Title: Mental Illness
Post by Never say die on Jul 14th, 2006 at 11:51am
True story: Recently in Western Australia in my country, a mentally sick child murderer was sentenced to life imprisonment.

What is likely to happen to people who have committed heinous crimes but have had a mental illness on crossing over?

If they are not in their right mind, how accountable are they for their actions? Is a mental illness their fault? Many questions so few answers  :(

The real question would have nothing to do with the murders, and more so the mental illness alone.  Seeing as your afterlife is more dependant on the knowledge you have of the afterlife, not what you have done.

They also go hand in hand.

One who has a lot of knowledge of afterlife and the true PUL, won't go out murdering people.

Back to the original question, I have no idea how the soul in a mentally challanged person reacts when crossing over.

Also, what I just wrote is my basic understanding, there's a good chance I'm wrong.

Thanks for your opinion. I'm sure some people on this board would have an idea about it.

I just like to ask myself. Oh, somebody just passed on, what condition are they likely to be in? The more I learn about these things the more prepared I am personally and the more I can share this wisdom with others close to me.

It's my guess that this child chose this life of mental illness and murder since we all choose our lives before coming here. Upon death which isn't really death anyway, the child will be healed and then go on from there.

I know people don't like to hear this, but we've all done EVERYTHING in our past lives. We've all been murdered, have murdered and anything else you can think of. This is how we carry out our karma and how we learn from it.

Blessings,
Mairlyn ;-)

Having lived with mental illness in my imediate family, I have come to believe that we are give the opportunity to start afresh and this is an indiation that we need to revise our life paths.
You will find that often people who suffer from depression and mental illness often go on to do healing of some kind.
a classic case is my hubby who was bullied at work, worked pemanent night shift and had a breakdown. he has been on workcove for 4 1/2 years and has now decided to do a diploma in massage and wants to do a course in pshcology.
I guess it is proably true what they say about people in the haing proffesion, that they do it to heal themselves.
for similar reasons I beocme a healer, both hands on and as a light worker using reiki, this was after a very traumatic, continued injury at work which carried on for 11 years. I find tha tmy own experience with injury gives me an insight into how these people need to be helped and i have empathy with them. i also find it gives me an understanding on how the "system" works when they are injured at work.
having also been a full time carer for my husband has been a great learning curve, because most people with chronic pain have depression too which often goes untreated. I also now have a very good unerstanding of the mental health care system which is not neccsarily a good thing because it is so poorly underfunded.
as far as murderers, i have read that it is because we volunteer ourselves at times to allow other souls to expererience situations. not sure why you wuld chose to be murdered, but I I guess taht would be part of their life path.
regards to all
