Title: Indigo Children Post by Bud_S on Nov 21st, 2005 at 10:42am
So, I'm sitting here watching GMA and Sawyer is interviewing this family who has these psychic kids. This is pretty cool, and obviously these kids are better connected than your average kid (although I think most kids of a young-ish age are connected but don't get much chance to express). However, I have an issue with people like this going on TV, as I do with so-called pyschics going on TV. I think maybe the human need to please and appease overrides everything and when the host trys to get someone to perform, they do their best and of course fail or make something up. As interviews with pyschic humans go, this one didn't go too bad, but in general, I don't think TV is a good way to spread the word. The host/interviewer is always expecting parlor tricks and the vibe isn't that conducive at all to learning anything new. In fact it probably will get these kids some harrassed at school because they "think they're better than everyone else."
So what is the best way to demonstrate evolution of consciousness? These children believe they have something to teach people. How do they do it so people come to their own realization w/o just being told or amazed by a trick? There is no way for this to happen in just a few lifetimes. I can see why we've been working on it for so long and why it will take much longer. |

This is a “problem” as old as humanity.
There have always been such individuals. Only in the last few years have they been termed “Indigo children” or more recently “Crystal children” or the New age “Starseeds“ (all the same idea) They always end up being marginalized in some way. I think this explains some of the frustration and outbursts you encounter on the bard from timed to time. |

Ah, I'm showing my ignorance. So this is a new version of an old theme. Well, I certainly understand why children stop talking about experiences they have and then stop having them. I used to be able to see auras, and I haven't seen one in years after I got all grown up. Just not a poplular thing to go around telling people. Maybe I was a starseed? heh heh. One that got fed too much manure and not enough water! |

I find that I have quite a few of the symptoms of the Indigo Children but when I was born, I came in uncertain of my origins.

Hi Steve and all,
I have had more than a few people call me an "indigo", and while i appreciate what they mean by it, and while i do believe the whole indigo thing has its relative truth, my current approach is, "so what?" For me, its just another ego trap because it can potentially set up an attitude of separation from others. I have enough ego traps and tendencies as it is without thinking of myself like that. Of course we are all different and unique, much like a snowflake or a finger print, but does it do any good to concentrate on our differences and uniqueness? This has been emphasized a lot in the Earth system.. Still, mentally i do find this stuff interesting, as you seem to too, and i don't think there is anything wrong with wanting to understand this stuff. I want to understand it, and relate it to other stuff... For example, a lot of the indigo traits that are commonly described really fit the bill of someone having a powerful Uranus energy indicated in their chart, and to a lesser degree Neptune, and Pluto. People with powerful attunements to the outer planets (tend to be rebels of some sort, tend to be psychic, etc.) have always been around, but like SO said, they tend to get "marginalized" a lot. You seem to have a really good mind, with a lot of innate gifts and abilities. But, as i ask myself oft, what is my ideal? Without an ideal of some kind, even us older Souls can get really sidetracked and tossed to and throw on the ocean of life... An ideal is like a strong rudder, which can help us steer down our path. Sometimes when we feel insecure, feel lonely, feel small, feel powerless, we grab onto a belief which emphasizes our differences, and separates us, but in the long run, it just makes us feel the above more intensely. Peace |

Good call, these labels can get confusing and we need to note that these labels do not imply superiority. In fact, in many ways I am just like every other human being.
The point of the website is to teach people that without exception, they have the ability to explore the afterlife in some fassion or another. |

Yeah, i think it is basically a new version on an old theme. The only real difference is that there does seem to be a higher percentage of mature souls with many innate and developed abilities coming in, than in recent past cycles. Hey, if you used to see auras as a kid, you would probably be able to pick it up pretty easily and/or quickly again, if you wanted to? If not actually seeing them (which i rarely do), then sensing--interpreting them like through Bruce's imaginational method. I think in 50, or a 100 years from now, many, many people will be able to see or know the radiation from others... And we won't get fooled again (politically and otherwise) ;D to borrow from The Who. Too right mate! :) For myself, its a fine line i walk of having self respect, and being authentically "myself", knowing where i am on the path, or feeling somehow special, and set apart from others. Since we all have ego, we all teeter totter between the two at some point (for some, its more unconscious), but thats where self honesty comes into play in our spiritual development...and i don't believe there is anything wrong with stating certain things about yourself. For example: Bruce Moen, and how in his 3rd book he talks about being part of Bob Monroes Disk, etc. And him relating that C.W.'s told him he played a part in turning the tables a bit from some extreme Earth changes, etc. People that don't really know too much about Bruce, might think thats just sheer arrogance or delusion, and why should he even mention this stuff? But, my feeling is is that there was a larger lesson involved for others, and thats why he shared it. Or take Bob Monroe, in one of his explorations, he realized and stated that he had a pattern of being a pioneer and explorer of sorts for others (both his Disk and others). This is what i meant when i was talking about false humility verse real humility earlier. There is no reason for a soul to hide its light, there is no lack of growth in that, but when a soul emphasizes its light at the expense of others light, then it seems to become a spiritual hindrance. And its a fine line, so fine that some on a spiritual path just choose not to go there at all, or they are balancing other life patterns of over-emphasizing that, or their self-importance subconscious "issues". My "last life", i actually under emphasized, and was steeped in "false humility", and now this personality is trying to balance this, and realize that its ok to "shine". In short, this other personality cared too much about what others thought of it, and he wanted to fit in sooo much. Some people mistake silence, passiveness, and being reserved for true humility, much as my other life self did. Yet, it can just be another illusion... I went through this briefly in childhood, and now i realize that it doesn't matter what others perceive, think, or dislike (or even like) about me.... I still need to be authentically myself, yet with the balance of knowing we are all One and in the absolute reality--equal (in the relativistic reality, we are all in different stages, and some are closer to Source because of their self choices and developement). This gets me into some trouble occasionally, and these are testings from my Total Self... Can he stay strong and sure in his purpose, and yet not be arrogant and domineering? I know only the Creative Forces, and my Total Self can truly answer this fully, and accurately without filters. |
