Title: 6 Second Memory
Post by Cosmic_Ambitions on Jun 4th, 2006 at 4:24pm
I was watching a show on t.v. the other day about a man whom had a 6 second memory... I believe that it was his short term memory. So whenever anybody came to see him, by the time they had introduced themselves, he had already forgotten who they were.

I was wondering if anybody knew what kind of experience a person with this type of ailment might have in the afterlife in terms of afterlife placement. Would it be the same as somebody suffering from alzheimers. Whereby as Bruce has said, they are sort of still in a haze/temporarily lost "over there" until somebody (guide/helper/guardian angel) retrieves them. I know that he still retains his long term memory, (that which existed prior to this ailment), but the culmination of memories afterwards is a blur to him. I tend to believe as has been noted previously, that the mind is a sort of receiver, and that the actual memories held by any given individual are not stored within the physical brain itself, but rather in the astral/ethereal realms (i.e. the I/There disk). This is an obvious concept when considering the fact that people experience memories etc. after being diagnosed clinically brain "dead". This leaves one to reason that the memories are not stored in the physical brain... For if you experience memories when your brain is dead, then they have to be stored somewhere else. Hence, I wonder how it is possible for somebody suffering from a mental illness (i.e. alzheimers) to be stuck in a confused state post physical death; given their essence/collection of personal memories is stored in an area that is fully accessible to them after physical death. It seems to me that they would be 100% cleared of any mental ailments and would have total access to this untainted memory bank instantaneously, thereby giving them total awareness of where they are/who they are/what they've been/who they've been, etc... Therefore, no reason to be stuck in a confused plane/focus level upon physical death...

Thoughts?

hi CA  I don't think focus 22 is a stuck place but correct me anyone who wants. focus 23 is where those are caught up in belief system of one type or another. the 22 level might be a sort of drifting experience (just imagining now) I am interested though in the questions you raise. its been my experience whenever I am curious, such as you are making me now, what happens is you'll experience the answer to set an intention to find out. the fellow in 22 would not have much of a strong belief to be stuck in. what might happen is the disc may retrieve this one sooner or later; absorb him back into the disc and then he would regain full memory of the movie he starred in. I heard others mention here that weeks months or years of linear time may go by before full lucidity is regained, depending on family members who might be looking for him to draw him away from the drifting area. its my theory love bonds bring lucidity the fastest of all. PUL has an expansion of mind factor, although I can't explain it clearly. for example, say that the man had a fabulous relationship with his mother but no one else on earth, it wouldn't take long for her to find him. and also if the condition were physical, it may have been his plan to experience the condition, as just another life circumstance within many. he would not regain full memory all at once as it could be overwhelming. and he wouldn't gravitate to a heaven of his choice because he wouldn't remember right away what it was he believed in. he might gravitate to a setting where he derived his greatest pleasure in life, like a country scene, or a house he built but it can still be considered focus 22 even if he created this scene around him. sooner or later someone will remember him and find him.

Thanks Chuckles, your post was very intuitive/helpful! I like the ideas you have regarding the nature of focus 22... the notions you pose seem more feasible to me.
It seems to me that I am always wondering/curious about the full dynamics/nature of afterlife experiences. Suffice it to say, here we all are!  These types of discussion help to clarify my understanding of various afterlife dwellings. Much appreciated.

Thanks for again for your inspired thoughts Chuckles.

you're very welcome kind sir

heres a link to skyhero which can shed some light on the nature of our consciousness when not possessing a physical vehicle to drive around...

I found this author, Cozzolino facinating. I took the layers he describes and compared them to the TMI focus levels.

regards, yours forever in chuckling.

Thanks much again Chuckles! That link to "Sky-Heroes" was great! I enjoyed the concepts about balance and the various chakras. I enjoyed the parallels of the chakras in relation to our ultimate reality as co-creators in this mind-numbingly infinite reality that we find ourselves forever a part of. It's amazing to me how we are given so many parallels within this consesus reality of ours (i.e. the chakras as an analogy for our ultimate reality.)... I liked how the "master" described our "looping" existence as not something to be dreaded or disliked, but something to be aware of for its balanced functionability and infinite ever-evolving possibility. When immersed in full awareness it is without limited experience; when immersed in limited experience it is without full awareness... The key is in finding balance (heart balance) within both the full awareness and the limited experience and to forever be aware of the true nature of all experiences at all levels at all times; at all "timelessnessess". Hence this fantastic journey/adventure we all find ourselves in! Just the fact alone that I find myself writing on this board, right here right now... talking/writing/discussing/questioning with people such as yourself about the true nature of ourselves causes me mind dizziness. For out of all of the possibilities of all of the places that I could potentially be at this point in "time", I am currently right here at this moment writing/extrapolating these thoughts to you and all others! We are all currently exploring the very essence of ourselves and discovering the true nature of all that is; and we are doing this together! This is the group of people that I have planned with to discuss these thoughts with and the very nature of myself/ourselves prior to my/all of our consensus partaking. What a trip... We are virtual mind surfers!

Thanks again Chuckles!
