Title: Creating things in the spirit world Post by george stone on Jan 10th, 2006 at 2:26pm
I have heard that we can create anything we want when we pass into spirit. If this is the case, would we be able to create a person who we love in this life?.Love George

You can create anything you want to in the non-physical world. The only limit is your imagination. However, if you create a person from your memories of them, they will not be the same person you love in the physical world, only a simulacrum. Akin to having the Real Doll people in the physical world build you a copy of a person who is no longer with you. Both can seem very realistic, but neither is the person they represent. And neither of them is particularly healthy for you. |

This is a difficult thing to know. But yeah, I tend to think that we can't create a perfectly simulated spirit/presence, so that would not be a healthy situation. If we could - we would not know what was real or what was illusion.

If you've ever read the psychic John Edward's book, called One Last Time, he makes it sound like we lucid dream after we die. All of his closest spirit world experiences were lucid dream experiences with his crossed over family members. In a lucid dream, you can meet other astral bodies (or spirits), create objects with your mind, fly across the sky, ect. When lucidy is high, one can do all of those things just as conscious as in physical life, walking around on the ground with their astral body. The word lucid means you have full consciousness, and another word for lucid is translucent or transparent.

Hi George-
Actually, the spirit world is just like this one except that there are no boundaries, so we can do more stuff. As a spirit you lack the ability to touch in the same way as here, which might be a problem, and of course she'd evaporate when you forgot about her. You can create you dream lover in your imagination if you like, right here and now. I used to have friends who did that on a more or less regular basis. It was one of those games they played with themselves, so to say. dave |

Hey,
Yeah you can do what you want, even in Lucid dreams and OBE's you can to a certain extent depending on your control and abilitie to handel the situation. On creating another person you can create a shell i believe that will act the same way as what you knew them to as much as you knew them if that makes sense. They wouldn't oviously be the real person and like said before as soon as you forgot about them they are gone into you "imagined" them again. Ryan |

Actually, Jambo, I get the strong impression that when your body finally drops off, a heck of a lot of hangups drop off with it, including the presumed need to have physical interactions. In their place we can bypass the separation between us and those whom we love and meet them, providing only that we do so in the common spiritual space of our collective God-Nature.
You certainly can continue doing what you do now, as many earthbound spirits do in order to continue use of alcohol, drugs, the experience of strong negative emotions lke hatred of someone, or the sense that you are obligated to do thus and such. Do you recall Bruce's example of the guy driving the tank? or the drowning man who drowned for better than 100 years clinging to his chip of wood? It sems that there are options for improvement as we leave this world. dave |

Whoah dave man! I ain't into that rubbish! I mean the things that I enjoy such as sports, music, socialising etc. etc. Not robbing, drug-taking or anything of that negative nature! Can we do the things that help create positive vibrations? Such as helping friends and just doing happy stuff?

George, your question is touching the hollow-heaven-problem. So, when a suicide bomber believes strongly that he/she gets a direct ride to heaven, I say this is true. Now, many will say "What? This is unbelievable." Yeah, but the second thing is, they just get what they believe, literally, if they have no imaginations of compassion, love and understanding, they will not get it. Instead, they will get their puppet virgins and a hollow God shell until they realize that this is not what they want to so that they can move on- when they've changed their minds.

Hi Jambo-
As Spooky said, more or less, it's what we are attached to. You can be attached to drugs, to the feeling that you were insufficiently loving of a friend who needed you, that football is the ultimate lifestyle, that you want to protect others etc. The point is not the specific kind of attachment that hooks us, but the fact of any attachment whatsoever. The state of nirvana is the state of "snuffing out" attachment. Then all that's left is the God-Self. That's why people like Edgar Cayce called it "Co-Creators with God". But that's the long term aspect, in the short term after death we seem to carry on very much a we are doing here. A couple days back I had a woman who was into flying and spent most of the time haunting the tree tops. I've had a lot of other who reported partying with friends. d |

As far as I can determine, the next phase of our life offers greater opportunities for expression and creating, but is still limited.
Of course, we can only reap as we have sown, so limitations will be individually earned. as will abilities and freedoms. |

Thats good I guess my PS2 won't be needed lol
Deanna what other things have the good people at the spiritualist church said about the afterlife and its descriptions? because I'm very interested in all aspects of spiritualism and like to hear other peoples experiences. :) |
Title: Re: Creating things in the spirit world Post by spooky2 on Jan 15th, 2006 at 9:12pm
Deanna, yes I think it's right what you heard. Now, the point is what do you REALLY WANT to enjoy? If one can do whatever one wants, then you really start thinking what the heck do I want?!

Does everyone know what non-physical means?
to say the spirit world and afterlife has physical attributes shows the greatest problem with these ideas. When you are dead, you are not holding a sense of smell, sight, touch, taste, hearing, or thinking. you do not percieve physical manifestations. An astral body is a physical manifestation. We percieve physically while alive, and we translate things like dreams and imagination into a physical manifestation. But When you are dead you are not holding these physical senses. You are shedding them. BUT, you may hold onto physical imagery during that temporary proccess of transition from physical to non-physical. But once the transition is complete, you are no longer 'physical' and holding a physical projection. But all throughout history, especially egyptians...one translation is they are into believing that they need their material in the afterlife. That they need their physical possessions, because they will be in a physical afterlife. Now, is this idea correct? our conceptions of heaven or the spirit world are mostly visualized and imagined in physical yet loftier resemblence to this world. Physical attempts to describe the afterlife. Try to describe a non-physical existence without being physical in the description. Thats why no-one understands death and spirit. Because its very difficult to comprehend non-physical existence. |

Basically, the astral body and dream body is probably the same thing. So what we see in the afterlife, is probably imagination. I have, however, astral projected by accident many times, and saw other 'starry' beings with my astral vision on... I guess God or Nature put those starry beings on the astral plane to live there. On the astral plane, or higher astral planes, the energy looks starry or sparkles. As for afterlife/Heaven buildings and houses, perhapes they are completely different to anything we know about today. Centuries ago people thought the earth was flat... than they were proved wrong. It's like in lucid dreams... we aren't doing it psychically, but it's happening anyway non-psychically. |

Hey P.A.,
I tried picturing all these places that you created as a whole, and I must admit I liked what I saw. Sort of reminds me of my house...early eclectic! :P So what's wrong with eclectic? Why not create all of them, each adjoing the other, in one place? I am guessing here that each one of the places holds some interest for you or else why would you have created them? From what I call tell, this area is certainly vast enough to do this and to keep adding on or subtracting as one wishes. I have been thinking about doing this myself. Who knows what I will end up with, but enough diversity should keep it interesting and hopefully to provide a "something for everyone" type of place that visitors, deceased or not, might enjoy visiting. ;D Thanks for the "reminder" and the inspiration, P.A. |

hi jambo at the spiritualist church you learn so many things ,one paticular time we had a medium on and the medium said that two spirit dogs had come through and honestly and truly jambo i heard these dogs running round as plain as day i was even surprised with myself when i heard them it was quite an experience i even heard these spirit dogs panting as well ,also i sat in circle one evening and we all closed our eyes and we had to be very quiet then all of a sudden i heard footsteps like somebody walking in between each one of us i must admit i was a bit frightened but then i thought if i want to be a medium i have got to be braver i mean i had already seen my dad and my aunty in spirit and i wasnt frightened then but then i realised the reason i was frightened of the footsteps because i didnt know this person from spirit i have had someone holding my hand when i,m in bed ,not every night but some nights i woke one time and saw someone at the end of my bed i,ve had spirit talking in my ear as well ,all this i,ve told you jambo is all true may god be my witness deanna

Yes, Deanna, I see. I like to think he knows how much you love him, and when you just give him a hug in your mind, it could help you.
