Title: Afterlife Wonders?
Post by magicbullet86 on Aug 24th, 2005 at 10:43am
Hey folks!

My name is Luke, this is my first post here.

Just wondering about the many glorious things that can be done in the Afterlife?

Has anyone seen the film What Dreams May Come? I think that this is a pretty accurate portrayal of the Afterlife.

Can we fly in the Afterlife?

Please reveal what wonders you reakon awaits us in the Afterlife.

Many thanks,

- Luke

Welcome Luke.  Yes, I've seen What Dreams May Come several times. It is a fairly accurate portrayal of the afterlife in many respects.

Yes, one can fly in the afterlife. We can do anything we desire in the afterlife. Think it and you're there or it happens, etc.  The best way for you to find out is to find out for yourself by exploring it yourself. There's nothing like first hand experience to actually KNOW what it is like. ;-)

Love, Mairlyn ;-)

hi there and welcome. I highly recommend reading Bruce Moen's books as it starts you down the road of your own explorations which you can do, as Bruce teaches classes on this and has people doing it on the first day! cool huh? I also recommend to go here http://www.skyhero.com  for some great descriptions from the author Cozzolino of layers of consciousness listed as seven and to get a brief idea of the activity of each of these overlapping layers. it was helpful to me to get an idea, however, Bruce Moen's writings and this website is where I got a lot of questions answered that I had, that I think you have also. happy exploring!

oh yes "what Dreams May Come" with Robin Williams? I was so surprised to see a retrieval being done on TV. yes indeed, loved it, but it's not exactly like that in every case as we are individuals and follow many journeys within experience here or there.

I think most people here who have projected/had OBE's have flown when out there which is like/is the afterlife, well part of it we can visit.

I remember the first time i flew when i had projected, a truly amazing experience!!

welcome to the board btw, have you had many experiences in OBE? spirits? contact?

what brought you here?

Ryan

There is another book that describes 'life' in the afterlife very well too....it's called: My Dream of Heaven

Thanks for all your comments!  :)

I've always been fascinated with all things mystical due to being a Piscean. 8)

I would like to have an OBE but fear seems to be getting the better of me.

I've heard stories about people trying to have an OBE, biting off more than they can chew and becoming mentally-unstable because of it.

This scares me!  :P

I'd rather have a spontaneous OBE... I'd be more comfortable with that.

Have any of you guys been able to fly around your local neighbourhood?  :)

- Luke

I've never heard of anyone becoming mentally unstable from an oobe..do you have any links to such happenings?

And..welcome to the board. :D

Thanks!

I don't have any links I'm afraid... I heard it on the grapevine, as it were.

Hello Magicbullet!! Happy to see you here too!!
I've never had a willing OBE, one that I have set out to try to have....I've had some experiences while being asleep and I always thought that they were just wild dreams...really wild. However, with the lasting impression that they would leave on me, I knew in the back of my mind that they were different than normal dreams somehow.
In was in a discussion or 2 with Alysia here, that she opened up some 'light' on them and helped me to understand that they were most likely OBE experiences...........
.........and so now,  :P, on with the experience!! If these are actually OBE's that I've had, then I can tell you that I have been around my neighbourhood....and, 'around the block'  ;D a few times.....and, to places that I couldn't communicate with people because I couldn't understand their language. I've even been to space and observed our earth from way up there....and I tell ya, it is a beautiful looking planet from up there! Much more vivid and awesome than what any pictures can show!
Many times while in a dream, I have felt myself leave my body, as in dying, and it was a scary experience for me during those times, because I thought I was actually dying! And the real fear was in....omg, what if I can't get back into my body!!  :o
In one of those experiences, I was shown a beautiful forest, meadow and crystal lake in Heaven...or in the afterlife somewhere....another time I was just above the power lines and looking down at my crashed car...(I think this was actually a prenomition)..and then floating back home to try to explain to my daughters that I would always be there for them, even if they couldn't see me....
In many other experiences, or in dreams, I would be trying to jump high into the air....keep jumping, trying to get higher and higher with each 'leap up' ( I love to fly in my dreams.....it is a really neat feeling).....one time I had been leaping upwards several times, getting frustrated because I couldn't go high enough and then suddenly I heard a popping sound as I leaped upwards and then holy cow...I ended up in some unknown place on the globe....it was just some little smokey ass town somewhere, completely laid back....and darn it, I couldn't talk to anyone to find out where the by Jesus I was because I didn't know the language of all things! I couldn't read the signs, nothing. It wasn't a comforting experience in the sense that I felt lost and not able to find out where I was.....but then in this life here, I get lost pretty darn easy... :P, as in yesterday, trying to find a friend at some address....quite simple instructions, yet I get lost on the same street, not once but 3 times. ok.
As far as travelling around the neighbourhood....yes, and seeing all things in daily life or night happen as they would. I never went into people's homes...just 'took a walk thru' the neighbourhood' so to speak. And, I usually did it by taking leaps into the air (sounds funny I know!)...or by taking a run and a jump at it to get airborne!! (hahahaha!!)
And as I said earlier in this blab, I once thought they were all just wild and crazy dreams....but appearently not, it seems to be the real deal.
Hope this helps to shed some light in your learning!! ;)

oh yeah....and about being becoming mentally unstable from having an obe....I have heard those kinds of comments too...and there are people who actually believe that. I was visiting a forum a few months back...I believe it was : the Black Vault...(a ufo place) and in their conversation board somehwhere, people were having a conversation on obe's.....someone wanted to learn how to have them and others piped up that you can become unstable from it if you aren't previously grounded in yourself.....and others were saying that you have to be somewhat unstable in order to have these experiences to start with......and  the 'warnings' that these people give to others who want to have them?? Geeze...more warnings that a pack of smokes has these days.
Rather than get into an immediate conflict with these people over their misconceptions and beliefs, I just left the site. Whatever. I certainly wouldn't think of myself as being unstable....and, after being here on this board now for a few months or so, I don't believe for a minute that anyone here who has obe's is unstable either.....
People tend to label experiences and such with these kinds of tags or labels when they can't explain them....things that are unknown or unusual suddenly get these tags.....UNSTABLE.
It's like ghosts.....people don't understand them..so they are immediately freaked out by seeing one......
any way...off I go to another post!!!  ;D

Welcome, Luke,

Nice to meet you here.  I am new to this "exploration" site too, but I suspect you can learn to visit "over there" in the afterlife and see some amazing things there yourself.  I think flying is definitely on the agenda.  Whatever you can imagine may just be possible there.

love, blink

Title: Flying?
Post by Brendan on Aug 27th, 2005 at 1:05am
Flying might be pretty neat the first couple of days,
but after a couple of weeks, I think it would be about
as exciting as taking the subway in New York.
Also, if you want to fly NOW, might I suggest hang-gliding? There's the element of DANGER there
which is a big part of why hang-gliding (or skydiving!) is so addictive... to flirt with death, to get the adrenaline rush, yada yada...
But if it was PERFECTLY SAFE (as it would be in the afterlife, assuming it exists) it would get pretty dull pretty fast.
Now me, there's something ELSE starting with "F" that I'd hope would be in the afterlife, but most people would tell me "NO." But that's my big concern, not yours.
Just (another!) of my $0.02,

B-man

Well Brendan, there is a place in the afterlife near the earth plane where you just might fit in and enjoy it for awhile, but I think that after a couple weeks, you might be bored with it too.  And that is the 'sex pile' that Robert Monroe talks about in his books, nothing but writhing bodies so addicted to sex that they're trying to capture it again. There's your F for you.  ::)

Have a Happy Afterlife, Mairtreya  ;D

I will not fear
Fear is the mindkiller,
Fear is the little death
That brings total Oblivion
I will permit my fear to pass
Over me and through me
And where it has gone
I will turn the inner eye
Nothing will be there
Only I will remain.

... and a word for B-(wo)man:

I hope you will finally end up in afterlife (or anywhere else) and leave us alone...

hahaha

:P
