This site and various others related to it offer all the proof i should need and have been searching for. Why, therefore do i doubt? I feel no reassurance, only uncertainty, wild speculation and fear? Why is 99% proof not good enough for me to believe? All the evidence is consistent an solid, yet even with my mundane and secular background, deep inside i do not accept the scientific proof. I want to accept it, I have the greatest desire to accept it, i have had an OBE and visions/dreams that correspond to some of the many described on the site, yet i still, in my heart, i cannot accept the overwhelming proof of the existence of the afterlife. Help me overcome my doubts. Thankyou.

I suspect if you look back at when you first started to look into this and look at where you are now you are probably a lot more certain than you used to be. While you may not have that 100% certainty you do have, in your own words, 99% and thats probably 99% more than you had at one time.

I suspect most people will agree with me when I say that nobody here can provide that last 1% for you, all they can do is guide you in the direction you need to go to get it for yourself.

Perhaps this last vestige of doubt serves you in some way, perhaps gives you a reason to cling to this life in some way that offers you comfort.  It is natural to cling to this life.  We all do.

I suppose it can also be a kind of anxiety which you could rename in your mind as anticipation to see what is next after this life.  

Before going on a long voyage, even if we have been there before, most of us have a little bit of anxiety or fear that something could go wrong.  Maybe the ego saying to itself, "I think this is what happens to OTHER people but will it really happen to ME?"

What I've found is when a soul doesn't want to believe there is an after life, it has more to do with the law of cause and effect than anything else. You see its easier to believe theres nothing, then you don't have to be responsible ,theres know retribution for your actions.

But the truth is there is an after life, like it or not, and all you put out is returned to you.On a higher level the question would be laughed about, I mean its like not believing in your own existence.

I think we all have our own interpretation of what the "truth" is. What is proof to you may not be for me. What is scientifically proven in this decade may be disproven in the next decade. If "proof" is so
prone to convert, then it's no surprise that you are in a quandray. A great example of proof is the following: There are 10 females in a room. The conversation is about giving birth. Five have had easy deliveries, four have had difficult deliveries and long labor and one had never given birth. Nine agree that there is such a thing as conception and birth. None of the nine experienced the exact same conception and delivery.  The tenth can only agree, because she is female and must take the "proof" of the other nine that birth does occur.  Now, a male walks into the room and says, "Until I can conceive a child and give birth, I won't believe any "proof" you show me.
I think I make my point. It is all subjective perspective. I could tell you that I am 100% convinced of Life after Death. Another person may only be 50% convinced. That doesn't make my experiences any more "proof-positive" than the person who is only half convinced.  It's wonderful that you accept 99%. We are human beings who are here to accept lessons on this planet to help with our spiritual growth.  It certainly sounds like you have "Grown in Spirit" immensely--- albeit only 99%.  Love and Light---cat
