I know that the main thing for most of those who experience an OBE is the experience itself because it is a challenging situation and tell us a lot about our selves. As I noticed during the time I’ve been reading your experiences there is no need to prove it. ;)

But I’d like to understand why you don’t try something really simple in order to establish a method to study the phenomena in a way that it can be reproduced as many times as you need it. :-?

For instance:

A friend places a red ball in his dinner room over a table. Tonight you are going to try to arrive there and check for the object and then you describe it. :)

Isn’t it possible? Why?

The possible answer could be…. Why would we waste our time with such silly test once we could rather be flying all over the world finding answers to more important questions. It is it? :-[

And that reminds me of what I found while visiting at a center for paranormal research. They used white cards with black images to attempt to telepathically transmit those images to people in other rooms. My reaction was , 'ugh, why would our souls want to deal with those ugly shapes?' At first I thought the same thing about the US remote viewing program (excuse me, please, Bob Mc) but then I learned of their patriotic love for the greater good. IMO I think the soul and love are involved. The exploration process suggested in Bruce's writings always starts with feelingand generating pure unconditional love.

Bets, I really have to agree with you.  From my own experience, I can attest to the fact that we operate differently in our thinking out there.  You learn quickly about the true nature of yourself I think.  In my mind while I sit here, I may think of several things I'd like to try while out of body, but then when I have my next OBE, I find that something else is going on that is more important.  Everything is a learning experience.  I have been on very high vibration levels where it is virtually impossible to think "selfishly" because it is very far removed from the physical vibration.  Thought transference with others is so instantaneous that hours of conversation takes place in mere seconds and you find yourself enthralled in the other energies you encounter out there.  So all the things you thought you'd love to try while out of body go right out the window at that point.  Something much greater is taking place.

Hi Kardec, how are you?  I haven't gotten to the point where I have control over going out of body or what I do when it happens.  And I myself wouldn't be interested in doing experiements like you suggest.  My thinking is, what would it prove?  It would come right back to the arguement of...did you really see the ball while out of body or did you just use some ESP?  So you will never be able to prove anything that would be satifying to most people.

i think that is an excellent, simple yet effective idea to ask a friend to place a red ball on a table to be retrived by oneself later.  But on the otherhand when i had my short obe (this is sounding like a song now!) i had no doubt that i was out of body - er but also one wouldnt be able to pick up the ball in spirit .. erm lol ... maybe more like find the red ball .. oh dear im getting in a knot here ... so i'll just go now ..

Vick it’s good to "hear" from you again. The statement above matches several others I heard from mediums I worked with and seems to be the main reason why most of the people who has OBEs don’t make tests like I mentioned.

I understant the point and agree.

I was only trying to let it clear to me.
