Title: Q's for Alysia (astral travel)
Post by mystic_dreamer on Jul 9th, 2005 at 12:47am
Ok....so now that my interst is 'tweaked' on astral travelling...
That was a really strange experience that I had earlier tonight.....and so now I have done some web surfing on the topic and I have 'all these questions'......if anyone has any suggestions or answers, please feel free to reply!!   ;D
Ok....Alysia....you know that I have made many references to different experiences that I have had over the years...dreams...prenomitions, etc...
I mentioned here in another thread tonight about the possibilty that I may have nearly gone into astral projection tonight....so I did some reading on another site...and what they say about astral travelling, really sounds like the things that I have already experienced before. Is this what the floating and flying experiences are that I have had over the years? Astral travelling?? I always seem to take a jump into the air...and then I am flying....one time here, I wrote about repeatedly jumping into the air to get higher up...and then before I knew it, I found myself in some completely strange place somewhere, where I couldn't even communicate with people there because they spoke a different language..one that I had never heard before....was this astral travel?
This kind of flying around, jumping into the air, happens to me alot......is this astral travel and I haven't even been aware of it??
And I have another question for you.....lol....."Dear Alysia....'...!!!!!.......I have talke to you before about how many times I have gone to sleep and people have thought that I was dead in my sleep......is this a period of astral travel??
And......you often hear about people talk about 'falling in their sleep'.......I get this once in awhile...as everyone else.....is this actually falling back into your body from astral travel?? Like a 'bad' return to body or something??
and I think this is the last question here......we all get that feeling that we have 'been there before' or 'done that' before.....I wonder if these are experiences that we are remembering from astral travelling....what do you think about that?
You know....I wasn't really interested in astral travelling before....but after this strange experience tonight that I replied about in another thread here tonight....I am really interested now. I have a feeling that I have been doing this all along and never knew it before....
People have been telling me for years that I must have a really wild imagination or something because of the 'dreams' that I have and that I can actually remember so much fine details....so Alysia, what do you think? Has this been astral travel all along??   ;)

hey there night flyer...welcome to afterlife knowledge. you already know the answer to your questions and just want confirmation.
I'm gonna go out on a limb to say yes, all this time you've been an explorer within astral realms but since the collective agreement in this world asserts dreams are nothing more than unexpressed desires, or rehashes of some past experience, or even (love this one) due to spicy food intake, then you could not speak about your dreams and flights for you would be certainly misunderstood.
what I see you doing right now is "waking up" to who you really are. as is so often the case here we dance not to get to the end of the dance, but just to dance, so I am fantastically enjoying your creativeness as well the many sharings you bring to us.
actually I want you to write a book, but that's because I'm into that writing thing, so if you could write one, maybe I could take a vacation...lol....you have plenty of material and top notch.

it's what I call involuntary astral travel versus voluntary. or spontaneous obe versus controlled, experimental obe. btw, I have been accused unfairly of having an overactive imagination, which I somehow managed to turn into a compliment for myself..lol...you see, you must remember what Einstien said quote, all you non-believers..."Imagination is more important than knowledge." I believe he said this to mean this earthly life values knowledge, which is finite, which is absolute, which is infallible. yet if you look around you, your tenure here is temporary, therefore not finite, not absolute and seemingly so fallible to woe or struggle to maintain absoluteness. therefore give way to imagination, for that is where dreams help us as well as feelings, intuitions, nudges towards what society will call insanity. imagination is the essence of what it means to be a co-creator with the creator.
your feelings tell you that you have been going obe all along. therefore you generate excitement of this knowing, and from that stems the thought "am I more than I thought I was?" ha ha! get it? that's what I mean you are waking up to your "moreness!" this exciting knowledge will lead you deeper into more adventures if you don't short curcuit it with doubting that you can fly, anywhere, anytime. the freedom of from involuntary flight to voluntary flight is inexpressible by word alone, and so that is what Bruce's books will do, to tell you to seek an experience rather than seeking an absolute truth, an absolute knowledge. the only absolute truth there is that I have found is that there appears to be a safety net out there when exploring, doorkeepers and such, so that we always end up exactly where we are supposed to end up; heres the clincher: according to our imagination.

early on, I was out there flying also. flapping my arms. lol. I was always surprised arms could work as good as wings to lift one off the ground. it was difficult. lol. one has to flap awfully hard for maximum velocity and freedom from gravity. I'm lazy. later, floating or gliding took over. becoming an orb, by conscious imaginary technique was the best of all experiences and portended the end of involuntary obe's. in such an instance, to experience yourself as a ball of light makes getting back to the body a delightful experience! ha ha!

what is just as fun as obe, is to practice asking a question: then releasing it and forgetting about it. then getting the answer and surprising yourself that you are able to do this; that you are able to hold your cup up, and that it will be filled, and to the measure that you have imagined, and sometimes will overflow. makes a gal get lazy after that! ha ha! talk later. you are something, you know?

btw, my opinion, astral is associated with emotions, an emotional creative dimension, right brained.
there is a mental projection plane you explore with the question idea. it's also fun. I think my orb experience was a mental body projection and therefore I was starting to use the left side of the brain where before I was primarily right brained. when the mental and emotional get in perfect alignment, thats when exploration gets even more fun.

Hi Alysia!! Thanks for all this!!! Smart lady you are!! Btw...when you talk of an orb....just what is that?? I've read that orbs are spirits...ghosts.....that get captured on film....are you talking about something else??
I have this really old upright piano....it's over 100 years old....I bought it from a second hand store...it was made in Germany and I have always wondered about the stories that this piano could tell if it could talk.....like, the wartime stories and the places in Germany where it may have been played..who played it...the songs...the feelings of people around it at the time....
I have wanted to sell this piano and so I decided one day to take pics of it.....when I downloaded the pics onto the computer I was surprised to see 3 orbs on one of the pics. I had taken several pics from the same position all back to back in fast sequence.......and there is only one pic where the orbs show up on. I guess maybe there is a spirit hanging onto this piano.  :o
And....I wanted to let you know that I do like to write...and I have been writing since I was a little kid. In fact, I have been writing a book lately that I want to get published some day....like....when it gets finished!!! ??????   :P
It's about domestic violence.....I have had this really strong desire to write this since I left my ex.....I think I am supposed to do this.
And I have wanted to write a book on all the paranormal....activity that has been in my life...all my experiences that I have ever had.
So you see?? You will be able to take that break after all!!! ;D

ha ha! MD, you card you! of course you must write! the ones who died from domestic violence, they cannot, so you can speak for them. I would read it. :D
well, yes, orbs are spirits, imho, although I can almost hear all the sighs and protests out there that it is not so. the reason I believe is because I became one consciously with dual consciousness. dual consciousness is when u can perceive yourself as present within the body and u can also percieve your awareness extending outward to a physical location. actually I had a body form at first, then arms and legs fell away until I was simply a ball of light out for a lark. it's a story in my book. peace, alysia
