My wife came up with this suguestion on gays some years ago.Just say a man dies,and has the life review,then decides he wants to come back the next life as a woman.My wife says that it takes 3 incarnations for a man to become a hetrosexual,and like wise to become a woman.So we have the first life as a homo,next the bisexual and then the woman or the man.does this make sinse?George

I think you're right on except for the order. For me, a hetrosexual woman this time around, I believe that the goal is to no longer need the sex divisions of male/female to learn that this is an artificial way to learn we are all one and neither male nor female but both or neither.  My bias is that the gay individual is a step ahead of heteros in not only the courage it takes to buck mainstream norms but also to bring the rest of us up to the realization that being male or female is an ok variation for gender orientation but it is not superiour over non-hetero orientation or any other orientation sexual or other wise.  Just some of my initial thoughts on this topic.

George, the reason I said no is that each life choice has to do with what is needed to be learned in the upcoming lifetime. I know that I have been gay as a man and as a woman in many lifetimes and that I have been straight as both male and female in many lifetimes.

I'm happy for this post as now I can say this.
   I think I was born as a chimera. I have the marcations that I have seen on the Discovery Health show "I Am My Own Twin". I have a division line from my belly button straight down. Ever since I can remember, I wanted to be a girl but couldn't figure out why. That show opened up my awareness to the fact that I am actually both male and female. Since then, I have been overwelmed with happyness.

I think one's gender and what sort of sex one engages in makes for a entertaining distraction in the physical world at most.  I can't think of anything more physical than this, and wonder if it has anything at all to do with spiritual personality other than making a filter for processing the world.  If the physical world weren't so exciting and engaging though, why would we bother coming back?  

We have the luxury to ponder the importance (or lack thereof) of sexual orientation.  Perhaps a dirt poor Asian contemplates how many iterations it takes to actually make it to a life that allows him to eat regularly.  If we were really clever in the afterlife, we'd choose to be one of the majority of people in the world who don't have a computer and live a miseralbe life.  Probably learn more.  Maybe that's why we'll always have poor people.... basically you're standing there in your afterlife, in the amusement park, looking at the "poor guy roller coaster," or the "rich guy aerial tram."  One is exciting and over quickly, the other is enjoyable and less exciting, but slower.  In this life I usually ride the roller coaster till my head spins, but occasionally the tram to get some recovery time.  I must be on the tram, enjoying the view....

Ralph, I am very happy for you. I wish I had seen that show on Discovery. Perhaps it will repeat.

This condition does have it's ups and downs, like a rollercoaster ride. It drives my wife crazy. She loves the male half of me, not the female. We work out a sort of compromise and so far have survived 13 happy years of marriage. I want a sex change very much but cannot unless we divorce. So I just have to deal with our arrangement. I don't know if I planned this to happen before birth, or if it's just an accident. I think most likely just an accident.

George, I disagree.  There shouldn't be anything wrong with being gay or bisexual, so there should be no reason to have several lifetimes to work your way up to being a man or a woman.  That doesn't make sense to me.  

I truely believe we come into each life exactly how we planned it.

And Ralph, I wish I had seen that show too.  I'll have to watch for it, because I don't really understand I guess.  If you feel comfortable, why would you want so badly to change?  I mean, don't we all really have both male and female sides to us?

I saw that television show.  I share your joy in your discovery! How wonderful for you to find a reasonable explanation for the questions you must have always asked about yourself.  This day and age is much different than the one in which I was raised.  No one told me about so many things which I had no way of understanding.  

To be oneself, to be happy and proud of one's individuality, wherever one is on the spectrum, is a gift which we should always continue to share with each other and future generations.  No one should doubt their "selves" and their loves.  It is all a continuum, and what makes us who we are.  Bravo to you.

 I've read and believe that some of the early humans during ancient civiliazations like Atlantis and Lemuria (both destroyed or recycled) were quite literally androgynous physically.

 This was because they were equally balanced between masculine (active, expanding) and feminine (passive, contracting) expressions of energy.

 Being so advanced spiritually, their bodies reflected this balance...  Also since these cycles were less dense and faster vibrationally than now, so more fluid and malleable than what we currently call the "physical"....

 I believe that many of these came in from other systems to help with the changes then, and the huge problem of "vibrational stuckness", and i believe they are referred to in the Bible as the "Sons of God"...  These also had amazing abilities compared to us humans now, except for those occasional superhuman type that Monroe, Cayce, and others have mentioned.

 Its seems that many of the very spiritually advanced E.T. races also retain this androgynous state physically (though on a faster octave than our physical energies).....

 God bless you and your uniqueness, this may be a physical indication (a sign) of deep inner spirituality brought over from many lives.

 Cayce's Source talked a lot about "marks" in the body, and said these often were spiritually significant.  

 And there is an interesting story (at least to me) of the Ancient Egypt and a spiritual leader/teacher named Ra who had all of the people associated with him "marked" on an energetic etheric level, which then translated into the physical...

This mark would stay with them for the rest of their lives (from a future time reference i imagine), reminding them of their Oneness of purpose with this channel, and each mark was unique to the individual representing a certain deep Soul trait or pattern.

For example,  some were marked in the eyes, representing either the great vision of the Entity in some cases, or the short sightedness of the Enitity--particularly in that incarnation...

 Reincarnation researchers have observed that many carry marks which represent strong karmic experience/memories from another life.

Like one little boy who called himself a different name than what his family gave him, talked very vulgar with a lot of profanity, said he was shot in the head, etc.   His family found the person this boy was talking about, and interestingly the little boy had a birth mark right where this other personality had been shot (in the head), murdered.

Thanks  to all for all of the support and good information. Actually I do feel more androgynous than anything else. I see my conditon as a huge benefit in my life. During meditations, I can sometimes shift awareness to both the animal and plant kingdoms. I can also actively explore the etheric plane while simultaneosly mainting C1 physical awareness. In dreams I can telepathically commune with animals. Sometimes I feel that I am actually an alien to human existence and just came here to try out a human lifetime.
