and he was a total skeptic..

It's not really of matter of whether or not skeptics deserve the afterlife, they get it anyway (the afterlife, that is). And then, if they are open enough, they will really 'get it.' Got it? Good! ;-)

Do men of BLIND FAITH deserve to be sucking
air??? (Thinking about (almost) the entire Republican party
here..!)
Or does the afterlife need their sheep-like stupidity, even as skeptics are the one who make life HERE on EARTH worthwhile? (Think science, medicine, technology yadda yadda... the Church didn't give us these things, pal...)
It's all relative, you see. A skeptical attitude bespeaks
a mind which seeks ANSWERS, and isn't satisfied
to munch grass and moo with the herd...
And if the afterlife IS "mooing with the herd", then
I don't want it... regardless of whether or not I
"deserve it."

As all Life survives this place - and should be the better for their time here - because infinite wisdom has decreed so, it is hardly useful for us to question it.
Wonder 'why', maybe, but we cannot change the rules.

Even the Catholic Church allows that those who aren't Catholic, or even Christian, may still be "saved" if they are a victim of 'Invincible Ignorance.'

People believe, or not believe, all sorts of things. But believing (or not) and knowing are two very different things. A skeptic is not any different from anyone else who believes they are right. Doesn't really matter what anyone believes, does it? We will all know sooner or later. Some of us prefer sooner without learning by the usual way, but that's not for everyone.

This question/thread is confusing to me because aren't we all skeptical about some things and don't we each have beliefs that are evolving things that we're attempting to upgrade all the time through awarness, experience, learning, and integration ???? And isn't the only real truth, is the probability that we're here to help each other on our journey's towards recognizing that we are one and that glue (Love) is the only thing that keeps us together and growing ???.

But maybe I'm really confused ????
