Title: message [from pauline best medium] Post by deanna on Apr 1st, 2006 at 3:47pm
Went to my local spiritualist church ,pauline richardson was the medium and she is absolutley brilliant ,she is the best medium i have ever met ,when my dad lay in his coffin i sat with him on my own and i said a lot of things to him and pauline told me in the message things i had said to my dad while he was in his coffin and she could not have possibly known unless my dad told her ,so i knew for sure my dad was talking to her and their is definitley a spirit world and life really does go on. deanna

It is very nice that you had this experience...Sometimes though these mediums know exactly what other people expect to hear...they know it by experience and due to the persons emotional and psychological state...Are you sure these were informations specific to you and your dad and not general things?

Sorry, Vicky, I thought this was the thread, but she contacted her deceased Dad here. Same principle, in the sense of paranormal information, but I'll try to trach down the Grandad thread.

Hi Deanna,
I should preface that I am still somewhat skeptical about their being an afterlife so I ask how do we know that the medium wasn't simply reading your mind? You noted that you had said things to your dad after he passed so it is possible that the medium picked up this info from your mind and not from the deceased. I am still researching and learning about the possibility of consciousness after death so no disrespect implied by my questioning this. |

Hello, I just wanted to share my own experience with you. I lost my dad when I was 14 and that was really traumatic and life changing for me. I did not have a chance to say goodbye as he got sick and died in only 9 hours. I missed him every day and I needed so much to hear from him. I had many readings, always hoping to find someone able to connect with him but without luck. I came accross cold readings, vague messages and even people giving me messages that would fit a British person when I am actually a Spaniard (they did not know I'm from Spain). Finally, last year, on a shop window near my daughter's school in Dartford, England, where I live, I saw this ad for a medium. I went in and booked a reading. I spent the whole week excited, imagining what messages I could get and how I would be touched to hear this or that and how I was going to hear from my dad and my grandmothers whom I loved so much. Basically, if this medium was going to be reading my mind, I was making things easy as pie. The day of the reading arrived and I went to this shop. We sat in a tiny room and the medium asked if she could hold something of mine, so I gave her my chain with a cross that used to be my dad's. The medium said I had 4 people on the other side coming forward, so happy "fighting" with each other, because they all wanted to talk to me. I knew one would be my father and two of my grandmothers would make a total of three but who was the fourth person?. Maybe one of the two babies I miscarried?? but why just one? First I got my dad. He wanted to apologize for leaving me so soon. He said a complete different life was planned for me but his early death changed everything. I was floored by this, from all the things I imagined this is the last thing I expected. He went on to say that I should go back to Spain where I was happy and he saw my smile. He said he did not want to see my tears anymore and to "RUN" from my present life situation. Also he asked me to sort out a health issue that can potentially be life threatening and I am ignoring. I got none of the validation messages I was hoping for but you know what? actually, I believe the things he said were the things he would have said to me if he was alive and we spoke. That really sounded like my dad. I never got any messages from my dear grandmothers either. Even though I was not in Spain when they passed and I wrote a song about one of them. I would have been thrilled to hear that she is aware of the song and she likes it. Also I saw the face of the other grandmother during the C-section I had to deliver my youngest daughter. I was hoping that would come up too but it didn't. Instead I was given June and 57 and they were suppose to be an important date, anniversary even a death. They didn't ring a bell with me. I said my baby daughter was born in June but that wasn't it. Then I thought 57 was the age when my aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer but it was all starting to sound vague again. Then she said someone in my family had been shot but I strongly disagreed. I was even a bit angry and dissapointed inside because I thought I wasted my time and money once again. That night i rang my mum in Spain to tell her about the reading, specially my dad's message. I also mentioned the rest of the information passed on by the medium and then I got the SHOCK of my life. I couldn't believe it, it was so surreal. It turns out my grandfather (father of my mum) who I never met because he died when my mother was 10, was the fourth person trying to speak to me that day. He had died 2 June 1957 when he shot himself cleaning his gun (he was a policeman). I have to admit I did know about him and the way he died from all the times my grandmother told the story but at the time I didn't remember. It didn't register with me because I was expecting my other closer relatives to come through. Someone that I never even met was completely out of the question and out of my mind. Also I did not know the exact day of his death, maybe they told me as a child but it didn't stay with me. Bottom line, I was completely closed to my granddad and anything to do with him. I can safely say there was not a single thought or memory of him in my mind, before or during this reading, and somehow he came through. You can never be 100% sure of anything but one thing I know, if the medium faked the reading, she didn't do it by reading my mind. I hope my experience was helpful. Love and Light to all. Sandra. |

Sandra,
Thanks for sharing this fascinating experience. I have just 3 questions about your interpretation: (1) Your father told you that a different life was planned for you, but that his untimely death changed everything. Did he mean that he himself had plans for you or that God or destiny had other plans for you? (2) Did the medium disclose the presence of your grandmothers or was that just your inference? (3) Apparently only your father was in direct communication with you. So how do you know that your grandfather was present? In other words, might not your father have communicated those details about your grandfather? In any case, you obviously had a paranormally significant session with that medium. Don |
Title: Re: message [from pauline best medium] Post by ottawa1 on Jun 3rd, 2012 at 8:15am Sandra, thanks for sharing. That was an amazing post! The medium's messages were spot on and in some cases you had to validate the info with others as you did not know about things she claimed. For her to be SO specific is incredible. I am wondering how a rational, scientific mind would be able to explain away what you are telling us. Do you recall the name of the medium and whether she has a website? Guessing she may not if she works out of some small shop. |

Sandra, so you have been crying a lot about your life situation prior to visiting the medium and it would be quite the guess on her part to get this right, unless you said something during your meeting which tipped her off to the following. Also, had you been thinking of returning to Spain prior to visiting the medium?:
"He went on to say that I should go back to Spain where I was happy and he saw my smile. He said he did not want to see my tears anymore and to "RUN" from my present life situation." |

Sorry for not having posted all my questions in one post Sandra.
Do you currently have a health issue that you are ignoring? "Also he asked me to sort out a health issue that can potentially be life threatening and I am ignoring." |

Hello Don.
You asked me: (1) Your father told you that a different life was planned for you, but that his untimely death changed everything. Did he mean that he himself had plans for you or that God or destiny had other plans for you? I don't know for sure but both interpretations can be true. My life was on a path and when my dad died, my world turned outside down. I lost my way. I got into a depression and eventually left school. I had a brilliant relationship with my sister but we started fighting because she wouldn't go to the cemetery. Things scalated from there until we stopped talking (for eleven years). And the most significant thing, the relationship with my mother also deteriorated to the point where I was in a living hell and as soon as I was 18 I found a job in New York, US and I left home. I went back to Spain when I was 20 but I couldn't connect anymore with friends and life there so I moved to the UK at age 22 and I have been here for the last 15 years. I know that if my father hadn't died I would have never left school, I'd never leave home at 18 and I probably wouldn't find myself living in another country now. Also I don't think my sister and I would have lost those 11 years. So yes, my father probably had hopes and dreams for me like every father but I also feel the direction of my path, being changed and diverted several times, as a result of his death. Even now, today, I find myself in a soul destroying relationship with my partner of 11 years. I can't be myself and my dreams have been crashed. I have seen people in this kind of situation and their family's help and support saved them. My poor family relationships mean I am alone, but my dad would have saved me years ago. I know. (2) Did the medium disclose the presence of your grandmothers or was that just your inference? No the medium did not tell me about my grandmothers being there. I was the one to assume, because together with my dad, they are the only people I lost in my life. (3) Apparently only your father was in direct communication with you. So how do you know that your grandfather was present? In other words, might not your father have communicated those details about your grandfather? In any case, you obviously had a paranormally significant session with that medium. I have no way of knowing if my father was in fact the one providing the information but I think it is unlikely. He could have maybe talked about his own father 'cos I never got to meet him either and he would want to bring him through but he didn't. Why talk about his father in law to me? Someone neither of us knew. I believe my grandfather was trying to come through but I was completely closed to the possibility. I kept disregarding everything the medium said. If I had recognized any of the information then maybe the medium would have had a message to pass from him. I will never know now. Sandra. |

Thanks for the clarifications, Sandra. The fact that the channeling had to overcome your preconceptions makes the session unusually impressive to me. So does your ability to distinguish the facts of what was actually said from the inferences you drew. By the way, the inferences you drew strike me as quite reasonable under the circumstances. I dearly hope you can now find a place and network of people that truly nourish you soul.

Hi Ottawa1,
You said: Quote:
Her name was Nicky. She lived in Herne Bay but used to come to this Hairdressers in Stone, Dartford a couple of times a week for readings. The last time I checked she wasn't working there anymore and I asked them to pass my number to her. I never heard anything back, possibly because they didn't end up in good terms. However, if you want to try your luck, this is the hairdressers address and phone number. Guys N Dolls 44 London Road Stone Dartford Kent DA2 6DJ Telephone: +44 1322 272 330 You also said Quote:
I'm very aware of cold readers and fake mediums fishing for information so I don't talk unless they ask me something. I let them do the talking. However my present situation has been my life for 11 years now and whether i had been crying or not it could be easily picked up by a mind reader, I agree I think it was my father only because it felt that way. Back in 2006 I had a reading with Jon C Fox, channeling Hilarion. One of my questions was about my father. I wanted to know if he had a message for me. Jon C Fox then changed his voice and pretended to channel my father. I never bought that It didn't sound like my father, he didn't talk like my father and the message was completely meaningless. Most people would buy it because it's Jon C Fox and Hilarion but it didn't feel right so I don't. Who knows? Maybe I'm wrong, maybe my local medium was no better but it felt different. It felt right. The Spain part could have been guessed too. If you have been away from your country for some time is only natural to miss it and think of going back one day... And finally you said: Quote:
Yes I do. Sorry but I don't want to comment further on this Sandra |

Sandra,
Thank you for posting that message. There were important and interesting verifications there for you. I myself always wonder why, when earthly memories fade after death, that specific numbers come up all the time from mediums. But because our conscious mind may have access to information that is sort of "inscribed" in the weave of the universe, perhaps it is sort of a way for a deceased spirit to communicate, pull up information into the living medium, if you will. In some instances, we have to wonder whether the medium is pulling up these "library records" themselves. As to your message from your dad - it felt right, and therefore I would take from it what you can. You are interested in spiritual matters. What could be more truly important than that, even if he did have other plans for you? But perhaps reconciling with friends and family still may be in the cards for you. The message of love and hope that we hear from afterlife explorers seems to lend credence to the idea that we can make choices in thought and action, to improve our situation. Either way, you shared an important channeling experience and I thank you for it. Best, Matthew |
