Title: Contacts instead of retrievals? --A misuse
Post by betson on May 8th, 2006 at 1:17am
Greetings,
Since I'm now convinced re: the retrieval process, I've been thinking of the many relationships I'd like to clarify with souls who have moved on-- by making contact with them.  Is this selfish or immoral? What has Bruce Moen written about personal contacts?
Such a contact, thru whatever guide or relative is helping, is restoring harmonic energies between souls that had fallen out of harmony  These errands have less impact than a retrieval but do help clean up the energy fields.
I just went thru a 'contact' process with my late grandmother and feel so relieved. I asked for her help in guiding me to find a replica/ replacement for a gift of hers I'd ruined. She thought I didn't care about it but I told I did very much appreciate it, and in 2 days I was buying it off the web. No voices or faces in the guidance tho, just found myself facing a web page that was selling it--? Handmade and yet almost identical! I can't believe it (so to speak.) Is this physical evidence of spiritual guidance, since I'd been looking for this for almost 40 years on my own, never having explained my love of her gift or asked for her guidance before?  bets

I've wondered the same thing...is it too selfish to desire contact.  But personally I don't believe it is selfish.  Especially when you know you have good intent in your heart.  How can that be bad? But then again, I keep wondering why my requests for contact have not been answered.  Is it not the right time?  Is that person busy?  Am I not ready? Who knows, but I do keep trying.

You say "these errands have less impact than a retrieval" but I disagree.  If the contact helps you in any way, isn't it worth it then?  What's the expression...sometimes big things come in small packages, (or something like that).  Don't sell yourself short.  If you believe you had contact and it did bring the desired outcome or it brought you an answer you were searching for, then I would say it was evidence of guidance.

I agree with Vicky! If trying to restore harmony is selfish, all is selfish.
There is another thing: When trying to contact one, to clarify something, it sometimes occures to me in the first place I get clarity about what I really want, about my emotions, my intents to do it, and that can be the hardest part of it I found. Then I would do what my mood advices me, if I feel not to try to get contact, I wouldn't do it. I can't hide my feelings not very well out there I guess so I only would meet one whom I think of can (under)stand my state.

Every of those activities also can be viewed as a sort of psychologic self-analysis process, so in every case it's something interesting. And I wonder if we even could see retrievals, contacts and other activities in the spiritual field also as a process of introspection like in psychoanalysis.

I think it's a very good verification, not for the scientists, but to see the synchronicities that occur when starting to do things in the nonphysical or just in the imaginative, can get quite impressive, I think it can grow so much, in small packages, right Vicky!, and once in a while you look around you and you find you are enlightened and you haven't noticed it before!

I see nothing wrong at all with contacts. My greatest contact yet was with my formerly abusive husband. This allowed me to start healing and the healing is continuing. From this came the knowledge that we had agreed to this life for learning purposes. If I hadn't contacted him, I wouldn't be where I am today.

Love, Mairlyn ;-)
