Something for you written from my heart:

Love is where we will meet
Between banks of a rushing river.
We cannot hear the other,
The force of the river so loud.
Despite the rush of the water
And the safety of solid shores
We step from the edges together
And walk to the chaos midway.
It takes longer to meet than we imagined
And our struggles have cost us a stumble.
Between the banks gleams the rock
Which is shifting in size to greet us,
but there we stand upright together
and reach toward each other’s pure souls.

As we stand here we suddenly remember
That this meeting has lasted forever,
There is no resting place anywhere
Aside from our moments together.
Our hearts soften as we recognize
This Reality without Judgement.
Fear was the only obstacle
But we have faced it together.
Here we have full disclosure
And freedom to step ever back
To a beginning which ever begins,
And understanding which ever departs.
Love requires no promise from us.
It lives in the depths of our hearts.
It carries us through our emotions
To the safe place:
Together
We start.
