The book touches almost anything you'd want
to know about hypnosis, its uses and misuses,
how amnesiac blocks are working and installed,
etc. etc.
I strongly recommend reading this book before
getting involved with hypnosis.

Hypnosis is Powerful  and should be taken carefully -  I suggest listening to the excersises,  and evaluating them before actually doing them..  to see if you want to take that step.

I appreciate the caution that you are advising,   but please realise that Bruces exercises,   The Monroe Institute CD's(Hemisync)  Holosync -- ALL put you into a state similar to hypnosis...
