, alysia |

Hi Bob, I don't know much about your past history with spiritual or psychic activity, so I was wondering, did this experience happen at a time when you already were into all this stuff? Or was this experience a kick-off that sparked your interest?

This happened before I found the Monroe/Moen consciousesss. At the time, I was well into Edgar Cayce, Lobsang Rampa, Ruth Montgomery, etc. Was also having a lot of controlled and spontaneous OBE's. The experience provided a lot of personal validation about life in the other dimension's. There were no physical/psychic life changes from this that I was aware of except for a long scar on my scalp and a greater awareness of the Mainsail boom when sailing LOL ;D Love Bob :)

This is interesting Bob. Since, at the time you had experienced being out of body in a controlled manner, here was an uncontrolled NDE. I wonder though. Was it a different time? I was in Curacao just a few years back, and the pink architecture or pastel colors were very real in that tropical setting. Your experience in traveling OOB may have led you to this.
I can't pretend to know more about it, but I think it was very very interesting. It may have been in another timeline. Matthew |

Hi Bob and all,
I wonder who or what decided that you went to this place/time/person in particular, the same thing like when someone is OBEing and finds him/herself in a place where this person can't recall to ever have thought of that place. Probably there's much going on behind the curtains of our awareness, but is there also an element of random that throws one in those unexpected places? Spooky |
