Title: When Pigs Fly :) Post by blink on Nov 28th, 2005 at 4:37pm
Everyone knows that pigs can't fly....
If you were at your job (assuming you have one) when you looked out of the window (assuming you have one) at a pig flying by what would you do? What would you say? Would you continue your meeting because pigs can’t fly…! If you were flying in an airplane when you looked out over the wing at a pig flying by what would you do? What would you say? Would you look back down at your novel and mark your place carefully because pigs can’t fly, especially at that altitude! If you were sailing on a boat when you looked up from the deck at a pig flying by what would you do? What would you say? Would you steer away from the sun because pigs can’t fly, especially that far out to sea! If you were lying on your bed when you had to blink your eyes at a pig flying by what would you do? What would you say? Would you fall asleep anyway because pigs can’t fly, only in your dreams…! with amusement at my ability to entertain myself if no one else, blink :) |

I wonder if a sow is happy in mud? ;D
at the same time, a man can levitate by becoming very meditative, however, a pig does not necessarily engage in meditation, especially if pleasure is found in the mud bath... just joining u crazies out here merrily..row row row yer boat gently down the stream, life is but a dream... |

Gee, Rob,
not my pig... I just saw something fly by... what do you think is the "wind beneath its wings"...? Alysia, mudbaths are wonderful, so I've been told.... blink :) |

this is nice, it breaks the ice, and does entice and adds spice, or maybe just lice? and we the sheep, all in a heap, heads butting the wall, but we tried to give it our all but pigs were flying into the wall and up so high with the cow over the moon, but wait, it must end soon? is anyone to blame for feeling shame? nah, soon we'll have no name, no name, no name.
somebody put me out of my misery quick. :-X |

Blink:
You might be onto something. Check out this AP news wire: There has recently been an influx of reports of flying pigs. Their sudden occurence is as curious as the appearance of crop circles. Reliable sources report that the U.S. Government's word has become so unreliable, they now have no choice but to inform the public that authentic UFO sightings have been made. Plans for preemptive strikes against the rest of the solar system are in the works. In response, aliens have started to disguise their flying saucers as flying pigs. Their advanced intellects realize that the U.S. Government would have no choice but to deny reports of flying pigs. When President W heard of the flying pigs, he immediately requested to be taken to a secret hideaway. He was quoted to say: "It's one thing to have a bird poop on you're head, but a flying pig, thats ridiculous." This might seem like an overeaction, but how else would you expect a voracious pig eater such as the president to respond? If a flying pig were to have any target in mind, it would be the President's head. Hopefully for a change, with enough gravity based velocity behind it, something will make it through his thick skull. |

Recoverer (Albert),
Just in on CNN World News: Hurricane weather data gatherers tracking the latest storm of the season, Hurricane Epsilon, have noticed a strange phenomenon over the Atlantic today... The report is that flying pigs are beginning to create an unusual formation in the eye forming over the ocean. So far we are unable to determine the meaning, if any! Stay tuned for more late breaking news on your weather channel. :) |

Golly Blink:
I always thought I'd watch FOX News instead of CNN News only when pigs fly, so I guess I'm now obligated to do so. :'( wrote on Nov 29th, 2005 at 3:31pm:

A few years ago, when I was broke and John was still paying child support, we couldn't afford to get married, but his brother kept hassling him about it. So I told him to tell his brother that he would love to , but I had told him that I would marry him when pig-sicles flew out of hell. If that meteorological anomaly ever occurs, I'm going to blame it on John, where ever he may be!

"Hey, Ma, look what I got!"
"Honey, what is that...? I told you, didn't I, sweets aren't good for you." "But I like it! It's a pigsickle!" "A what? A pigsickle! What is a pigsickle and who gave it to you, Honey?" "It's a pigsickle from Hell, Ma!" "Oh my god, what was that thing flying by? Give me that pigsickle, or whatever it is! What WAS that? Oh my god, it looked like a...flying pig, didn't it, Honey?" "Oh, Maaaaah, what are you talking about? Pigs don't fly! Everyone knows that!" :) P.S. I'm sorry for your loss, Cricket, but hope these flying pigs made you smile... |
Title: Re: When Pigs Fly :) Post by blink on Nov 30th, 2005 at 12:35am
How many flying pigs does it take
to screw in a lightbulb? Just one. The one who knows a tiny little hoof from a tiny curly tail! (The other twenty five or thirty just fly around to tell it to put the old lightbulb where the sun don't shine...) :) |
Title: Re: When Pigs Fly :) Post by blink on Nov 30th, 2005 at 8:42am

I'm ONLY telling you this because I'm your FRIEND.... I really love you JUST the way you ARE...) :) And THAT's the end of our show this week folks! See you next time, and hope you have enjoyed it! Keep watching for those flying pigs everyone!! |
Title: Re: When Pigs Fly :) Post by laffingrain on Nov 30th, 2005 at 10:26am
ROFL!!!!hold on there suave jester of the universe I have a question of concern:
hmm. I wonder if I'm counting 50 pigs that fly by, will I be done with my raspberry filled chocolate cake by the time they fly by? for instance nobody has asked this question yet of the velocity of a flying pig, and I think it's important! I guess it would depend on how much the pig weighs? so if u saw a fat pig and crumbs falling off it as it flew by just wondering if u would shoot me out of the sky or just wave me on by.... :-* after all, it is not every day one is allowed to observe a pig which flys and multi tasks at same time... Riddle: how many pigs can dance on the end of a pin? give up? 50. love yer pig thread Blink! |
Title: Re: When Pigs Fly :) Post by Cricket on Nov 30th, 2005 at 12:43pm
Thanks blink...flying pigs always make me smile (they're sort of a motif around here...stuffed and on posters, etc.)
I have actually sat and considered this seriously (no, really, I do that sometimes...;>). Try to really get your head around the feelings you'd have if a flying pig actually came by (with wings, not flung out of a catapult or something.) A bunch of other people see it, you pinch yourself, nope, not dreaming, in short, no way to say "No way!"...what sort of jolt would that be to your brain? And what would it do to all the other "things we know for a fact"? Sometimes I have way too much time on my hands (not that I don't have things I should be doing with it, just that I'm not doing them). |
Title: Re: When Pigs Fly :) Post by blink on Nov 30th, 2005 at 1:09pm
Sorry Cricket,
Now I AM picturing a pig flung out of a catapult AND THERE'S NOTHING I CAN DO TO STOP IT!!!!!! SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!! Is there a retriever in the house? Alysia, May I have this dance? Flying pigs sure have rhythm don't they... maybe it's the pinheads that gave them those dancing lessons... :) |
Title: Re: When Pigs Fly :) Post by laffingrain on Nov 30th, 2005 at 2:29pm
Blink, there is some retrievers here.. however, surely you don't want to retrieve a flying pig? because we all know if the pig can fly, surely it wouldn't want an escort service? I have to meditate on that...
well, I really must deliver up my final word on the subject of flying pigs otherwise my analyst will want to see this thread.. Blink, we already been dancing on this thread just begging to get axed maybe...but I tell you, I'll never feel quite the same about things that fly and them that don't. will u be my guru? :-* well, if not can u still do the hully gulli? mashed potatoes? or the wa tu si is good too. much love and laughter here! |
