Hello.

I wanted to ask if you believe that there are 'earthly pleasures' in the afterlife? I do, and if I understood right, according to the author of this site there will be, as I believe.

Actually by word 'believe' I mean something like 'would want to be true', not that I have seen a prophecy of that it would be that way.

By earthly pleasure I do not mean dangerous drugs or one night stands and stuff that are graded sin by fundamentalists, but more like good food, coffee, maybe even a tasty cigar and stuff. And not that it would be just enjoying of it all the time like vikings in Valhalla, actually I think the afterlife to be much like living in this life, only without anything evil. So those 'earthly pleasures' are - I think - consumed not all the time but every now and then like in this world.

My biggest dream is that after I die, I get to live the perfect life in a perfect, physical-like world. In a world that is much like this one, but as I said all the evil would be absent, people wouldn't get badly ill and wouldn't suffer starvation. There would also be jobs to get money, that's because that way I don't get too greedy, lazy and I would keep my meekness alive.

So this post rambled to this and that but I hope that and my class B English doesn't bother you. And as this is only my second post to this forum, I may introduce myself by saying that I'm 17 and from Finland and came here by a strong fear of death which is actually now gone, thanks to this site and Edgar Cayce (whose books I have read recently).

You can live any way you want to in the afterlife. However, remember that we are still growing there and after awhile something will nudge you to continue your journey. ;-)

You can have anything you desire in the afterlife. However, as Marilyn points out, we're evolving, and eventually playing with things that were fun as a young person gets to be boring and we seek things of greater value. A typical transition is from the hippie who starts with drugs and winds up doing yoga instead.

In general, those who get attached to mundane pleasures soon discover that they have become earthbound. An example is alcoholics, druggies, voyeurs, and so on.
