I read in a Discover Magazine Issue that a virus known now as the mimivirus has been discovered. It is the biggest and most complex virus ever found. These scientists believe that the mimivirus and others (many they say) are responsible for "unintelligent Design." Any thoughts?

Hi MarD,
first of all: The title of your post has given me a good laugh, ha ha! Cool.
I call myself an intellectual, and I've seen recently a documentation about this struggle in Pennsylvania (?) about the evidences for or against "Intelligent Design". You know what? I didn't get the clue what they're talking about! All these "proofs" and "visa proofs"- no no, that's not science anymore that's blabla. If one find this is intelligent ok, if one find it's dumb, well here you go. This is all about belief, taste, wishes, worldview and naive religiousity and I can't find a point in this discussion where a intellectual, scientific exchange of arguments could be based on.

Hey Spooky,
It's actually interesting sometimes to hear the stuff these "praised" scientists like to come up with. I keep an open mind but sometimes, it seems they take advantage of that! :)
