HI Rhonda,
Once, in one of those very real feeling dreams, all of my past dogs were there (I had had them one at at time) and we were enjoying a walk together. I woke with a long-lasting very happy feeling. Also, the one psychic reading I had, many of my past-over pets and animals were there. Love, Carolyn |

I definitely have. My cat Haley visited me each day for about two months after he died. I couldn't see him but could feel him jump on the bed, walk across it, and lay down next to me.

I am glad that you have had this experience too, sometimes I just catch up with them while asleep, sometimes they are here at the house.
It is so nice to see them, especially as they are my family. sometimes its the horses, and sometimes the dogs, not so much the cats. My little bird came when I was treating in the clinic a few months ago, she was flying around the room. this was where I had hand raised her as a baby, and where she had played. I have also experienced the two dogs I have now spending time with me in dreams. My cat actually visited in spirit before she moved in in the physical. I found this strange at first, but after working withher in a healing capacity with patients, I am no longer surprised. all my animals have the same ability. please tell me more about your experiences as I am keen to hear more |

:).. My cat Spanky cross-over 2 years ago and came right back to me 2 1/2 months later. This cat and I had the strongest bond.. I always called him my little soul-mate. I have other cats but Spanks was, and is the king of them all. I had so many signs from him that he was still with me. Because he was anemic he would try to eat his cat litter for minerals. So the litter smell is somthing I related to him. When I got home from the vets office and stepped out of the car, a huge wiff of the litter smell surrounded me. That night, I had ear plugs in my ears so I could sleep, and I heard purring in my ear. It rained the next day, and on the stone wall in my back patio was a dry spot in the shape of a cat. The rest of the wall was wet with rain. I continued to smell the litter smell in places where there was no litter. I had the visit dreams, the very clear and vivid ones. I had so many signs from him.. One morning upon waking I turned over and got a glimpse of him. The most interesting thing was one night I was awoken by this thumping by my head. It felt like my cat was chasing his tail on the bed by my head. But no cat was there. I turned over (don't know why this didn't freak me out) and fell back to sleep. A short while later I awoke and it was still going on. I didn't know then but that was the day Spanky was reborn. 2 months later I adopted "Angel Bella". I went to the SPCA with the intention of adopting a kitten for my other cat so she would have a playmate. I really wasn't looking for Spanky. I didn't really know if he would come back that soon or maybe at all. As I was getting ready to go, I looked at spankys picture and said "Spanky if there's a kitten there that looks just like you, and has the white spot on his back, then I'll know it's you". And sure enough, I walk in the the door of the SPCA.. and the only kitten fast asleep was an exact duplicate (almost) to my spanky. My Spanky had this white spot on his back that I would always kiss and say.. that before he was born an angel kissed him and that's why he had it.. When I use to pray to him after he crossed.. I would say "Spanks, if you come back you have to look the same in the face and have the white spot on your back, so I know it's you".. and he did... I wouldn't have thought it was him this strongly if the personality were different.. But my Bella has the same personality as Spanks and all the same old habits. So that to me is the only proof I need. I know that love really does conquer all. I grieved for him in the same way a mother grieves for her child. It hurt sooo bad, I didn't think I'd make it through. I read everything I could get my hands on about the afterlife. Before his death I was very interested in the subject but didn't make time for it. Right before his death and ever since his death I can't stop. My awareness of the afterlife is immense and my believe has turned to 'knowing'. His passing and then returning has completely changed me. Before his death, I was walking in the clouds (so to speak) and now I'm walking on them. I feel he came to me to teach me some great life lessons. I have never had children so without him I would never have learned that kind of love. And without losing him and having him return, I would never have become so aware about the other side. I feel so blessed...
Thanks for reading... |

I think animals are a part of us; like an extention of our emotional nature, produced in a form we can see and touch and love.
thanks for telling us your heartwarming story Rharris, I smiled to read it. I believe we need experiences like this to remind us to study those afterlife areas and looks like thats what happened to you as you followed your heart to that which you were bonded with. so did my daughter Dana. she was very attached to her kitty Jay. he got sick and couldn't eat. still she wouldn't put him down. he might get better she said. but he could barely stand up. could not even drink water. finally she took him in to the vet. she'd been keeping him alive with pills, but this was it. still, she carried guilt. day after day it bothered her. once in a while she'll have those realistic dreams or obes..she wll be hanging with her peers during her sleep, like mother like daughter you know. I do the same while sleeping and get glimpses of night activity. shortly after putting Jay down she traveled to her nightly place, and there was Jay who pounced into her arms and they had a true reunion of joyfulness unequaled. upon awaking the grief was healed, and Jay was a frisky cat again which made the healing happen in Dana. Not real? who would deny that healing is real; that grief can be dissolved through the heart? it is important to study these areas and be able to accept our healing however it comes, whether you believe animals survive death or not. I do believe that as a part of us, animals continue on and I have many stories about them. whatever would we do without animals to love on this planet..hate to even think about it! if someone will post another story about making contact with an animal, then I will ramble some more about this colt, and my dog Tutti, and Cayenne the orange tabby, and Holly, the guard dog who didn't know how to guard, and... hugs |

Okay, I take the challenge.... :)
I had a cat for 20 years. She died of natural causes while I was on holiday vacation. I am truthful when I tell you that I felt her small warm body appear in my arms a few days after returning home. I was standing beside a table in my living room and I felt her in my arms quite vividly, so that I was cradling her, and had a very pleasant feeling come over me. It really felt like she was there to say goodbye to me. love, blink |
Title: Re: Animals in the Afterlife... Post by laffingrain on Apr 24th, 2006 at 6:14pm
me too. I'm truthful! lol. my dog snowball, a white chihuahua back in the 70's didn't come home one day. I was young and stupid and though he would never wander far. wrong.
every day I would mourn, whether my stupidity or for my pet I don't know. one day I was asleep and felt him jump on the bed excitedly, walk up to the pillow and make breathing and slurpy noises, whatever, thats how dogs talk. he even jumped on my body and he had weight. I thought in my dreamy state, oh thank god, he's finally found his way home! I threw the covers off excited to grab him and I saw nothing. then I knew he had probably died and gone to doggy heaven, as the visit had been real enough. I did stop mourning as I could tell he was in fine fetter wherever he was, a very happy camper. I have more stories if anyone else wants to take a turn? ha ha! love, alysia |

:).. Thanks for sharing.. I'd love to hear more stories... ;D
I had two german shephards when I was younger..Mac and Dharma.. It's been 25 years since they've gone.. every now an then I think of them.. One night in a dream I saw Mac..he just came running toward me.. it felt like a realistic dream not the fuzzy kind..so I was sure it was a visit from him saying hello..I woke..and thought where was Dharma.. fell back to sleep..saw Mac again.. and out came Dharma and a bunch of her puppies that she had with Mac...Again, it was a realistic like dream.. I felt really good when I woke up.. Like, I was satisfied in knowing that they are still around and having fun.. and together still after all this time..lol... |

thanx Rharris. this thread is neat. I got some vibrations around my neck and ears when I read your latest story, which means to me it was real.
I sometimes get body vibrations when I read people here..probably why I'm addicted here. lol. ok since you asked.. ;D ;) my daughter had left Cayenne a male cat with me on the farm. we had coon. they were very hungry coon. we had coyote, hungry too. it had to be one of these. he was always an outdoor cat for many years. the last time I saw him he looked up at me to complain. I had brought another cat home from the humane society, a younger cat and Cayenne was not pleased with my selection. he said to me I'm hungry for wet food. I told him to eat the dry. he said you never pet me. I said, I'm sorry, I have a lot of animals to attend to but maybe I will stroke you later. then he was gone. I was surprised he didn't come home as he was very much able to take care of himself, had a mean look on his face all the time. a tough guy. so I could hardly believe it he had been taken. I had to find out what happened. I searched my dreams. I wandered in dream into the wooded area next to my field about an acre away. there was an empty halfway house located there. spirit said watch. I watched and there was Cayenne hurrying into the house in the wood. I asked does anyone live there? Spirit said, no, this is the halfway house for animals. the animal keepers will come shortly to pick him up. then I looked into Cayennes mind to see if he was mad at me for not paying enough attention to him. in his mind he was thinking oh boy! this is my very own house that I dont' have to share with the other cats. every day I go and explore the woods I love and come home to sleep in my house. a human will find me soon as I reguire humans, but this is where I am now. so I surmised that animals, like humans, have a bit of a waiting period and then caretakers come for them. |

:D.. Thanks for sharing that Laffingrain...
Here's something I think is a pretty significant sign of my Spanky's return... Right after Spanky died I had lots of dreams of him. A few felt like visits.. In one we would be playing and I would pet him and tell him thanks for making this dream feel so real.. I thought, oh the dr. would be shocked to see how well you look. Another, I was bending down petting him while he drank water from his favorite water fountain we had. Again, I was thanking him for making the dream feel so real. At the end of both these dreams he started gagging and choking. And then I would wake up.. I couldn't figure out why at the end of both of these wonderful dream/visits that he would start gagging/choking.. Well months later, after I got "the new Spanky" Angel Bella.. We were playing one day and all of a sudden she started gagging.. it wasn't the normal furball kind of gag..the ones that would eventually come up.. This went on for days, it happened intermittently and it would be just a gag..no noise.. And it didn't seem she was trying to get up a fur ball. I thought she had something caught in her throat.. So I took her to the vet and they took x-rays and she had a fur-ball the size of a golfball, in her stomach.. she was still just a little kitten at this time. The dr. said that his cat once had the same thing and since it was so large they would probably have to surgically remove it.. he said it was too large to move into the intestines. He gave me 5 minutes alone with her, and I sat and looked at her and I felt that I could wait through the weekend and see if it would come out on it's own. He gave me the laxatone to give her.. I went home and gave her lots of it and laid my hands on her at one point and prayed and imagined the white light.. etc.. A day later, no more gagging.. I took her back in on the Monday and got more x-rays and it was gone.. It must have come out her back end because I never found it on the floor. The doctor was shocked.. This then triggered the memory of the dreams where spanky was choking, and I got this overwhelming feeling that it was all a sign that Bella is indeed Spanky... ;D |
Title: Re: Animals in the Afterlife... Post by laffingrain on Apr 25th, 2006 at 2:53pm
that was neat Rharris..this way u could avoid surgery which I too believe should be only a last resort.
perhaps in dreams we can be led to alternative healing forms. yes I think Bella and Spanky are the same little light balls, a part of your being. maybe my little one I have now is Snowball, kinda acts like Snowball. dreams are good warning symbols too. my daughters have two cats. one likes to prowl busy streets. one time I had a dream it was laying on the floor sick. I called my daughters and said watch out for Pookie. a week later the other cat got injured by a car we think and came home. they took it to the vet but it died anyway. in the dream I had seen the other cat was injured so confusion can even be in a dream or the real world. but the important thing is the wonderful verification that the physical body is not the only thing which "lives." blessings and give Bella a big kiss for me! |
Title: Re: Animals in the Afterlife... Post by Rharris on Apr 25th, 2006 at 8:01pm
;)..Yes.. dreams are great warning symbols.. I've been told and have come to realize that dreams are how I get my premonitions or visits.. I realize too that If I can find a way to get to sleep without a little help from a small dose of a sleeping pill, that I could get more messages/advice or premonitions from my dreams.. But my brain doesn't stop, so I usually take something to help me sleep.

Hey Rharris,
Just thought I would share a short story I heard from a man I worked with who's father reported to him an experience he had after suffering a non-fatal, (but, almost fatal), heart attack... He said that while unconscious he experienced brief blackness followed by scenery opening up before him in the light. He apparently saw his father standing there next to two indescribably beautiful white ferrel stallions. He dealt with horses his entire life, and loved them. Hence, what better greeting than his most beloved animals! :) PUL, Cosmic_Ambitions |

;D.. Wonderful.. I love hearing stories like that.. I really believe I'll be surrounded by animals when I cross.. What Heaven that will be.. I watch the tv show "It's A Miracle" almost every night.. And there are so many stories similar to that. I don't need anymore proof.. I just love to hear it all the time. It's like candy for me;D

Vicky... I too use to feel something jump on my bed. I had two cats at the time and I always thought it was one of them. But so many times I would go to pet my cat after I felt the jump on the bed and there wouldn't be anything there. This happened so many times that I thought I was crazy. It got to the point where I would get up and go see where my cats were to make sure it wasn't them.. and they would be fast asleep in the living room . I came to the conclusion that they can some how leave their bodies and go where they want in the house. I read a story once about some pet bunnies that were locked in a bedroom during the day.. the owner would see them hopping around the house.. when she went to check the locked bedroom they would still be in there. I believe animals have abilities we are not aware of. While here or there..
:D |

hello, was just reading another thread about the afterlife and animals and was reminded of a conversation I had with my sister in C1 and she was a spirit. (passed on) she was the argumentative type, lol, so I knew it was really her!
all her life she attended to horses. she bred, trained and rode them in shows..her devotion was incredible to see, her love for these huge animals was obvious, so it should not have surprised me when Iasked her what she was doing on the other side. she said she worked in some stables and grounds attending to horses that have been abused to restore their lovely trusting natures to what they had been before being abused. also I reflected later on her relationship with her husband of 20 yrs. she was like the dominant person in that relationship I remember. her husband abused her horses and she tried to teach him the right way to train them. also on her deathbed he was cheating on her. after she died my mother, who dreams like I do, had a dream visit with my sisters husband. he was crying; he said sis would not see him when he came calling on the other side. he wanted to make up. she had another buea (spelling?) on the other side, (I had seen this too) he asked mother to ask her to see him. but it was too late and mother would not have done this anyway. I remember telling sis I loved horses too and that I was proud of her to help them. I do love horses, but I fell off one one day and I made up my mind then as it was such a shock to me, that I like the animals better that are fuzzy and I can hold in my arms. lol. hugs, alysia |

I always wondered laffingrain... If fish were able to blink, and they had some fur on them, would people be more inclined to nurture/foster them instead of fish for them? LOL! Maybe in the hereafter the fish will bat their eyes at us, and pur gently as we pet them! LOL!!! :P PUL, Cosmic_Ambitions :) |

You may all laugh if you wish, but I am very attached to my fish. (as well as the more furry and feathery babies in my family)
when we moved my husband would not let me keep my fish and tortoise in the bath until we got a pond and I had to rehome them I was heartbroken to lose them. I love the way they interact at feeding time. I now have a new pond and a new fish family, but I am always rather sad to find one gone or worse, eaten by a Heron. I also find reiki works well on sick fish as well as the larger animals |

CA, question: do u think the reason that cows have gotten a disease is because their oversoul is tired of being raised only to be eaten? its not so bad to eat a cow spiritually, but its inhuman the way they are killed; they all seem to know whats coming; or a few do and try to break out of line. I think that's sad. I even read a story where a cow broke free and was such a runner and fighter that someone took pity on him for wanting to live and took it home. I'm a sap for stories like that. I'd like to own a farm and take in the homeless critters.
fish...never wanted to cuddle one! but thank you Cathy; I see the heart can grow fond of anything! I do have a funny story about fish but theres probably? some logic in there somewhere. I was sitting in a cafe where they had an aquariam with tropical guys in it, about 8 rather large beautys. they were all over the tank. I started thinking about them, what they were thinking about, how pretty each one was..I don't know what I was thinking, just enjoying them I guess..one came to the side of tank and looked up with one eye and just stayed there. every single fish came to that side where I was sitting and looked at me and stayed there. I thought, what, is this fish communion? I thought later, maybe they thought I was gonna feed them? anyway, it was fun to think they liked me or something! ha ha! |

I love fish too.. i use to have some brown spotted puffers boy they are characters.. I had two in the same tank and they told me at the store that they don't like to be in the same tank.. (well, jeez why'd 'they' have a whole tank full of them at the store?)..Anyway, I got two because no one likes to be alone.. they never fought but boy were they territorial. I had two houses for them, both alike.. The bossier fish took the right side and the smaller fish took what was left.. but the smaller fish always wanted what the bigger one had. Still they lived harmoniously. I had another fish that I guess I did a form of Reiki on. I saw Gene Egidio on tv once. He is a healer.. he was healing animals and people, or he was talking about it. My fish looked like he was ready to die. He was just hanging out on the bottom corner of the tank for days, not eating.. I put my hand up to the side of the tank where he was. Later, I forget much later, he was swimming around and eating.. I think he ended up dying a month or two later. I guess he needed continuous healing. I should have trusted myself more.. I didn't know if it was just coincidence or if I had really done something for him. But my cat had this sore on his shoulder for years.. Nothing would heal it.. He just kept licking it and it never would heal.. I tried everything.. When I saw Gene Egidio on tv., I tried the healing.. and it wasn't more than a month later that it was totally gone. After being there for two years. But even that didn't make me think I had healing potential. I still don't..Was it coincidence, I don't know. But I do believe if I practice that I could do it. Maybe that's all it takes, belief..? :D ;D

Romain, I had a dream of my old dog Dharma last night.. I'm pretty sure it was a visit because It felt real and I was feeling her fur and looking into her eyes. And I kept thinking to myself.. this is real, this isn't a dream. I think that's how I've come to determine what's a dream or not. When I say, this is real to myself, and it's not all fuzzy and weird like a dream can be. ;)

As I read my "fish" post, I realized I left out a lot regarding the Reiki.. I didn't just put my hand up to the tank.. there was more to it.. Basically for 10 minutes or so, I imagined the healing white/purple light.. going through him.. with love. and I pictured him happy, healthy, and swimming freely....
Just wanted to mention than ::) :o |

speaking of healing touchs Rhonda yes it's possible you did heal your fish for a period. i used to do a lot more healing stuff than I do now and noticed it needs repeating sometimes.
getting away from animals topic but my daughter and I had some interesting healings. she was around 10. both kids used to get these tiny skin lumps. calsium deposits I think they're called. they come and go by themselves. but this one lump on her wrist wouldn't go away, smaller than a dime, like a pea size. she kept complaining every few weeks to me. I thought it would go away but it didn't. I guess she would bump it doing school work. so finally I got out some aloe vera and decided to use my mind also to "see it not there." so at night time before bed I rubbed some aloe on it and kept seeing it to go away as I rubbed it, all the while adoring my child, and the look in her eyes of the way she believed. well in the morning it was gone! not even a trace of it, just dissolved. these things can get real hard, so whatever we did it worked. this same daughter had a headach once and she cured her own headach after I told her to imagine something. I told her to see a little colored light coming into the brow as I didn't want her running to me for everytime she had a pain but want her to do it. well she surprised me! she came running in and said MOM! a little door was between my eyes and it opened up and now my headachs all gone! now she's 33 yrs old and I think she's forgotten all about how she can heal herself, but she's basically healthy. cheers, alysia |

With healing, regardless of whether it is animal or human, you do it with the intention for best results. that may mean that you are only easing the tranistion of the passing over period, it is not always about making them well again as this may not be their higher purpose.
As regards the sick cows, I believe that you are correct about the way in which they are slaughtered. It is very brutal and we do not "honour " the sacrifice. If animals choose to come into this plane of existence they are aware of their purpose, so I don't think being "meat" is the problem. sorry if this makes no sense. If anyone has read Scott Taylor's book "souls in the Sea", he suggests that the dolphins and whales allow the slaughter of their species to happen to futher the growth of humans.......that they sacrifice themselves. It is an interesting idea and very humbling. Makes me think the human race is pretty pathetic really! love to hear all the animal stories! |

back to animal stories....I lost my old miniature snauzer mix when a garage door got blown open by wind. I was in hell for a month to search for her. she was losing her memory cells too.
the first event of note to happen was smelling her sulphur smell in the room really really strong. I've never had a paranormal smell experience, sound and vision, and even touch, but this the first time for the nose. you've heard of this where people will smell the perfume somebody wore. I ran into every room in the house sniffing..the only room it was in was the living room where I did most of my living and sleeping. the living room was very large and whichever end of it I ran too, the smell followed me. I was testing this to see if it was paranormal. I even went outside for the source. nothing there. came back in and just knew it was my Tutti come to me. at the same time I realized it was her I thought she must have died. then I got heartsick very bad and started to realize I was to say goodbye to her now and I didn't want to accept that of course. since I knew her little spirit was in the room I asked guidance but where? guidance said right there where your feet is. I was enveloped in the deepest gratitude and love and heartbreak and guilt for I blamed myself she wandered away. I got on my knees and though I couldn't feel anything solid I imagined her to be there and I placed my arms around her and did a very spiritual hug putting all the love I had into her for her journey to where they go. I had had her 14 years. then I went obe after that a few weeks later to find her. I found her sitting on a back porch and I was very lucid and filled with joy to find her. she wasn't clear enough, I wanted to look closer, guidance said to zoom in like a camera lens, as mind is like this ability to zoom into focus what it wants. it was very swift movement and I, or my awareness, was 2" from brown limpid eyes which looked healthy now. as I looked deep within her pools of eyes to see if she was happy I was only looking into my own eyes and I saw that I was inside my dog. it helped me anyway. i think we do help their evolution and she seemed to be saying not to be sad anymore as she could feel my sadness. cheers, alysia |

While waiting in the doctor's office, I curiously watched the aquarium there, and the fish swam over right close to the side nearest me and curiously watched me.
Alysia, your ability to get inside places might be medically useful. You could go in there and have a look. |
Title: Re: Animals in the Afterlife... Post by laffingrain on May 1st, 2006 at 12:48am
Boris, did u feel strange when the fish all came and looked at you and mine just stayed there the longest time, even struggling a little for the best ringside seat! lol!
I didn't know what to think except that I had brought their awareness over to me. so glad that you said this happened to you too! I really tried to rationalize it, that their water needed changing, the place had new owners who might not feed them enough...and I have to realize this may have been partially the cause, yet, when I wasn't thinking about them, they just acted normal and did not notice me. so who knows? |
Title: Re: Animals in the Afterlife... Post by Cathy_B on May 1st, 2006 at 2:49am
Have you noticed that this can happens with people too?
You can stare at the back of their neck and they will scratch it or if you look at them and concentrate, they will will look up at you. also I am sure this why the animals know you are coming home, you think of them and they are sensitive enough to pick up your energy and hence know before the humans that you are on your way home. |
