Perhaps they chose not to remember for some reason before coming back?
I'm not sure, but it could be something like sometimes we remember our dreams and other times we don't.. |

Perhaps near death happen for reasons other than near death experiences. Some people have them and it's appropriate for them to have an NDE, and for some people it isn't the time.
You could probably say the same thing for other things. Some people take psychelic drugs and become interested in spirituality, while others just want to party some more. |

George,
Most clinically dead people do not report NDEs. You raise one of the issues that creates problems for the survival argument. One suggestion is that the energy body is more loosely connected to the physical body of some people. But in that case, people who have NDEs should have had more OBEs than the normal population. I know of no research that supports this inference. Might most of the clinically dead have NDEs but simply not recall them? Cardiologist Maurice Rawlings found that roughly half of his patients reported hellish NDEs during attempts to resuscitate them. Later these NDEs were erased from their memories. The suppression of hellish memories is one of Rawlings' explanation for why other researchers report fewer hellish NDEs. His other reason is that many who had hellish NDEs would no doubt be too ashamed to report them. But did all the clinically dead who reported no NDEs have hellish NDEs, the memory of which was suppressed? I doubt it. Perhaps, an attempt should be made to see if clinically dead people with no NDEs were also poorer at recalling their dreams. if they were, suppressed memory might be the explanation. But, George, I suspect we'll never know the answer to your question in our lifetime. Don |

Hey,
Yeah i think sometimes recall, sometimes dismissing the experience because lack of belief of it prehaps??? I do strongly believe though sometimes people don't have NDE's purly based on the circumstances, maybe it would interfer with their lesson in this life? mainly it would be detremental to them. For example if someone had a life lesson to go though life not believing there was anything after we die, maybe they had to had a life of being skeptical, this was their lesson, well part off then having an NDE/OBE would destroy their purpose of this life and would have to do it again. Always after an NDE an spiritual transformation takes place and the life direction changes so that one can become a tool for God on earth.
I just think that everything is for a reason I think God decides who should or shouldn't have an NDE. There are some jobs that need to be done and God find the right candidates for them. The theory about forgetting could also be right since the mind tends to block things that hurt us and an experience of hell must be really unpleasant . Peace, Love and Light. Sandra. |

From all I've read about NDE's and people who have them, many do not remember them until weeks, sometimes months, sometimes years later. I believe that the experience shows up in a person's consciousness at the appropriate time for the soul's progression. Just my 2 cents anyway. ;-)

if it showed up in the future, in my opinion i wouldnt believe it. i dont knwo why i would have to wake up there and then to experience it, if i remember two yuears later it wouldnt seem real. Maybe this is my old self talking but if i ever did i wouldlike to remember as soon as i woke up...

There are many reasons, why a soul may not recall there time out of body in a near death experience, just as there are many reasons why souls, don't recall what takes place each night when they travel the astral plane.
I would think the number one reason is, the soul is not ready to recall such information and there for the higher self/over-soul holds back the recall. When a soul is locked deep within the physical and believes in the illusion! that there is nothing else, then it maybe to much for the entity to endure, as all its beliefs would have to be questioned and this may not be the purpose of the incarnation at hand. |

As a worker in the mental health field, if I had an NDE, I can think of some pretty darn good reasons why I wouldn't tell anyone about it beyond the reason that no one would believe me.
The sooner thinking changes in the psycho/medical world/model, the more straight stories we'll have from those who have experienced NDE's. Simular to trying to answer how many people are gay. Meanwhile, it's a good point brought out by LightR_on concering not remembering the experience. Bruce sometimes calls this clicking out. He reminds us that we never really loss the information that we may not be receptive to at this time, it can be retreived later. Good questions-the ones we have no one to ask. Jean :-* |
