Title: Possible synchronicity of some kind Post by Petrus on Nov 20th, 2005 at 1:58am
Hey everyone,
Had the idea inexplicably a day or two ago to download an mp3 which I'm finding particularly appropriate at the moment. The Tide is Turning, by Roger Waters. I've been listening to it several times since I downloaded it. It feels...different...somehow, to any other music I've ever heard. It's supposed to be a live recording, and for some reason every time I listen to it, it actually feels as though it's still being sung somewhere. There is also a point near the end of the song where the chorus is sung by what sounds like a choir...and I've found myself having the odd impression that during some times when it's been sung...including the time when it was sung live...that there were actually angels/spirits singing as part of the chorus, which has a tendency to bring tears to my eyes. |

that's pretty interesting. I wish it would have the same effect on everyone that hears it, even though I sort of doubt it.
I recall years ago hearing some pianist tell David Frost that when he played "Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring" that it felt like it was a song that was just happening "out there" and when he started to play it, he sort of picked it up in the middle, so to speak, and then he played it, and then when he finished, it just moved on happening "out there" ...that it was continuously playing. Nice image. This thread reminded me of a thread someone else started a while back: http://www.afterlife-knowledge.com/cgi-afterlife-knowledge/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=afterlife_knowledge;action=display;num=1119243615;start=0#0 |
