Title: Help! I need reassurace on the afterlife
Post by MattS74 on Jan 17th, 2006 at 11:35am
I've been thinking about this for two weeks, and it's driving me crazy. I might be asking too much, but I could really use some proof on the afterlife (personal experiences and anything else you can think of I guess). I've also been thinking of going to see a medium so I can get in touch with loved ones who have passed on. If anyone can recommend any good mediums, that would be great. Please help, like I said I've been a mess about this for the last two weeks.

Hiya welcome,

No one can prove it too you which is a downside but furthur along your journey your'll see its really an upside. As for stories I'm sure people here are willing to share loads but the internet also has loads of evidence, specially NDE's are enjoyable to read for me anyway, because the person experienced it themselves.

On finding a medium I'm not sure but what area are you looking in? Do you want to physically visit, if not then I do know one who comes here also but has her own site but not sure about her services.

Ryan

Any help would be welcome at this point, including personal stories from people on this forum.

I'm in the Northeast, but I'd really like to find a good medium who can have a session with me over the phone, or even online through AIM or email, if that's even possible. If you know a medium like this, that would be great.

Like I said, any information about the afterlife or mediums is greatly appreciated.

Hi and welcome

Have you read any of Bruce's books?

There are several intersting links at the top of the page. Don't overlook the Newsletter Archive and the Retrieval Archive.

Then try reading some of the other forums here. Exploration and dreams. Also, you might like to check out the links forum...or maybe it says other websites.

Lots to read here!

Hi,I had a friend who was dieing of cancer,I went to his home to see him,and to not worry if there is life after death, because there is life after death. He said I will just have to wait and see.Not to long after I talked to him,he died.3 days after this,I was laying on my bed wide awake.I closed my eyes and saw a light coming toward me.The light opened, and there he was all dressed up and smiling as if to say,you were right.Yes there is life after death.I have seen many people who have died. They come to me to prove that we live on when we pass on after death.Hope this helps.Love George

Hi Matt

I went throught the exact same thing as you, I suddenly developed a morbid fear of death out of nowhere.

Victor Zammits site is breathtaking with its evidence of the afterlife and it helped me to find this forum

Keep on searching the net for answers , you will be literally amazed in what comes up

peace and try not to worry! Seek & you will find.

Hi Matts, two weeks is nowhere near enough to give to such a deep, intensely thought-provoking subject. Why do you 'need' to know? Have you exhausted all the possible avenues of gaining and sifting knowledge that are open to you?

This was the way things were put to me many years ago when I began to look seriously into this way of thinking.
It seems we must earn anything we may be given, so what would you consider to be absolute proof?

The proof I would like is communication with someone who has passed on, but that might be asking too much. The reason I need to know is because it's driving me crazy, I mean sick to my stomach and I want to know. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Here are websites that will help you understand more about the afterlife:

www.astralvoyage.com/projection/index.html

I hope that helps. :) :)

Matts, I understand your feeling of urgency, which you say is of recent origin.

May I suggest to you, based on this, that someone now passed over is trying to reach you, possibly to awaken / stimulate/ your innate abilities?

They must have some connection to yourself and are likely to have been 'over' some time.

A calm clear mind is perhaps the best possession in being aware of received communication, best when the everyday consciousness is quiescent - such as on wakening or just before sleep - the in-between phase. Try to notice your thoughts at these times - keep a notepad handy, because communication is outwith ourself and therefore fades very rapidly.

Of course, we can 'send' communication fairly easily as our thoughts, etc., are readily received, but we doubt this.
Patience is a must, though.

That is very very true. I had recent bout of this just before I was about to go to bed one night. (dont you think its weird there are so many Matts on this board?) The whole wave of fear and soul searching led me to do something Ive never done and try to get a validation of a mental image I got from a deceased family member during that night.

The validation came true, and the family members who validated it got a lot of comfort from it as it was a time where they were looking for something like that to reassure them due to an illness in the family(I didnt know it would mean so much to them and to my shame admit that my only desire,at the time, was to get the validation to satisfy my own need for it). A number of weird things happened the day after "I planned to pass on the message" including my work building blacking out for 2 hours from the time I got a message on my phone of the validation.  In fact that whole episode is why I am back on these boards.

;D

Wow!

I had exactly the same experience with my grandpa who is now passed over.  I was lying waiting to sleep when I heard a DISTINCT Scottish voice (my Grandpa Jack was Scottish)  I evedn picked up the particular tones of his voice and passed the details on to my mum who later verified my experience.
I could not of possibly known what his voice sounded like as he passed away 2 years before I was born.  There are no videos or sound recordings of him, only photos. How does a skeptic describe that?

I do get this feeling that I should talk to some professional about this. I really would like to go to see a medium. I want to have a session with George Anderson, but I don't have the $1200 to spend for it. I emailed his director's office yesterday asking if we could work something out so that he would talk to me over the phone for a few minutes, but they haven't responded yet. If anyone knows any other good, reputable mediums that can conduct a session over the phone it would be greatly appreciated.

Matts, could you leave that one with me?
Probably via the wee messenger, if that's ok with yourself.
There will be no charge.

Matt:

You might try Linn Conyers. I had a reading with her with good results. When you talk to her she seems sincere and doesn't make things up. She also doesn't charge $1,200 an hour, or some other ridiculous fee that some mediums charge. You can do the reading by phone.

Here's her site.

 Throwing in my 1 cent...

I haven't had a reading with Linn yet, but she strikes me as a very sincere and gifted sensitive.  She is also pretty reasonable, especially compared to a lot of the 'famous' folks out there!

I'm thinking about having a reading, and i'll let you know how it goes Matt.

Peace and appreciation,
Justin
