i,ve met lots of mediums over the last 5 years and some are very good but then you get some what are not so good , its the same in all walks of life their is good and bad with everything so you cant say every medium is a fake just because you come across one at some time in your life deanna

99.9% are just bums, blood sucking vampires who feed off your grief. They dont have any real talents, so to feel special they get there kicks off people thanking them for supposedly communicating with there dead relatives. look out for the 0.1%, gordon smith etc, who really can say things to which they would have no knowledge, and be sure to home in on the detail. Good and bad days should'nt apply to psychics, because all they are doing is listening for voices - i watch tv everyday and yes sometimes it hurts my eyes, but i can still tell you what im watching. |

Spit how can u say that 0.1% of mediums are ok. Have you ever met every single person that claims to have mediumship skills? Therefore whilst I accept your opinion on the subject I just feel that it is very narrow-minded and I don't think that it is fair to trash the 99.9% of them. This subject unfortunately is far too complex to divide into percentages.
I have seen many a medium, who give their services for FREE, and if you saw these mediums I honestly think you will be flabbergasted at their incredible accuracy. |

I can tell the vast majority are fake because, few of them can stand up in a scientific experiment. Recently theres a tv show in the uk, were 6 psychics were chosen from 2000. these were ment to be the best of those 2000 - and they cant even tell which 2 woman are pregnant out of 10, were as normal people guessed more right. It's easy to get sucked in by psychics, and im sure they probley delude themselves into thinking they have ability's. If i asked you what colour a seagul was, you would say white? have you seen every seagul? or do you just work from the knowledge you have access to?. Have you ever seen darren brown? you would probley think he's the best psychic ever, but he just use's knowledge of people to get infomation which he bounce's off you and adds upon it. most psychics use the same rule book, manipulation and aduptation. They take advantage of something which should'nt be taken advantage of, and they should be slapped. |

i can honestly say there is life after death ie seen the proof with my own eyes some mediums are fakes and some are very genuine ive sat in circle at my spiritulist church and ive had very accurate messages and im not a fully fledged medium yet ie read your opinions spitfire and you should really see a genuine medium and when you do dont tell him anything let him tell you because if hes genuine he will tell you lots of things you will be surprised with the result my dad proved to me that life exists after death and it does beleive me god bless juditha

But Spit if you are completely thick enough to believe that Darren Brown is a psychic , which i honestly don't, then you deserve to be scammed. Now that you mentioned him, It again makes me weary as he quite readily decieved those students with that live ouija board shindig.
But I still think it is unfair to compare honest mediums to magicians. I actually feel very sorry for mediums like Gordon Smith and a few others who are genuine and have these no-marks ruining their honest reputation. |

Darren brown, is one kickass psychic impersonater, he gave readings to a full room before - they were completely sucked in. He also converterd a load of athiests into born again christians using nothing but a few mind tricks. Just like most other importent human questions, scammers go and abuse it for money reasons, problem with psychics is - they are not tested and not regulated, they have free reign upon peoples grief, it's like a doctor going around a hospital offing terminally ill paitents a miracle pill - taking there cash and leaving them to die, If a psychic is truely skilled, they will smash through the stero type image, and there skills alone, will not only give them plenty in terms of material possesions - but will also bring alot of happyness to other people. Those willing to be tested, are those you should put your faith in - they are worth putting your faith in - because at least they belive in themselves. Any psychic who wont meet the challenge is classified as a fraud, until a time when they get some courage/give up there con tricks. |

True, but the Spiritualist church over here in the UK has a well known council or register that either approves or dissapproves mediums but it's own problem is it does'nt have ENOUGH authority on the area as it simply cannot regulate every single tom , dick or harry that claims to be a medium. For the good old politicians to be interested in this area means that mediums would have to give the burocrats some kind of material profit (e.g. Bush & oil). In other words there is no huge financial incentive for the government to take a more hands on role. They could introduce a medium tax lol! btw a very interesting medium worth investigating is Helen Duncan, who is now dead. |
