Title: New member

I always had faith in the afterlife but shied away from it due to a scepticism and not finding the conformity of church and religion so appealing. Over the past year the afterlife, parapsychology and the paranormal in general have become fascinating to me as I am big on personal pursuit of knowledge and information, rather than accepting things on faith.

I came across this site via a link from Victor Zammit - A Lawyer's Case for the Afterlife.

http://www.victorzammit.com/

I recommend visiting the site just to look at the Friday Report. Recently he attended a séance where he says he talked to and shook hands to materialised etherics (audio clips included)

I’ve read up about the scientists that are on ‘the side’ of the afterlife.

I only just started to read this site and I haven’t read the books or tapes. It sounds fascinating and your experiences strengthen my belief that the afterlife exists and a loving spiritual force is the creator, not a judgemental punitive god like what I perceive god as being in several religions.

I look forward to joining in the discussions but I'll probably be more the enquirer than the educator to begin with!

My name is Mike and I'm from Sydney, Australia. You can also call me ‘Never Say Die’ or 'NSD'  ;)

Thanks for the warm welcome, betson.

I have so many questions I could put forward to those with afterlife experiences.

I have a pretty good level of understanding of what I've read on other sites which are similar in the way that they describe some of the 'rules' of the afterlife and it is based on direct experience. It is based on pure spirituality but not one particular religion.

The thing that's stood out for me so far on this site is 'The Belief System Territories'. I find it intriguing that we can be drawn to that realm if we have a specific set of beliefs and want to cling to them rather than just allowing our souls to experience all that is available to us.

welcome :)  my former PE partner is in Australia and I am in America. we met here and traveled to each other obe and telepathy combined. always glad to see folks from other countries here.  Bruce also travels the world giving workshops which is admirable.
You are going to love his books (5) you can also read from free resources and free articles what he has written of his experiences by clicking on Resources above this page. I would love to talk with you about anything. our board is very diverse and accepting of all faiths but its mostly spiritual oriented as you stated. getting your own experiences is the goal we promote and take no one's word for it.

cheers, alysia

You have already given help to a seeker, Mike of Sydney!
Thank you!
When you said ".... we have a specific set of beliefs and want to cling to them rather than just allowing our souls to experience all that is available to us",  my system reacted with a jolt. I reread what you'd written and realize that I'd just received a signal that  I have to work on that for myself.  You never know when some way of saying something will release an insight. I thought I was being pretty open by hanging out with these folks,  ;)  and I've learned so much from them already, but you just let me know that I must have some 'specific set of  beliefs that I'm clinging to rather than....etc'.  Thanks so much.

You never know Indeed  :)

I don't have all the terminology like you guys who've read the books and heard the tapes have but I understand what you mean. I had a big jolt to the system when it occurred to me that all my learning has lead to me a path, that is now communicating with others on the web about their afterlife beliefs/knowledge/experiences and this was meant to happen. Its quite amazing that only a year or two ago I was all very unsure about what to believe or what to make of the purpose of what I'm doing here, but I now have alot more assurance of this. What I lack are vivid experiences. I have wierd dreams but I don't know if they are influenced by those who've passed on. I've been fortunate to have avoided the pain of losing ones close to me so far, and at 25 years of age I'm hoping to really strengthen my beliefs/knowledge and spiritual experience so that when and hopefully its not before time, a loved one does pass away, I'll be able to cope better than I otherwise would have been able to.
