Title: "The Light" Post by Cosmic_Ambitions on Apr 21st, 2006 at 8:53pm
I had a family member who was on the brink of death, and he reported an experience of passing through a vortex and seeing the small pinprick of light at the end.
It's funny because the way the conversation came about was that I was playing my music on the media player via my computer and he happened to see the visualizations that come preprogrammed on most computers to visually simulate the music being heard. On this software program the visualization that was running was one of a sort of vortex that appeared as though you were passing through it at a very high speed. That's what sparked the conversation about his experience, because the visual on the software program was, as he put it, "The closest he's ever seen to the tunnel that he experienced." He said that when he went through the tunnel (vortex) and came towards the light, the light engulfed his very being, his every molecule, and doused him with the purest most unconditional love he's ever experienced! I know this to be true because, first of all, this man doesn't lie (especially about something like this), and secondly, he had tears in his eyes as he was recollecting this experience (I've never seen him cry before in his ENTIRE life!). He said that at some point he reached a barrier at which he could not cross, and was telepathically communicated to that "It was not his time", and that "He still had work to do". Before this experience, this man's grandmother was on the brink of death, and he was the one who helped her over to the other side... He said that it was like a window to the heavenly light and that he comforted her an helped her cross to the other side. He said that he doesn't know why he was chosen as the one to help her. However, he was her favorite! She apparently needed his help because she had fear inside of her which wouldn't allow her to cross. I know this to be true as well because his mom was at his grandma's side when she was about to die, and the grandma said to his mom that he saw him and that everything was going to be okay. The two accounts were totally separate. I was wondering if anyone here has experienced the warmth and love of "The Light"? Also, what does everyone think of the this idea for the equation for all of life that scientists have been trying to calculate: "E=MC2" is equal to... "God=MC2" (God is equal to, and the same as, all of the masses *times* the speed of light squared). Thanks for any input, PUL Cosmic_Ambitions :) |

The experience of "the light" is especially how we sense the nature of God and the astral states as we release our grip on the material world. It is a relatively common experience for meditators.
Perhaps Pharoah Ahkenaten was meditating and encountered the light when he decided that the essence of the Creator was the Aten, or Sun Disk. Your friend is 100% correct about love that exceeds our ability to express our experience of it. It is this same love that prompts previously terrible people to abandon their bad ways and to seek to do virtually anything that they can to make amends, to improve, and to become worthy of that love. dave |

I have no memory of the light, but I know what it is.
It is me. |

Thank you Cosmic_Ambitions, can't get enough of that stuff! Must be such impressing to hear your relative talking about his experience! So, good that this post is up again and not lost.
No idea about the formulas- to me physics is physics and nothing else! Mactek this is a healthy perspective, when you see yourself as the light. I just wonder about is there only one light or more? Maybe one is your total self, another one maybe the total self's total self, and so on, and other entities, and finally the one and only light!? Spooky PS Until now I haven't had very strong light experiences, but when I came close to what I thought could be the greater me, I was surrounded with warmth and many spark-like beings flew around me and touched me gently, gave me the feeling there is no need to impress them, or to be polite or anything superficious, just the way I am is ok and they know me more than I myself. |

Thanks for enjoying that story spooky2,
I do like to hear about these types of experiences from relatives, because I've known them since I was a child, and have become very accustomed to the types of people that they are. Therefore, when I hear a story such as this, I can weigh it against the type of person that I've known them to be for SO long, and can base it on a sort of value system... This story to me, is the pinacle of honesty at its best. To other readers, they just have to take my word for it. As Bruce has put it, "Only personal direct experience should change beliefs." (They sure have changed mine.) Regarding "seeing yourself as light", and wondering if there is only one light or more. I saw a show on National Geographic a couple weeks ago about the lost Gospels of Judas (that were apparently thrown out by religious scholars in the days that religion was used to "tame the masses", not teach them. In the Gospels of Judas, he reported what his role "actually" was with respect to Jesus' sacrifice... and that he wasn't the villian, as he's been portrayed as for so long. His role to deceive Jesus was actually predestined. After Jesus had told him what he had to do, Judas didn't want to accept it... In fact, in the end he couldn't cope with what had been predestined for him to do in order for Jesus' example to be brought to fruition/light. (I believe he killed himself from guilt, even though that was the path that was chosen for him.) At any rate, before Jesus was crucified, Judas reported that Jesus had talked to him and told him that he will be one of the brightest stars (lights) in God's kingdom. Judas was apparently very in tune with what Jesus' message actually held in it. Jesus had taken Judas aside and told him about some of the many mysteries of the Kingdom of God... and explained to him things that nobody else was spiritually evolved enough to understand/comprehend. In fact, it was reported that when Jesus walked into the room where some of the apostles were eating supper, he broke out laughing (sense of humor? 8) ). The apostles had been talking/discussing about matters concerning the God that rules over the Earth. Jesus walked in and told them that the God that they've been elaborating on is FAR FAR grander/bigger than what they could possibly imagine "him" to be. -- (Not that they are in the wrong... just misinformed/misguided.) Judas, however, understood Jesus' affirmations on a level unlike the rest. (Hence, the difficult mission.) My point being, however, referring back to the "light"... It is obviously an imperative component to our reality, and seems to be the "measuring stick", so to speak, of spiritual evolution. Kind of like a tangible substance that we can visualize/comprehend. For instance, I could say, "Hey, look spooky2/Mactek... That soul is MASSIVELY wise!" "It's so BRIGHT, it must've been around the block a few times!". "Maybe if I go over to it, I can absorb some of it's cordial wisdom." -- Just my view on it. P.S. You refreshed my memory spooky2, when you wrote: "when I came close to what I thought could be the greater me, I was surrounded with warmth and many spark-like beings flew around me and touched me gently, gave me the feeling there is no need to impress them, or to be polite or anything superficious, just the way I am is ok and they know me more than I myself." I remember now, an experience I had while lying on my couch one sunny afternoon. I experienced slipping into that "Super-Alert-Consciousness" (S.A.C.) Upon my entry, I remember feeling like I was on a soothing rollercoaster surfing in throughout the cosmos. I remember seeing, what appeared to be, a galaxy of stars right in front of me/around me. However, these "stars" had a familiar feeling to me. Very comforting and knowledgable. Like you said, "It gave me a feeling there is no need to impress them, or to be polite or anything superficious, just the way I am is ok and they know me more than I myself". -- (I couldn't've put it better myself.) ;) |

Interesting thoughts Cosmic_Ambitions. I'll look out for the light and yes, maybe it's just in my backyard but I forgot to take my sunglasses off!
A little story: When I first listened to HemiSync in a TMI get-acknowledged-session, it was as if someone had a flashlight and would beam right onto my closed eyes. I asked what it was, but... no flashlight tricks. Spooky |

Greetings spooky2,
Speaking of flashlights being beamed through closed eyelids... Last night I was beginning my meditations and I too experienced this "flashlight through closed eyes phenomenon. Strange that you would write about it a day later! I'm not quite sure what to make of it... On another ocassion I experienced a visual in the 3-D blackness which consisted of, what looked like 2 swirling energy balls in the shape of shrimp... one in each eye... They were very faint, but I was able to make them out in the blackness. Any thought as to what those might be? -- I haven't a clue. PUL, Cosmic_Ambitions |

Also, concerning the light as seen at the end of the tunnel/vortex during most NDE... I was wondering whether this light was the light of the I/There disc, or that of some higher disc, or even that of the highest of high discs/sources? From which level does this light exude as experienced at the moment of permanent physical body discharge?

Greetings,
I've only experienced 2 kinds of light that seemed generated by the body. Probably mentionned them before you were here, 'Cos.' 1)Floating fields of light when my eyes are shut in a dark room that change from gold to white or lavendar and sometimes blue. The first 3 colors are like the design on Bruce's latest Guidebook but i do not see the stems too clearly. Someone told me they were stored up light from daylight and I could rub them out but I can't. They will however change to blue if I focus them above+ toward my 3rd eye and then then become gradually human shapes that act out a brief scene that I find relates to my future or other spiritual questions I have. I believe this light is stored near the 3rd eye area/ gland. I don't know where the presentient content comes from--is it given from an outer source or a part of my higher consciousness? 2)A friend has a photo of her husband during his funeral or visitation. Light was beaming out of his heart chakra with his heart area being the vortex and beams spraying / splaying outward. I have been unable to get the exact time this happened but tradition around here for having the body on display suggest it was about the 3rd day after his death. Does this relate to what you're asking? bets |

Cosmic, I didn't have a near death experience like what you describe, but experiencing being doused with the "purest most unconditional love" is familar to me. I wrote about it in my third book, Voyages into the Afterlife. This Love was 'delivered' by someone who had died that I had known before she died. The experience was completely overwhelming. The longer it went on the more convinced I became that my body was going to literally burst into flames. It was a life changing experience and I've never been the same person since it happened. Remembering that experience that happened almost ten years ago can still bring tears to my eyes. Thanks for sharing your story here on the Converstaion Board :d) Bruce |

Hi Cosmic_Ambitions,
you just had this flashlight on the eyelids thing and I mentioned it a bit later...now, yesterday I visited a friend, and on his computer the media player was running, guess what visualization I saw? Yes, it was this vortex-tunnel one! Cool. Those synchronicities happen sometimes (to some quite often I've heard) with this board and it's members. What light might the NDE light be? When I do retrievals, I often do my "radiate" method, I imaginate that light or bright energy is moving through me to the retrievee. In some cases, it was as if I was used by some helpers to move their energy through me to the retrievee, in one case I witnessed then the retrievee met these helpers, was welcomed and soothed, and was shown the life-movie. Another perspective: I asked for a mind-journey in which I would see both, the physical world and the spiritual world, and I went with high-speed down, and watched spheres of light flying around in a city, each of the lights had a special aim, they were the lights for the people who had died or were dying. So, the NDE lights may be the helpers (they can merge and multiply their lights to one big), or the higher self, but if this light is a universal energy and it is somehow concentrated or directed or transmitted by the helpers you may say all these entities act as gates for the one original light, maybe modified for the particular purpose. In the 3D blackness (I see it with little star-dots, gives it depth) I can see many light appearances when I concentrate on to see that, but it isn't developing to something which makes sense. Greetings Bets! Must try a bit using the 3rd eye area. There are so many techniques and different experiences...quite colorful! Spooky |

Thanks Bruce,
I'm excited/overwhelmed by how much of an impact the experience of the light can be for the lives of those that are touched by it. To be able to elicit tears from shear recollection proves its authenticity and immeasurable grace. I love hearing others' stories whom were touched by the light for it seems to leave a mark on the very essence of their soul... an "unearthly" kind of mark. One that seems to permeate throughout and within. Blessed are those that have bore witness to such grace/ineffable love... (such as yourself). Thanks for sharing/spreading that knowledge and unconditional love to others so that they may in turn, spread/share that love to others as well. Let us all usher in these up and coming Earth changes! ;) -------------------------------------------------------- Hey spooky2, Kind of ironic isn't it! All of these synchronicities... Makes one wonder. Thanks for sharing your thoughts/experiences regarding the light... I also had an experience quite like yours, except mine involved the awareness of being next to the moon in outerspace... I felt as though I/my awareness was hovering there, and off in the distance were 2 distinct balls of light... which I felt to be my guardians of some sort. There was also the awareness of fog like mist encircling the vision... The idea that the helpers can merge their lights into one big light, which may very well be the light that we see at the end of the tunnel, is a welcoming thought. Thanks for your post. Also, regarding your imagination experiments... I have found on numerous ocassion that if I cover my eyes so that no light can get through, hold like that for roughly 2-3 min., then open my eyes, and briefly look out at a bright window, then immediately close them again, shut them closed very tight and cover them with my hands, after about 2 min. or so of staring into the blackness, I will begin to see the EXACT replica of the window that I briefly glimpsed at forming in the blackness... I know that this has something to do with the light receptors in your eyes, however, my experiments aren't necessarily for that phenomenon alone... What I do is I stare at the now forming window taking shape admist the blackness, and if I concentrate on it for long enough, I can make the silhouette of the scenery that I see through the window actually change colors depending on the color that I want to see... This to me is an interesting experiment because it didn't require any sort of drugs, or deep meditation. However, it did require concentration and imagination. Thanks again for your replies, PUL, Cosmic_Ambitions |

Greating Spooky; Universal energy: yes i would agree with you, since we are all part of the whole it makes perfect sense. We are all individual light being part of the One. Can we imagine what kind of energy as a group thoughts we will radiate to this world and others if we really put our mind/thoughts to it, i would say it would be a group acension..!! As for the 3D blackness, i do see those little star-dots too and many light appearances, but nothing really happened when i focus on it don't know why yet, will have to experiment on it more, what normally happened is i just phase out of it and go out for whatever my purpose was for that session. Cosmic, i really enjoy reading your thread, thank you both for sharing. Pull to you With love, Romain |

Hello Cosmic and All,
You asked if anyone had experienced the warmth and love of the light. Yes, I did experience the Light your relative told you about. The whole experience brings tears to my eyes too when I sit and think about it even now 16 years later. We talk about it being the light, and for those who don't remember having experienced it, the first natural inclination would be to compare it to what we have experienced as light here; ie; sunlight. Sunlight seems to shine on us, to warm us, blind us, allow us to see things in this world. The Light on "the other side" is a more immersive experience, more like being immersed in water, but even more than that. The feeling of having no point of separation between you and the Light is one of the most awesome and wonderful aspects of it. You feel the Light in all your being, and you trust it, for you know everything it knows, and everything it knows is an aspect of Love, and you are too. All these things are happening at once, and more. When I want to remember it, to languor in the memory, I often think about being immersed, and it all floods back to me. (Nice how those words worked together.) Anyway, come read my experience if you have the inclination and send me a note on my blog. It should come up if you click on my name. I appreciate the topic. Hugs, Laurie |

Hey Laurie_Immekus,
I appreciate hearing your experiences with the light... Your story was both comforting and inspirational. I also agree with you that the light is beyond human comprehension/description; So immersive, and so multidimensional... I wish you the best with your book. Thanks again for the story! Hi Cosmic ambitions My mother had an experience, her younger sister died in her arms, of breast cancer, she was only 35 yrs old ,on that same night when my mum finally got to sleep ,she said she dreamt she came out of her body and her sister was standing there ,holding her hand out to her .So my mum took her hand and led her towards the light , as they moved further to the light, mum saw her dad holding his hand out to her sister, and her dad told her she must go back as he led her sister into the light, and then she woke up ,mums never forgotten this. I just wanted to add a feeling that I got last night whilst meditating that I wanted to translate into words:
