Im afraid, in this mortal coil... no higher being will help you, you must survive by yourself, find your own answers, and use your own strength. |

I think you under estimate your own strength deanna, theres nothing to fear, except fear itself. In this mortal coil, we exist for a mear flash - fill your life with things you enjoy... and things which make you happy, and if theres nothing after, you wont be around to fear it... and if there is, chill out and take in the new reality which you find yourself in. |

Theres more to existance, then quoting some dead chaps words from 2000 years ago.. If you truely wish to believe god sends down undying love.. you would be wise to seek out this information yourself, instead of relying upon someone else's words. |

Hi Spitfire Your just doing what im doing ,your saying what you beleive in and im saying what i beleive in . I loved to hear the storys of jesus and god when i was at school . i just feel that i dont want to beleive this is all there is . i beleive that im going somewhere better than this when i die . Its what makes life bearable sometimes . God loves me for what i am and feeling that makes me think its worth all the miserys of life sometimes . Im not saying i would like to die but i want to go somewhere better than this one day .
Iknow you dont beleive in God spitfire but i do and i always will . We have all got our own feelings and our own thoughts about everything . I admit i was not around 2000 yrs ago but i still beleive that jesus existed .This is just me saying what i beleive and i cant prove that god exists no more than you can prove he does not exist. I just feel in my heart my love for god. Bless you juditha |
Title: A Small Observation... Post by Chumley on Apr 1st, 2006 at 7:47am
I think that both Spit and myself wouldn't mind at ALL that some folks think "God" is going to give them a big carrot after they die, if they are "faithful."
That is, if there wasn't a big STICK promised to those who chose NOT to have "faith" in words penned long ago by men who were (socially and technologically) one or two steps above CAVEMEN. Ever heard a Buddhist or a Hindu say you're going to "Hell" if you're not a Hindu or Buddhist? No, you haven't. Now I follow neither one of those religions, BUT I don't knock them either (unlike Christianity.) Why? They don't rely on "carrot-and-stick", that's why. (And if there WERE a universal creator, do you really think he'd stoop to threatening non-believers in "his" existence, using only hard-to-understand, interpretation-intensive poems and parables in a questionably-translated, dusty, musty, rigor-mortised old book? Come ON now...) B-man |

Hi Chumley i dont want a carrot when i die i just want to be at peace. Its full of love in the spirit world . Some people who have NDEs mention they have spent time with god or have seen him or felt his presence. Idont think that God turns his back even if you dont beleive. My dad did not beleive in God before he died but a medium told me and deanna that dad was telling us to keep our faith in god . hes changed his mind since hes been in the spirit world.
We will all find out whats whats when we cross over to the other side. We will all know everything there. until then we are spirits on this earth learning all we can about life . God bless juditha |

Its not only our faith in GOD which is tested ,its faith in human nature sometimes ,and that can be even harder than testing your faith in God sometimes . God bless juditha

I'm not religious but have a guide who has told me he was an early Christian. I call him DP which stands for dead preacher, and we joke around a lot and he is very kind to put up with my sarocasm.
faith he says, can move mountains, if you have faith you will not sink beneath the waters. but faith is not trusting in outside forces, but is gained through the experiencing of this earth plane. therefore it does not come cheaply and it is very powerful. about having faith in mankind: I read A Course In Miracles and I teach it in my way. one affirmation given in this book is "I trust my brothers who are one with me." yea, right, I told DP. gimmee a break! but the thing is we are a collective humanity, dependent on one another for survival here even, but trust? I didn't understand that one. then I found out we all have a voice, and if I could trust my voice, enough to speak about my beliefs, it was also promoting trust in mankind to do so. so u trust yourself first, then along comes faith with experience as you see nothing is going wrong here excepting that we see something going wrong, yet it remains a mere perception. Peace in heaven is like not a location, or a time, it is a state of mind attainable here on Earth. DP says, and I am in agreement we can establish the kingdom here on Earth through our state of mind. therefore, do not wait for peace to come. bring it here into the now moment. Spitfire is very wise underneath his young years to say we must be strong and do what it is we truly enjoy doing, not waiting for things to come to us. then Albert here gave me some words. Unmerited grace is like unmerited favor. but it doesn't come just for the asking. DP says prepare a place for grace to enter by emptying the vessel of doubt and vain thoughts and holding your cup very high to be filled..as life, and life in abundance is all you could ever really desire. if you look deeply into a baby's eyes, it will tell you this secret. |
