Title: Questions from Old 'Newbie' (Who Feels Kinda' Stuc
Post by Nancy4 on Oct 18th, 2005 at 2:41pm
Hi, Everyone...I wasn't sure where to post questions, so I hope this is okay.

I've actually returned here after about 5, 6 years. Back then, I was ready to die (End Stage Liver Disease/Cirrhosis-from Hepatitis C, contracted over 20 yrs earlier). I was looking forward to it, except for worries about my then-20 yr old daughter.
To my surprise, I received a liver transplant in May, 2001. By October, I knew I'd need a 2nd transplant. Four years of complications, hospitalizations, chronic pain from conditions worsened by anti-rejection drugs..I see no point in another transplant, would rather give someone else a chance.  I had thought I would discover what I'd left undone during this lifetime (according to my pre-birth contract with my Self), and finally feel I'd fulfilled my 'potential,' contributed, but the past four years haven't worked out that way.

I originally read Bob Monroe's 1st book in '72.  I've never experienced an OBE, although my reading and experiences have covered a broad range of teachings from which I gained many of the answers I originally sought.  I couldn't afford any of TMI's programs, (choices I made after college and in the 70's kind of locked me in), and I always wished the Monroe Institute would issue tapes specifically geared toward having an OOBE.  I recently discovered they finally have, saved the money, but am faced with a dilemma:

I can either purchase 'Journeys out of the Body' from TMI...or I can buy Bruce Moen's book and CD's.
I've been hesitating, undecided, for almost 2 weeks.  Which should I buy FIRST?  I'll eventually buy both, but I really could use opinions on which to get first. :-/

I have a few other questions, but I'll save them for another post.

  Thanks :)   Nancy B  (ViaParadox)

I would suggest you buy "Ultimate Journey". A later book by robert monroe, it contains the best points of his other 2 books, + some very intresting things which he found out, about the earth and his own destiny.

Hey Nancy B,

First of all what do you actually want to achieve? What are your goals. You mentioned going OBE...is this your only goal.

Just wondering because it could sway depending on what you want...

Hi Nancy-
Bruce's books are specifically directed toward the topic of rescuing souls that are kinda stuck halfway between this world and the next due to attachments etc.  I suggest that before you buy his CD set that you read a couple of his books describing the type of rescue work he does. If that turns you on, then by all means give the CDs a try. I thought they were pretty good, personally.

Nancy,

Based on what I think are the probabilities
of success, Bruce's book w/ or w/o his
CD's is the best bet.

You see, not everyone responds to the Hemi-sync
sounds right off the bat. For some it could take
months of work. I bought the "Journeys out of the Body" CD set, but was unimpressed with
the one method fits all mentality. Also, it doesn't
have enough guidance for a novice.

Bruce's book on the other hand, teaches you
a multitude of techniques which are valuable
not just for afterlife exploration, but also
for meditation and communication with guidance.
My sense from people who used Bruce's technique, the success rate seems to be pretty
high.  Maybe it has to do with the emphasis
on retrievals or maybe it has to do with breaking
down the barriers that we all set up to block
nonphysical perception.

One caveat is that Bruce's technique is not
going to directly lead to the classic OBE state. If you're after that, I'd recommend for example, the free e-book by Robert Peterson http://www.robertpeterson.org/ - which has a whole list of techniques, some of which,
may help.

Everyone responds differently to different techniques. So don't give up hope if one
method doesn't work.
