Title: Symptoms of Inner Peace
Post by blink on Aug 19th, 2005 at 3:23pm
I ran across this today and thought I'd share it with you if you haven't seen it before, or even if you have:

SYMPTOMS OF INNER PEACE
by Saskia Davis

Be on the lookout for symptoms of inner peace. The hearts of a great many have already been exposed to inner peace, and it is possible that people everywhere could come down with it in epidemic proportions. This could pose a serious threat to what has, up to now, been a fairly stable condition of conflict in the World.
Some signs and symptoms of inner peace:

A tendency to think and act spontaneously rather than on fears, based on past experiences.
An unmistakable ability to enjoy each moment.
A loss of interest in judging other people.
A loss of interest in interpreting the actions of others.
A loss of interest in conflict.
A loss of the ability to worry. (This is a very serious symptom).
Frequent, overwhelming episodes of appreciation.
Contented feelings of connectedness with others and nature.
Frequent attacks of smiling.
An increasing tendency to let things happen, rather than make them happen.
An increased susceptibility to the love extended by others, as well as the uncontrollable urge to extend it.

WARNING: If you have some or all of the above symptoms, please be advised that your condition of inner peace may be so far advanced as to not be curable. If you are exposed to anyone exhibiting any of these symptoms, remain exposed only at your own risk.

love to all, blink

Blink,

I love this list; it was given to me a while back on a little card encased in plastic that I could put in my wallet.  I’d also like to add Bulman’s list of Transformative Qualities Resulting From OBE’s [or using Bruce’s methods/CD’s and/or Monroe’s]:

1)Increased respect for life

2)Expansive self-concept extending beyond the physical

3)Increased spiritual connection

4)Reduced hostility and violence

5)Greater awareness of reality

6)Increase interest in a personal search for knowledge and wisdom

7)Increases self-respect and sense of responsibility

8)Personal verification of immortality

9)Expanded awareness of our interconnection with others

10)Dramatic psychological changes due to potential encounters with spiritual beings, loved ones, or guides.

I think that the purpose of this board is to access all of these things through a quicker and less complicated ways than they had in the old days and to be available to anyone who is motivated.

Love to all, Jean :-*

I can relate to Buhlman's list Jean. I used to get his newsletters in my mail about his experiences in I think China. very funny things happen to him.
now that list of those points about sums it up that was exactly my journey and exactly what has happened. although, you know, I shall have to expand on such a short list in my own words...ha ha! my god, will I ever stop talking? ;D

Yes, Jean, thank you.  Your list and description describes what I seek and continually find from many of those in this forum, and from the readings encouraged by exploring this website, along with books written by Mr. Moen and others.

Hi folks,

I’ve taken a MH day for myself after having a kick a**s day Monday at work. Whew! :P

Actually it was Boris’ referrals to Bulman’s site that reminded of his book The Secret of the Soul.  I re-read it and realized what a great overview he had of the afterlife exploration and benefits of using altered consciousness to do it.  This list was sandwiched between two wonderful experiences of prisoners who followed Bulman’s OBE instructions. One while in a N.Y. Correctional Facility, found himself in a beautiful field and the other, Maryland Correctional Facility, in a battlefield, but in both cases they were changed forever in their attitudes towards life and the cycles they had chosen which had included violence in addition to the realization that there is more to life than this physical plane of existence ;D.

The book also included a brief history of all the explorers throughout time who practiced altered conscious/OBE methods starting with the Egyptians on through and including Monroe’s.  Kinda’ put it all in perspective for me and allows me to further integrate the “knowing” that I’m on the right track for me personally and so are the many others, in this time and day, who are practicing ways to become more aware of what all is out there by going within.

Bulman had another section in his book that listed all of the various methods used throughout history starting with his inner motion techniques, to meditative practices, and visualization techniques.  Then listing the ancient ones including fasting, drumming, Shamanic Techniques, and some others before going on to alternative modern techniques other than his inner motion methods.  This is where he listed binaural beat technology like Monroe’s hemi-sync tapes, light, sound machines, and other aids of our modern world technology and summed up his list with progressive relaxation, hypnosis, Chakra Techniques and a few others in this category.

But what really impressed me was my realization that Bruce had put together such a simple, inexpensive, non-time consuming package that would merely take a person of average intelligence, average psychological stability, trust in their imagination, a normal bit of courage, and some curiosity and motivation to gather the evidence that there’s more out there than what we see, feel, and here in C1 just by reading the Guide book and listening to a few CD’s 8) ::) ;) ;D.  And as you guys know, that’s all I did to have my knowing expanded, to meet a few guides, be of service to a poor lady who was stuck, and to gain back a little girl (me) who had fractured off during a difficult part of my childhood.

Of course, as we explore and gain knowledge, we can each expand and clarify Bulman’s list.  In fact, I had a hard time resisting.  But I remember that Bruce, Monroe, and my first husband, as engineers, follows the “KISS”  :-*;) approach in their intentions when developing a new design and I’m hoping to emulate them more when communicating but it’s not easy for a wordy person like myself.

Anywhooo, Love to all, Jean  :-*

Have a wonderful MH day, Jean!  That's a very comprehensive list of inner exploration tools for people, all out there for anyone who wants to try them.  Thanks for you optimism and encouragement!

was re-reading this thread to appreciate it again. the subject matter is speading peace idea. I am reminded again of ACIM (a course in miracles) when I first read it, I didn'nt really know what I wanted out of life, until it told me what I wanted; simply peace of mind. it struck me, well, yes, that would be quite nice; so I asked the guide who was with me during the reading, "do u want me keep that in mind? because surely I will forget that that is what I want only. yes, the inner voice said. it must be held in mind daily, and yes you will forget if you don't remember. Peace of mind really is the only treasure to find. if you have it, it seems another will resent you...and may even appear to steal it from you; however, that is just one viewpoint, you see true peace of mind is not a limited commodity that can be stolen. it's the other side of limitations; it's the conflict free mind and the stuff flows through so that u don't always have to be checking to see if it's still there, and if u still want it. of course you want it, but u may be talked into the idea you do not have it. let them exhaust themselves, for another who may say this is really speaking of themselves. that is what we do here...it may seem as if we are talking about another..but really we talk only of those ideas and beliefs which take up residence within our own selves..we reveal ourselves to one another this way. so u may always keep your peace and let it flow out to whom may share it with you and allow it and it cannot be stolen. by letting it flow, is how you get to keep it. ;D about creating your own reality...Q mentions there need not be a huge loss of life during the shift in consciousness. I agree. there have been down thru the ages and continue today dooms day soothsayers...I fail to see a need to get overly excited about any prophecies, even my own. I listen to Elias as well to instruct me in what I need to create in my own life and not what somebody is creating in theirs. He instructs that individually we need not create a doomsday mindset, nor anticipate that things are going from bad to worse. Peace will be created on earth, by each individual holding to peace, as I said, peace of mind is the treasure. and don't forget, that what we see out there, we are making it up as we go along in C1. it is an experiment which will be successful. love, alysia

Hello,
once when I had one of my mind-journeys made up here in or from C1, I had it seems like a hundred of thought-threads running on at the same time as it is usual for me sometimes. Then one thought came up: "Peace of mind would be good for you". Yes, I thought then, sometimes I forget. In this concern a poem comes in my mind:

The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
(Robert Frost)

Allright, spooky
