Alysia, I just love the Oak Ridge Boys.  I don't know if the Oak Ridge Boys were the singing voices of  Santa and the reindeer, but if not, that quartet was just as good.  I loved your, uh, card!?

santa sounds like Perry Como to me! maybe the reindeer are the Oak Ridge Boys? tinkled me too, I'm into those kind of harmonies. love, alysia

your welcome Petrus, actually, thats why I put it up, for just a smile so I'm satisfied!

now, I'd like to sing a song for all  who might happen to be on this thread for whatever reason. god, I wish I was on stage again! I used to do a bit of that awhile back so I'll just have to use the ol imagination here..thank god I still have an imagination! lol! I forget the tune...but I'm mostly a lyrics person anyway..so here goes, my wishes for everyone anywhere and anytime: I'm pretty sure Dylan wrote this..Judy Collins sang it or Joan Baez. if I'm wrong, I welcome correction.

Sisters of Mercy
Oh the sisters of mercy they are not departed or gone
they were waiting for me when I thought that I just can't go on
they brought me their comfort and later they brought me their song
oh I hope u run into them, u who've been traveling so long

yes u who must leave everything that u cannot control
it begins with your family and soon comes down to your soul
I've been where you're hanging, I think I can see where you're pinned
when you're not feeling holy, your lonliness says you have sinned

they lay down beside me, I made my confession to them
they touched both my eyes and I touched the dew on their hems
if your life is a leaf that the seasons tear off and condemn
they will bind you with love that is graceful and green as a stem

when I left they were sleeping, I hope you run into them soon
don't turn on the light, they can read your address by the moon
it won't make me jealous to learn they have sweetened your night
we weren't lovers like that and besides, it would still be all right

hope this day is a smoochfest and lovey dovey family time that spreads across the world! we are still riding the wave..
love, alysia

Alysia, it was written by Leonard Cohen, one of my favorite poets, writers and singers.

Love, Mairlyn ;-)

thanks Mair, I was thinking that very same thing today, that it was Cohen and he is also very big on my list of best writers too!

love ya, alysia
