WOW I'm still quite shaken up about it all even though it happened last night.
I've never had any proper proof of my consciousness and my body being two separate things, until last night that is.
I have been going to sleep every night listening to this self-hypnosis CD.
Not only I find it works at feeding the right suggestions to my subconscious mind but also, as totally unrelated side effects, I feel it tapping into the psychic side of my brain as well as solving my life long sleep problems.
Well if that wasn't already good enough last night as I listened to the CD my mind sort of wandered off a bit and then under my partner's snoring I heard this strange breathing sound near me.
For like a few seconds I was scared until I realised the breathing was my own!!!!! :o
The shock brought me back from the trance and I had no chance to check whether I was out of my body or what?
I remember in one of Bruce's books he tells of an experience he had at TMI with the Hemy Sync, where he thought it wasn't working and then he heard himself snoring.
I'd like to think something similar to that happened to me.
It's not much but it's the first thing I get to experience myself and I am over the moon. I can't get over it. I'm gobsmacked. I was conscious while my body was asleep WOW
In momments like this I wish I knew how to do summersalts...ha ;D

sounds promising! I too have this, hear me snoring, and when I realize it often my awareness snaps back into my body. Similar to when you're having a daydream or very concentrated planning something, and then suddenly an important urgent date comes into your mind and you get a sort of little shock and are pulled out of the your previous mental locale. The clue is to break the automatism. I watched carefully what exactly happens when I got those liitle shocks or rapid shifts in the consciousness phase. It's always a compression/pressure in the solarplexus area. So I practised to not feel it, to imagine to be of an airy substance and nothing can touch me (the "keep cool" attitude), instead all affects are going THROUGH me, works for me (though not to the extent of a full blown OoBE so far).

I know it's not an easy thing to achieve so I'm not expecting detailed explorations from the start. But now that I have experienced a tiny bit, it will give me the motivation and the patience that I need.

hi sunrisecaios i to had an experience after going tothe spiritulist church for 2 weeks  as i was waking up in the morning i could hear people whispering in my ear i thought it was my husband but when i looked round he was still asleep and i couldnt undrestand so i told the medium at the church and he said it was spirit communicating with me and next time to say to them can you talk a bit slower so i can understand what your saying but its not happened anymore yet god bless juditha
