We will not remember going into the afterlife when we die.I beleive we will come back to earth again, and we will think it is the first time we ever lived.Any thoughts.George

Mediumistic work seems to suggest the very opposite, George.
Folk are well aware of things, people and situations that they were part of, plus they also seem aware of events that occurred since they 'passed on'. The vibrational speeds on each level seem to be entirely different, too. Much to think about, though. |

Hi George-
In general, we do not recall the afterlife because of two factors. The first is that our parents tell us to forget about that kind of thing, because it isn't real, so we do. The second is that we usually focus exclusively on the material world until we reach our twenties or later, at which time a few people start to get curious about other things. However, there are monks who would sit for years and slowly work backwards from the present age into their past in the womb and then farther back into past lifetimes. In more recent times, past life regression through hypnosis has become more popular, and works fine, providing that the hypnotist knows how to redirect your attention without leading you into false imagery by accidently suggesting things. If you're curious, go check it out for yourself. The IARRT has a number of Board Crtified past life regression experts, and most hypnotherapists with any experience can usually muddle through. dave |

Hi George-
The IARRT is at www.iarrt.org for the web site and pastlife@empirenet.com for their emails. If you poke up their site you'll find lots of Board Certified regression specialists. If you're in Central or Northern California, I'd be happy to meet with you for no charge. dave |
Title: Re: We will not rememer about being in Post by linn on Jul 19th, 2005 at 7:18pm George its been my personal experience to remember that I was indeed here before, I had real memories of another life that I recalled at the age of 4. These memories go by the wayside as we mature and get busy with this life. As a practicing medium and hypnotherapist there are many stories I could share . love linn http://www.spiritlinnusa.com |

George,
If we understand that the main reason of our lifetimes in the physical reality is to fill up our “spiritual” brain with new overviews, and won challenges that we weren’t able to won in the past --in our way to a perfect balance and happiness-- we’ll notice that the main thing is what we feel when facing a hard situation and what that feeling drive us to do. It’s because the way we feel things show us the way we really are by far accurately than our strict rational acts. So sometimes it’s better not know the past and do something just because our heart tells us to do. Otherwise if we do something just because we remembered our past lives and we saw that we must do that it would be only “rational”. What really means a change in one’s live is a change in the way one’s feel things. Take care |

I couldn't disagree more. I believe it's the exact opposite. Feelings are mostly determined by neural structure and chemistry in the brain, as determined by genetics and formative life experiences, etc. Rational free will chosen actions show who we *really* are. It shows what we are freely deciding to do, based on a choice made by the soul, rather than what our animalistic impulses and emotions are programmed to feel and push us to do. wrote on Jul 20th, 2005 at 9:55am:
Since one never chose how to feel things in the first place, it's pretty difficult (perhaps impossible in many cases) to choose to change how one feels things. If a person changes how they feel things, it's either because something biological changed in the brain from some natural deterministic cause, or it's because of supernatural intervention. In either case, it shows little or nothing about who we really are, the meaning of our life, etc. What we have the power to change is our actions; what we *choose* to *do* in our life. Freebird |

Freebird: I have to make a comment here about the end of your tag: God is good. He doesn't condemn anyone to eternal hell.................
God does condemn souls to hell if they haven't received Him as their personal saviour before they depart from this world. Those who haven't received Him...will be cast into the lake of fire with old satan buddy.....this is written in the Bible. The Bible also reads/says that not all 'so called' Christians will go to Heaven either.....that there are many, many who believe they are saved....but in fact fall short of the glory of God. The Bible clearly lays out the 'how to get to Heaven' for sure part. I found that tag of yours interesting.....it is misleading, in my view anyway. ;) |

In the original Greek text of the New Testament, there is no word meaning "eternal" used in reference to hell, the lake of fire, or any other terms used to refer to punishment. Yes, some people go to hell, but only temporarily. I would encourage you to read some of the articles listed on this page: http://www.christian-universalism.com/links.html#limited-punishment Freebird |

Hi Ryan,
I have received information from several who have crossed over. In several instances it was personal -- it related directly to me -- so I know they remember me. love, blink |
